I guess it depends on the season and weather. They were here for hours and towards the end of their tree trimming I heard a loud thump. Turns out they dropped a large part of a tree on our front porch. It broke the pillar off its base, crumbled some of it, cracked some of it and scratched paint off. They claimed they would repair it. I've had two people from the company who have come back out to the house to "look at it" but as of now no one has come to fix it. It's pretty upsetting they haven't righted their wrong and poor business practices in my mind. It's not a cheap service and this leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

He came and gave a bid. HE WAS NOT the cheapest but seemed as if he would be able to do what was needed in a timely manner. He came to give us the bid right away... during a time that many would not even return a phone call. We wanted the trees cut down and the wood removed, completely. Also removal of the stumps . This he did do, and the stump work was very good. Better than most I have seen from others. (Our neighbors were left with roots in their yard from the people who did their trees this summer) All in all we are very, very pleased. There was only one small hiccup in part of the wood being removed. But this was not Ken's fault. Another tree service had wanted of the large trunk pieces and I could not get that company to come and get them. Ken also tried, but to no avail as this other company must be very busy as well.... so Ken did come and cut them into smaller pieces and take them away. We could not be more pleased with the end result... And will recommend him highly.

They gave us a fair bid for the job and then completed it on schedule. They needed to go onto our neighbors' property to get the job done safely, and they did an excellent job communicating with the neighbors. They came back several weeks later to grind out the stumps. Another tree service said they couldn't get their stump grinder down our narrow driveway to the backyard. But Carl's had no problem, and they left the yard in great shape with the giant stumps all gone. They had to take down the fence and put it back up again, and they took care with that, leaving the fence in great shape.
