Since neither of us have much experience dancing, other doing the robot, we wanted to find something affordable while still teaching us as much as possible. I'll also mention: Apparently there's an online scam these days where people set up fake dance studios, collect payment for dance lessons before hand, and then people find out they've been ripped off when they show up and it's an entirely different business. Thankfully, We Dance Nashville is nothing at all like that. We worked with Lisa, who was very professional, and a very good teacher. She was very patient (which is good for me), and provides the right kind of "tips" to help you correct your mistakes. They were very accommodating with people's schedules (which is important, since we could only meet her in the evenings). They also have group classes, which we never tried out, but I'm sure it'd be lots of fun.

I did not know what I was getting myself into, but it was an amazing experience! They don't have many in person classes a week, so the only option that night I was there was beginner hip hop. That class was open to kids and adults, so expect a range of ages! There were probably about 50 people in the class that night, and I was told that it was a "slow night" for them. The studio is huge though, so I definitely had enough space to do my thing. If you follow them on social media and/or subscribe to their email list, then they post the songs in advance! The class starts with a warm up/stretch. I was fortunate that the instructor was the famous Jordan Grace who founded the studio and has been a backup dancer for a ton of big names! She was so sweet and supportive and damnnn can that girl dance! Afterwards, she started teaching the choreo, and it was probably around 30 seconds or less. We also split into partners or pairs to practice in between to make sure everyone knew the choreo. We also split into groups, so your partner could watch and give you feedback. I was confused at first why the class was more expensive ($32) than a regular dance class in NYC, but I soon found out that they do professional group videos every class that's included in that price. We got into groups of 6 people for the small group video. Everyone is cheering you on, so it was a great supportive environment! Just when I thought the class was over, and we were going to watch Jordan and her assistants do their professional video, she had everyone crowd around the center studio sign, and she pulled me out to the middle of the studio floor for a solo professional video. After my initial sheer panic and the amazing crowd pumping me up, I just let loose and danced, so I got a free solo professional video too! After her video group went, then she also pulls random people out one by one to freestyle in the middle! What an experience - totally different from NYC! They send the videos out a few days after the class through a link that's sent via email. If you want your own solo video, then you can pay an extra $10 and stay after the class to be filmed too! They also offer online tutorials of their choreos too! Overall: HIGHLY recommend if you're ever in Nashville to dance here!!!

It is refreshing to have a studio where learning how to dance is emphasized as opposed to just…read morelearning a dance over and over to compete. Every child's progress and development is fostered. Your dancer will be inspired to do his/her personal best. All of the classes are considered important for any level a child is dancing at, and all dancers, whether on the company or not, receive the same training. We had noticed before that if you are in "recital classes" at many places that you learn very little and can only achieve significant training if you are on their company. Ballet and technique are emphasized. This studio has drop in classes as well. My daughter has progressed significantly in the past year, and she is doing things she would not have had the opportunity to do before. My son also takes some classes here to compliment his athletic endeavors and lay the foundation for dance for whatever he may choose to do in the future. Hard work, discipline and amazing teachers have made both of them more successful. Whether you are on the company or not, all are invited to attend the conventions in which we participate. The company does participate in competitions in order to have the opportunity to perform, but they are not mandatory. They also will work with individuals to clean up dances they may be doing elsewhere or to enhance their training. I am thankful that this studio opened and that we had the opportunity to be here.

She was so much fun to work with. She cut our first dance song for us, wrote out a whole routine, and helped us master it (as best as we could). Lacey get's 5 stars! My only complaint is that they are 'private lessons' but there are always multiple customers there and you have to share the music. It's not very private at all.

I went here for three years taking piano and guitar lessons. Right before I joined I had this awful…read morepiano teacher. After begging my mon to quit she eventually stopped the dreaded lessons. My mom told me I should try someplace else. I was really speculative, but decided why not? Roots was awesome! I thought I hated music but it was just the teacher. They helped me learn how to love music. It's now my passion and I don't know where I'd be without them. Unfortunately I had to move and quit but I recommend anyone interested in music or dance go there.
