Parking is available in about 5-6 spaces up front and I think this is more of a carry out place. I spoke to the owner - was very impressed. He is focused on excellence and it shows. He has been awarded a Heinz 'Black Kitchen Initiative' award. The place looked clean and he made me feel welcome! With the place not being servirle orientated, you would expect more emphasis to be placed on the food but I didn't really feel that. More focus seems to be on loading up toppings rather than making a real quality dog that you would even enjoy void of toppings. All in all, I knew I had to try the depot but I don't feel like coming back and I don't think you'd be "missing out" if you don't make your way here.

I don't get the hype around Nathan's. The hot dog itself was just okay, but the bun? Stale and dry, like it had been sitting out all day. It completely ruined the experience. To make things worse, the fries were a disaster--soggy, limp, and completely flavorless. For a place that's supposed to be famous, you'd think they'd at least get the basics right. On top of that, the setup was a mess. The ordering process was chaotic, the place wasn't particularly clean, and the whole experience felt rushed and disorganized. Our waitress did come by a few minutes later and drop two pitchers off of drinks for our refills but after this we didn't see her again. The table of nine received their food. At this point we had been waiting for about thirty minutes. I asked a different waitress at this time if she could check on order as it had been a bit since we placed ours. She acknowledged this and went to find our waitress. The other waitress we asked to check on our food then came back asking what we had ordered. Ready to take our order again. I got up and came around the corner to find our waitress going through the tickets at the register. That's when she proceeds to say that she can't find our ticket. That she handed it off to the kitchen but the kitchen didn't have the ticket. I asked her two questions. How did she lose the ticket and how does she not check on her tables? She pushed the blame to everyone else and never offered to make it right. That's when we decided to leave and not wait any longer. When we came back around the corner our old waitress asked the other waitress what we were doing and she said they're leaving. The initial waitress then shrugged her shoulders at us. I asked for a manager and then was told they wouldn't do anything. The service here is awful. I have been coming for years. Unfortunately the waitresses do not care to check on your table nor your order. We just waited over thirty minute for our order that never came. People came in behind us only to get their food. The waitress told me she couldn't find our ticket. No offers to make things right. Told me don't bother talking with a manager because she had been there for thirty years and he would do nothing about it. Wow! Let down.

They were soggy, had no salt or seasoning, and were not very warm at all and we live less than ten minutes away. I believe they have a decent product, so if they would just tighten things up a bit with their phone service, provide consistent, balanced toppings and season/salt their fries, we would eat here more often. Despite the issues, we are willing to give it another try. Would love to give them a higher reviews score, so hoping with this feedback, they nail it all next time!
