Different displays and information make this so memorable !

What a GREAT experience ! I actually learned so many things while here ! Honoring soldiers from the day one. Beautiful, articulate museum FULL of information and beautiful displays. The accept donations upon arrival with brochures and a kind person who Explains which displays are open. There is a gift shop and concession stand inside for convenience. They also host Army graduations on Thursday's and Fridays. They don't allow purses inside so be aware to only carry your wallet when going in. Highly recommend stoping with your kids.

We always visit Fort Benning every year for the Global War on Terrorism Memorial ceremony, due to my cousin being a fallen soldier. The program is usually held in the museum, followed by a brunch and a tour. The museum hosts were absolutely amazing. We did not feel rushed during the tour and we were able to also go on our own. The museum was clean and their restaurant also had great coffee. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. They also had arrangements for elderly to be driven from the parking lot to the front door. This was great, as we had my grandmother and my mom (who is handicap) with us. I also enjoyed visiting the gift shop. I was able to get some things with "Army Cousin" on them to honor my cousin. They also had special seating for gold star families, which was a nice touch. It meant a lot to us and it was nice chatting with veterans and other gold star families. Every year that we visit, we always meet and get to know other families. The museum is bigger than I initially thought. I highly recommend that you visit if you are ever in Fort Benning, Georgia. It is one of the best military museums.

Wow, what a place what a wonderful day I had I want to Fort Benning after watching my son graduate from basic training turning blue it was so good to see my baby hadn't seen him for six months sweetest lovable guy you would ever meet. The museum is beautiful I wish I had more time that I could've spent there they have a nice military store and of course I picked up a coffee mug with my babies face plastered all over it and some photos so proud of my son

If you're into military history, or even just history, then this is the place for you. This museum does a great job thoughtfully covering the history of the USA Infantry from inception to modern times. The displays are amazing and the artifacts are plentiful. I really enjoyed the modern exhibit and the WWI exhibit. The entry is free but I would recommend giving a donation by either cash or card. There's a great gift shop and food options as well. Make sure you give yourself a few hours to really be able to see everything.

You will need more than a day to see everything and read everything. If we are in the area we will go back. Excellent museum!

This is a pretty cool museum. Very informative and fun. Worth the money and great for history buffs like myself. It was clean and the staff were polite.

The best military museum I have ever visited. The level of attention put into every exhibit was evident. So many real vehicles and artifacts from the Infantry's history here. Lots of light and sound effects. I especially loved watching the videos and recordings of old radio and television broadcasts. It gave me a glimpse into the past from so many different perspectives - literally from all over the world and up and down the timeline. This museum is simply amazing. I would very much like to return here with my family. I'll definitely recommend my friends and relatives to check them out if they're ever in the area.

A few years ago we went to a really fun wedding in the museum. My son has always wanted to go back here and look around more. We stopped on a road trip on a Sunday afternoon and enjoyed our time here. The museum is HUGE and we enjoyed our time here. There is a section for every point in US infantry military history. I highly recommend going here. Admission is free but you can make a donation. My teenager also enjoyed the simulations that you pay to do. I hope to go here again one day. L

Daily schedule of training. Appreciate our Armed Forces.

Rain in Florida and Georgia changed our plans a bit and husband suggested this museum. Upon arrival you are searched and wanded then cleared to go in. The place was free and really big. There is a lot of information to read. Nothing was interactive. The lower level had tables all set up nice for a banquet. There was a nice gift shop with armed forces stock. I was tempted to buy this sauce in a grenade bottle but didn't want my luggage confiscated at the airport by TSA.

My son and I really enjoyed this walking tour through the history lesson of the US infantry. Before you walk in, you will see a huge statue called Follow Me that originally was known as The Infantryman. It is an amazing statue that shows the tension and leadership of an infantryman leading into battle and sets the tone for what you will see inside. The interior is set up three levels, the first floor (below where you enter) is made up of seizure separate rooms covering time periods from the revolutionary war thru today. The second floor has exhibits showing infantrymen in various depictions of wars through the ages with music, flashing lights and sounds of gunfire and artillery. Behind that is information on training and what equipment men go through. The third floor highlights the Hall of fame for OCS and Rangers. Outside, there is also a World War II Company Street, which you can stroll or take a guided tour. We really enjoyed the exhibits, especially the area as you enter the exhibits and the downstairs area that showed a lot of equipment used in the various wars. There were some excellent displays and dioramas on WWII and Desert Storm. We also enjoyed the VR game they had set up, my son and I took it as a family contest. Sadly, we did not make it to Company Street as we got a late start and had a drive in front of us. For those of you traveling, there is a Hampton Inn that shares a parking lot with the museum, so it is a convenient place to stay.

Starlight view of the building, the parade field, some original buildings from e 1800's. Cool.

This is absolutely amazing. First of all, it's free. And this is one of the most comprehensive recounts of American history I've ever seen. The place is huge and we honestly couldn't do all of it in one visit. If you are Interested like we are, you read everything and it's so compelling. My eyes and feet were tired. We've pledged to come back next time we are through the area. I recommend this to everyone with any sense of love of country. Must see! Don't miss! Clean, beautiful. Friendly staff.

One of the best Museums in the country. Take my daughter almost every weekend and there's always something new to see. Highly recommend.

The museum is located within 2.5 miles of downtown. The short series of intersections from Veterans Parkway is a bit confusing - you angle back over 90 degrees to the right, but then have to make an almost immediate sharp left onto yet another road. In the end, you turn into a sort of alley just before a storefront displaying a "Royal Crown Cola" sign. Parking was a bit tight, but you can circle the building to get out. Once you enter the facility, there is a modest antique / flea market on the main level. You can browse here for free. However, if you wish to proceed you'll need to pay $10 apiece. We were greeted by the owner and his adult granddaughter. He explained what was (literally) behind the curtain - multiple museums of lunchboxes, RC Cola, Tom's Peanuts, and antique radios. There is also a display of cars (mostly antiques) after you exit. The owner was quite friendly and well-versed on the subjects. I gathered that he had been running the place for quite some time. The 'museums' are obviously not The Louvre. If you like lunchboxes or had one or more as a child, you'll likely find multiple items of interest here. I was able to find one that (I think) I used in my preschool years. There is a staggeringly large display (~ 5000) of lunchboxes. There were a number of them that surprised me - obscure shows that somehow merited their own box... In some cases, they seemed to be an open invitation to bullying, but whatever. I was previously aware of RC Cola, but I did not know that it related to Nehi, or that there was an earlier company. I vaguely recall that "Tom's" was a brand of snacks/peanuts, but not much else. The antique radio gear was neat, though I do not recall the majority of the people in their Georgia Radio Hall of Fame (there is also one of these in LaGrange, I believe...). The car exhibit was somewhat small (2 rooms) but interesting. They featured a Plymouth Fury and a Ford Thunderbird pulling an 60s (compact) Airstream trailer. There were several other cars (some for sale) including a Tesla. If you ever carried a metal lunchbox to school and don't take everything too seriously, you might enjoy a visit here. I'm giving 3 points for the museum itself and one point for the uniqueness.

There was a decent amount of outdoor walking required to go through the exhibits. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, I just recommend either bringing a drink or visiting when the weather is cooler. During the walk we encountered a friendly dragonfly, which made it worth it. The village seemed to be understaffed, because only half of the buildings had guides to show us around. For the deserted buildings, we had to guess what things did what. The place we assumed to be the woodcarvers shop looked like there would normally be a staff person there, but their station was empty. this concerned me because we had smaller children in our party, and some of the sharp carving tools were left on the tables. Other than that, staff that were present gave wonderful demonstrations of the profession they represented. Most notably, the weaver and the blacksmith. The weaver walked us through the whole process from the cleaning of cotton to sewing the final fabrics together into clothing. The blacksmith worked in a functional smithery and showed us how they created a metal hook using actual fire and metal tools.
