Nations church has been a pillar in the community for over 20 years. Pastor Phil and his team has been there for my family by hosting my dad's funeral, visiting and providing help while my mom went through cancer treatments. They have even put together local concerts and conferences to help the whole San Fernando Valley come together and meet God. Excited to see this church growing more, and building up leaders. From the first day my family and I visit this church, we loved it here. The Lord's Spirit is so sweet, as soon as you walk in. The worship is beautiful and honoring to the Lord. The congregation and leadership here are so welcoming and kind, from being greeted to the coffee break, to after service, on your way out. What a beautiful house of worship. I love the music and the free flow of the service. The people were all very kind. The message was full of bible scriptures. All of the children were very well behaved. You can tell the senior pastor was genuine and that he loves the congregation. The pastors wife and children clearly love the Lord also which is a great indication that the pastor authentically loves Jesus. This is a safe place for anyone looking for a church home. The pastor is also very relatable to this generation as he is an amazing music artist also. Phil the Voice is a legend in CHH (Christian Hip Hop). New year brings fruitfulness and because I have been a member for more than a year now time to post review. I was raised in a UPC church and at time I was in look for a church I have been to a few and same way I entered same way I came out. I didn't feel the Holy Ghost or some were Just Money greedy. I prayed and prayed for a good church and one day I decided look on U-Tube I wanted hear a good honest preaching. Came across pastor Phil's sermon and god as my witness end of that preaching I was on my knees praying worshiping god. This was in December I vowed to visit this church in January and ever since I have been coming here along with my boys. This is a Multi Race Church All are Welcome but don't be mistaken when the pastor preaches the Truth! church of discernment in the spirit with loving Christians. A one star is still a high rating for this church. Worship not spirit filled, one song repeated 4 times. The pastor admitted he kicks people out from the podium. Only about 25-30 people in attendance. Nobody greeted me upon entrance. No water or coffee unless you pay $5.00+ and nobody there to assist you. The service is short, my spirit was not fed. I filled out visitor card, no one called or followed up. The next time i went i was kicked out because i asked someone to pray for me in my first visit. The pastor (fake) would not lay hands on me or pray for me. As the bible says many will preach who are wolves in sheep's clothing. Egotistical pastor with no love in his heart for the lord's people. Anyone who gives this place a rave /high review is lying. read more

They absolutely zero respect for neighbors and especially people from other religions. They been asked politely to turn the music down , but with ignorance, they decline. read more

I was invited to this church by a member of this church. I walked in, was greeted and ushered to a seat and within 2 minutes someone came up to me with about 6 other men and asked me to the lobby. One of the men said that the Pastor has a bad feeling about me and doesn't feel safe with me being on the property. So they asked me to leave. Unbelievable! This has never happened to me. My friend was scared surprised but stood his ground and protected his position. Eventually he left this church shortly. read more

A great place of worship. I have been familiar with this church and its leadership for over 10 years now. They love their community and are a great bunch of people. They offer two Sunday morning services to chose from, both with the same great music and message. The pastors are all GREAT, loving people. They welcome people from all backgrounds and experiences. No judging here. Just acceptance and grace. They offer wonderful youth services for your teenager, an amazing kids program on Sundays, and lots of opportunities to give back to the community. If you live in the central or west valley, this is the church to check out. Not too big and not too small. Just the right size and the right message...Jesus Christ! Now going by the name 'Nations Church', we got pulled outside by the pastor on our second visit and asked to leave, without any explanation. We were floored. As church - going Christians who are totally committed to Jesus, we are completely speechless, as the pastor refused to even tell us why we were being kicked out and threatened to call the cops on us if we didn't leave immediately. Obviously, this is very strange behavior for anyone, but for a place that claims to be a "welcoming, Christian community", is completely unacceptable. We really hope no one else experiences the humiliation and confusion we did at this strange place. read more

5 stars for friendliness and 1 star for content. There weren't any verses set up on the projector screen for the church goers to follow. Didn't look as though pastor studied prior to giving the sermon. In my opinion looked like he was "winging it". Music was good. But, overall wasn't fulfilled. If more time/ energy was spent preparing for studying/analyzing chapters and verses in the Bible, this place could really be something. But, until then, i will move on and continue on my search for something better. read more

Honestly, a very nice place of worship. While looking for a new church home and after seeing the commercial, one late night, I decided to Yelp this church (after forgetting the name) and of course check out any prior reviews (for which there weren't any), I decided to give this church a shot! The sanctuary is nicely decorated. The ushers although not overly accommodating, they were chill enough to allow one to seat themselves(f). The chairs are set up so that the pastor can see everyone. I never did get to hear any of their choir, but I assume there is one since I saw instruments up near the pulpit. Maybe I missed praise and worship. Nevertheless, the Pastor and his wife are very sweet. As a first time visitor, I received a beautiful mug and after service, there was a nice gathering, like a little party if you will, so you can meet the pastor and other elders in the church. Very nice experience. Not very full, but I assumed because it is the second sunday and second service. I was hoping to see a larger turn out in the congregation. Overall the Pastors message was pretty good and I found it easy to understand and stay connected. He wasnt up on the pulpit sounding preachy or screamy, just easy and simple. Seems like it is a teaching church. I definitely will return. I feel comfortable recommending this Bible based church. I found it inviting and sound. read more
