I found this clothing just right. The customer service is wonderful, helpful and respectful. Their products work well for the woman who wants style and dresses following a budget. I would like more lavender which looks great on an older gal, but their choices suit me to a T. They are so close to home you don't wait forever for it to come from Asia, etc. ad nauseum and they respond to returns in a jiffy. I like them very much. read more

Absolutely horrific customer service. Was on hold for an hour and 3 minutes. They called back and when I said how long I was on hold they got defensive, and hung up on me (I didn't curse them btw). All this is AFTER they sent an order that we already cancelled long ago because of screw-ups. I'm sure they will charge me but what a surprise they will get. Terrible company!! read more

Purchased one of their housecoats as a birthday gift more than 30 days in advance. Recipient is a 1X in ALL other brands of housecoat: but this was tight and it RUNS SMALL. Went to exchange for size and was flatly refused via email by a CSR from National "We cannot accept returns more than 30 days after package is received", in DIRECT CONTRAST to the "All backed, of course, by our no questions asked, 100% Satisfaction Guarantee" statement on the product's seller page, without mention of the 30 day cutoff. Will NOT STATE in item listing, or seller profile, IT IS LIMITED TO ONLY 30 DAYS IF BOUGHT THROUGH AMAZON. You ONLY get the longer, 180 day guarantee , as stated on their website as: "Your purchase is guaranteed. If you are not pleased with your purchase - for ANY reason - just return it in its original condition and packaging within 180 DAYS of receipt, and we will cheerfully refund your money", which should apply as they are fulfilling the order and NOT Amazon, ONLY if you buy through shopnational.com. I called the company.They are inflexible, belligerent and should have made every effort to keep a new customer with a satisfactory resoultion, but I got nothing but excuses. Told the agent a bad review was coming and she said nothing but "OKAY!" in a sneid manner, so here you go! If the full guarantee is only good at shopnational.com, and not Amazon, STATE IT CLEARLY In the item description or seller page, and let the customer decide if they want to deal with you! I did business with this company through Amazon. I purchased a pair of Isotoner gloves in the color taupe. The color that I was sent was dark taupe. Trust me the colors are totally different. Okay, so I went through the third party return process and National did send me prepaid return label. I was very clear in my instructions that I fully expected my initial shipping fee returned because they sent me the wrong item. Companies DO NOT get to keep shipping fees if they mess up. They may try, but it's not right. Here is where the problems began. They received the gloves back and a full week went by with no return. Hence the reason for my call. If anyone wants to take the time to call National you'll find this to be true of how they answer the phone. Hello thank you for calling National this (lets say Dorothy) then nothing. They don't say how may I help you. They don't say may I have your name. THEY SAY NOTHING!!! it's like dead air. I know this how they are trained because when the first CSR was rude to me after I asked for a supervisor I decided to hang up and call back. Again, "Thank you for calling National this is "whoever" then nothing. I asked her why she didn't say anything like can I help you or anything and it actually threw her a little. I then said this is the first time and the last time I will ever deal with your company. That threw her as well. So I went on to say that this was my second call because of how rude the first lady was to me. I explained that "the rude CSR" told me my refund was being processed as of yesterday and the amount. I asked her about shipping. She actually said we don't refund shipping because USPS charges the shipping. I explained to the friendly CSR that while the rude CSR was arguing with me I was thinking no lady it's your company that charges shipping. Funny right? Anyway, the CSR asked me if I received a prepaid label. I said yes. It was as if that was my consolation prize for their screw up. I told her to put herself in my position. That I was sent the wrong item, so I should not be out the $5.44 shipping and have nothing to show for it. She contacted her supervisor and was told that the shipping would be returned. I then ended the call saying that she needed to find out who took the initial call and retrain them. read more

I attempted to place an online order with National. However on clicking the submit button, I was given a window telling me that there were insufficient items in stock to fulfill order. This had to mean that the order was not accepted. Therefore I attempted to place an alternative order; only to receive the same insufficient warning. Having encountered past problems with National, I then telephoned them to confirm that neither order was processed. The customer service response was to tell me that both orders were indeed processed and that I could cancel neither order as they do not accept cancellations of online orders. This attitude was positively amazing in light of the fact that their system had notified me that they could not fulfill the orders, and in light of the fact that no more than 30 minutes had passed since the orders were attempted. I asked to speak to a supervisor, yet never received a return call. This escapade of National's left a $200 charge on my credit card while I awaited the shipments and then National's acceptance of their return. Sadly I was forced to determined the company to be untrustworthy, as this was an obvious sham! read more
