Okay i would give 5 stars for the food alone. The falafel sandwich is SO good and the greek friend are chefs kiss and the baba ghanoush is probably the best i've ever had. After reading several reviews, I decided we should definitely check this place out. It's in a very unassuming little spot near the grocery outlet on 6th Avenue. We pre-ordered online and everything was ready when we arrived 25 minutes later. We have the falafel sandwich, beef gyro with fries, hummus and pita, and dolmas. I tried all of the vegetarian stuff and it was all very tasty. My falafel was not greasy, which I REALLY appreciate, but very flavorful. The fries were also really yummy, and I don't really care for fries. My only suggestion would be to warm up the pita before serving, but otherwise, very good. I'm sure we will be back! read more

The owner/chef is super patient and very thoughtful with my dear wife (who has celiac disease and never wants to make a big deal out of)... he pulled out all the stops to prepare some absolutely incredible, fresh Greek food. Took the family for dinner and we dined in since it was allowed and there was only one other table occupied. The restaurant is in a small place, and it's nothing fancy, but the food... So I'll break down this review into two parts: food and service. Food: 5 stars and absolutely excellent! We had falafel sandwiches, chicken shawarma, Greek fries and two types of desserts. The food was so delicious, everything we had was great, absolutely no complaints! Service: 3 stars because after being seated, we were not offered any napkins, utilities, or water; I had to ask for all these item. Furthermore, the young man at the register wasn't very personable or knowledge when we asked questions at the register when ordering. If you're going to have someone up front to greet customers, have someone who is more engaging. The father/owner seemed to be a sweet man and was more attentive. I will return for the food, but will probably only do take out. It was disappointing to have my first indoor dining in almost a year be kinda of blah. Just Delicious! The rice & Greek fries are phenomenal. I would highly recommend! A small order is perfect for 2 people! We also enjoyed the gyro plate and chicken gyro sandwich. I had my hopes up for this place after reading some initially positive reviews. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype. I came for takeout during COVID. I ordered the beef gyro plate and had it split 1/2 beef, 1/2 chicken. I also tried the spinach pies, falafel, & Turkish coffee. The best part of the meal was the gyro meat; this was tasty and had the appropriate amount of seasoning. Everything else was either average or sub-par. The chicken tasted as though it had been boiled, and had no discernible seasoning. The texture was also crumbly, suggesting it had been sitting and/or potentially reheated. The spinach pies were fine, but the dough was soft & dense, also suggesting they had been re-heated, likely in a microwave. The falafel were good, but average (i.e. nothing spectacular). The hummus was also fine, also average. The Turkish coffee was horrible; it not only tasted as though it had been sitting out, but it also had all the grounds at the bottom of the cup, which was akin to drinking sludge. Not good. I had high expectations after reading the positive reviews here. I will concede that the gyro plate, at $11, is a good value. However, if you are looking for the best possible quality Mediterranean cuisine in the Tacoma area, there are other places that are better and will continue to get my business. read more

So flavorful and generous portions! We were in town to go to a concert and it had an extensive menu to choose from. There was a lady picking up her order and recommended the chicken dish. Such a great choice! All dinners come with a deliciously flavored long grain rice, a dollop of hummus with olive oil and salad. My family got the beef kebabs, falafel and the beef wrap. Before I ate today, I was in a rage; I have three tests coming up. I decided that I had no time to cook, and I ordered from this restaurant. I needed a good gyro. In fact, I wouldn't have minded a mediocre gyro. However, the moment I started eating, the food was so delicious that all of my bad feelings melted away. We had a failed attempt at going to lunch in Gig Harbor, so on the way back, I remembered I had this place bookmarked and we stopped by. It's a little hole in the wall place with vines growing from the planters up over the windows. We found the right door and went in. It's just a little nondescript restaurant. The front desk guy was nice and didn't act weird to my wife and me. She's visibly trans, so we really appreciate it when nobody freaks out or acts nasty to her for it. We just got two lamb/beef gyros and soda pop. We decided to eat there as the place was empty and this would be the first time we'd eaten out in close to a year. The cashier brought our plates, which were generously piled with gyro meat, rice, salad, and hummus. They were also not shy with the tzatziki sauce. It was an excellent amount of food for the $11.99 we paid for each plate of food. I was so full I didn't eat dinner later. Everything tasted amazing. Portion sizes are huge and the prices are low for this quality. I got the chicken shawarma with rice, salad and hummus. The chicken is so tender. The spinach pies come with three. Be ready to share. Stumbled across this place reading Sue Kidd's Dine In Pierce County blog. I had no idea there was a restaurant (or that they had had a Mediterranean store!) in this spot.
