You don't get a lot of space for that price but as I didn't have much stuff at the time it was ok for me. I liked how secure the place felt, there's a automatic gate that's activated with a personal code and the manager lives on site. However upstairs where my storage unit was the lighting is a little dim so it's hard to find things in your unit when you need to grab something. One thing I was quite disappointed with is that the metal handles of my drawers went rusty and the duvet I stored in there grew horrible orange mould. So if you store your stuff in there, make sure it's protected against the dampness.

They have a range of units here, from quite small to big garages for boats and the like. They also offer deals if you sign up for a certain length of time and offer monthly billing if that's easier for you.

The first place I stopped by for a quote was Storage King in Takapuna, and the facility offered almost everything I needed for the job at hand. And if it wasn't for the slightly more expensive pricing structure, then I would have taken them up on their offer. I did buy all my boxes and wrapping from them, and I did find them to offer the best all round service, but the price was the only reason I went elsewhere. But if you're after good service, then I can safely say that they are the best in town, I was almost enticed, and can recommend them, as they have great storage areas, and added value.

Last year we moved to Auckland from overseas and brought a few pieces of furniture and a whole bunch of boxes, less than half of what we owned previously to try and keep the cost down amongst some other reasons. It was stressful, belongings that have personal and practical usage were in all that stuff and I wanted it to be safe and secure. The staff at Storage King Remuera were very friendly and helpful which made the whole situation a easier. They emphasize that if you want to extend your lease on your storage make sure it is done so in advance, otherwise a hefty fee will be added to your bill. Another handy hint that may save you some dollars before you book with them, if you have your own padlock, a nice big strong one, take it along, otherwise you will have to buy one from them, an additional cost that may make you grit your teeth that little bit harder.
