Are you kidding? User friendly? You have to put your photos in the exact order you want them when you upload them. You can't remove photos in a gallery. You can't reorder the first or last photo in a book and you can only delete the joined two photos on the layout. There is not an easy way to auto load two photos per page if you want to avoid the $240 (!?!) price tag at the end. The discount code doesn't work. How is this wirecutters top pick? I have spent hours and still don't have a photo book. I want to like them. I want them to work. I am willing to pay near $100 for a book. But now I just want my 2+ hours of my life back. I'm pretty tech savvy and miss the days of iphoto photo books. That was a great way to create books. Can someone please do better? read more

I just gave them another try, after a 6 year hiatus for enlarging 120 negative files. They have a special right now and it's clear why they need to pursue customers like this-the product needs work, and the print i got back is unusable. They embrace The worst American business model: Aggressive advertising, poor product. The postcard said: "We'll work with you to ensure you have a fantastic experience". It was not. They refused a refund even if I covered the return cost of the print to be destroyed (a 20x20 enlargement of a 120 negative). I guess their market is people to upload phone pics to be printed. nothing wrong with that. I remember now why I dropped them in 2019. read more

I never used Nations Photo before, but I was looking up another lab: National Photo in Pikesville, Maryland. They develop and print film and came across Nations by mistake. I like the idea they mount photos, Nations Photo that is, and their prices seem to be right on the spot. I think they charge $3 for an 8x10 inch, and if it needs to be color corrected: $3.76 I think. So an 8x10 inch mounted print would come to (I don;t have the price list) but $7, $8, even $9 seems ok by me if they do top of the line high quality work. I read a lot of bad reviews, and I read a lot of good reviews. I'm hoping they really do good work, and if so,, stay in business for a very long time. read more

Great customer service. Average quality. They remade the photos, and it looked like the brightness was just turned up, washing them out. I usually Photoshop and do a few test photos at Walgreens or Walmart and tweak according to the results before sending through a full order. I don't have time right now to edit, so based on the editing Nations Photo advertises, I sent the entire order. I did not notice any difference in the quality than getting them done locally. I also did not try test photos because I would have had to pay shipping. As I mentioned, excellent customer service. They also offered to give me a credit on my account but if I didn't like the quality twice, why would I order again? I ordered 19 images and around 14 were enlargements. So far, I'm using 2 of the 5x7's. Everything else is getting tossed. Costly mistake. If you have time to go back and forth with customer service, it may be worth a try for you. read more

First time using Nations Photo Lab but I like the quality a lot better than Snapfish and other online photo services. I read about them online as having better quality photos. I ordered a collage print of my dog since she just passed. Am planning on framing it and putting it near me. The photo arrived very well packaged, esp since a dog peed on it on my front door. Service was fairly quick when I put in an order for my uncle's funeral photo. Placed order on the thursday of the week before and get the picture delivered by wednesday. Picture quality was good as well. The picture arrived carefully packaged in 2 boxes. Pricing is great as well! Got the order for $50. Photo was $19 and the rest were shipping money! read more

Unlike others, I had a very good experience with Nations Photo. We had a photo that we wanted in a 30 x 45 format and I wasn't sure if it was large enough to print that large. When we contacted their customer service, he looked at our submission and said that it might be blurry in some areas, but overall it should be fine. Once I agreed that they should move forward, when we got the picture, it looked great and I didn't notice any blurriness at all, but take that for what it's worth since I don't usually take a lot of photos. Anyway, for the service and price, I thought it was well worth it. Also, if you use their coupon, the photo was pretty inexpensive overall. read more

I've been on a mission lately to fine-tune my home office and really make it feel as productive and inspiring as possible. As I was ordering something on Amazon, the image of Jeff Bezos (when he was working in his first modest office, trying to get Amazon off the ground) pooped in my mind. I immediately decided that would go perfect in my office and did a quick search for a print shop. I found Nations Photo Lab and after a search for deals, I found a coupon code online for $5 off my order. The coupon code was THATGOLDEN5, if you'd like to try it (not sure if still valid). The order arrived within about 4-5 days of ordering it so I'm pretty happy. I ordered two 11x14 photo prints at $2/each and shipping was $7. After the $5 code, it came out to $6 shipped... pretty good deal if you ask me! I gave one to my roommate and put the other in my window sill, right next to my desk. I was so shocked at how poor the printing quality is of Nations Photo Lab. I am an amateur photographer, who has satisfactorily printed with various photo printers, including MPIX, Finerworks, and Shiny Prints. I had always heard that Nations did good photo printing, so.... when they had a sale, I decided to try them. I had them do large prints of 3 different photos. The resulting prints had poor colors and poor contrast. They offered reprints, and asked that I now ask for "color corrections", even though I use a color calibrated monitor, and softproofing. The results again were poor. I then sent them comparison photos of the same image done by another photo printer. Again, poor results. It's as if they're "guessing" accurate printing. I truly am shocked by their consistently poor quality. I am giving up on Nations Phot Lab. Definitely not recommended. Much better photo printing companies out there. read more

I was looking for new lab as Costco has discontinued their exceptionally good photo service. Reading through online recommendations, I decided to give Nations Photo Lab a try. I ordered metal prints for family and friends as Christmas gifts, spending over $500. The prints looked a bit washed out, lacked contrast, good color and detail. Not impressed. My album JUST arrived today. So sad-- I really wanted to be able to recommend! I recently placed an order for a linen-covered lay-flat album and did a ton of research across competitors. Though their software is a little difficult to use (if you want to change the number of spreads, you have to completely delete the project and start over), their competitive price point was pretty compelling and so I spent the extra time required to create my project as I wanted it. When the album arrived, it was packaged nicely, with a nice storage box, plenty of padding and desiccants to keep the album safe. The quality of the prints were super nice, and I was thrilled as I flipped through-- UNTIL I reached the end of the book, closed the cover, and was dismayed to find that the linen back cover had threads coming out all over it, fresh from the box!! If i'm going to be paying hundreds of dollars to pay for their premium line, I would expect that this type of fraying would be caught by quality control. What would have been an awesome experience was made pretty disappointing and I have to admit-- makes it so that I would unfortunately recommend looking at other places to order your "nice/forever keepsake" album prints. read more

I have not used Nations Photo since 2015 due to quality issues. After 7 years, I decided to try them again in 2022 and have been left very disappointed. I had ordered a desk calendar. When I received the calendar on 10/17/2022, I noticed that the heads were cut off in four of the calendar months. I contacted customer support via email. I received an email response from customer support asking me to send cell photos of the damaged product. The cell phone images would be provided to their "quality review department" for review and correction. So, I took photos on my cell phone and emailed them on 10/17. A few days later, I received another package from Nations Photo. It was another desk calendar, exactly the same as the original desk calendar. The heads are still cut off in four of the calendar months. I contacted Nations Photo again about the desk calendar. Still waiting on a response. read more

I've used Nations Photo Lab once and tried to use them again, but their site makes it impossible. I ordered my wedding photos through them and the ordering process was a pain in the neck, but ultimately the photos did arrive in good condition/quality and in a timely manner. I tried to order from them again and had the same issues ordering from the site and I'm just over it. There are so many photo print labs that have websites that work, why waste your time and frustrate yourself with this one? Their website is so glitchy. I spent an hour sifting through 600 photos for the ones I wanted to use and after an hour of work, I went to add them to my cart and the "add to cart" button was grayed out and wouldn't work. I would have had to start the process over from scratch if I wanted to continue with my order (which was a similar experience to my first time ordering), and I just don't have the time or patience to do that. I know I will want to print more photos in the future so I'd rather find a different company with a site that works so I can seamlessly print the photos I want without headache. I tried calling them and they said maybe the issue was that I was linking to Google photos to get my photos vs. uploading them from my computer. But they're the ones that offer Google as an option, so why doesn't it just work?! I mean that is so basic these days. To resolve the issue, they suggested sending me a 15% coupon which is such a joke because they literally spam my email daily with coupons for 30-50% off. I told them thanks but no thanks, it's time for me to find another printer! read more

After ten years as a customer, I can no longer rely on this business. The quality of Nations has gone down so significantly since I first started ordering. Each album seems to arrive with issues, whether it's peeling pages, poorly constructed covers, wrong covers (they often confuse acrylic & metallic), damaged album boxes, misaligned pages & more. I've needed to call customer service for almost all of my orders over the last year or so. They are always helpful, but it's a lot of back & forth, waiting for shipping labels, and then additional weeks for the corrected album to arrive (which sometimes arrives with other issues). It seems as though they have grown into a consumer lab, and have completely forgotten about their professional customers and their need for quality control. All-in-all, the prints are fine for personal use, but if you're a pro, do not waste your time here. They are not the partners your business needs. read more

I have used this company for the past 5 years and have always been happy with their photos and especially their customer support. My recent order takes this company to a NEW Level. I just received my photo album 99 for my Las Vegas Wedding.. I ordered the black 10 x 10 leather with thick pages. ( the thick pages were$ 70.00 more, however. get it... When I was ready to place the order, I was having some reservations because my wedding was at night and i was concerned it would turn out as one big blob. I had the luck of getting Josh Pelc answering the phone. He brought up creative ideas that I would of never thought about! The color correction team surpassed my expectations and even shows the lights from the candleabra reflection. This photo album is absolutely a showstopper. From the Black leather book. to the Gold Script writing on the cover. It looks like it is well over 1k.. My total price with all my upgrades was about $ 220.00. I have been ordering illustration prints through Nations Photo Lab lately, and I think I've finally hit my grace period limit. I've received unalligned prints that have black lines on the edges. I've ordered bulk prints, but received less than what I ordered. I've received several mounted prints with bent edges. I've received prints with terrible artifacts for some unknown reason. And to make matters worse, these have literally been the entire gamut of orders I've placed through NPL this year. 100% of my orders have had issues. To give them credit, however, their Customer Service is prompt, and they always attempt to remedy the situation. But because their production team is so unbelievably abysmal, oftentimes the replacement prints they send out have just as many issues. If you need prints to satisfy a client, or have ANY sort of deadline, avoid this company. read more

I wanted to enlarge my wedding photos (30x40) and decided to give them a try since they were offering 50% off large prints. Their website was pretty easy to navigate. I was done and checked out after about an hour. My prints arrived a week later. They arrived in protective packaging and were individually wrapped. I was honestly a bit doubtful about the quality of their prints since they were so much more affordable than other companies. Much to my surprise, the prints were perfect! The colors were soft and vibrant in all of the right places, and the photo quality was excellent. I chose to have them color corrected and got one in lustre and the other in glossy. I'm so happy to have found a reliable company to order my prints from now on. I highly recommend them for all of your printing needs. I haven't been to their physical location but I recently placed a big order on their website and I just wanted to say that I am very happy with the result and overall service. Their website is very easy to navigate and they offer a very high variety of sizes for photo prints - something that I found out is not the case with majority of photo printing services out there. The quality is great and everything was packaged very neatly so that the pictures don't get damaged during shipping. The best part was how fast everything took place. I placed an order at the beginning of the week and, by Friday, all images (of different sizes and counts) arrived at my door. Hard NO!! I had a poster printed, it was super grainy and dull. Nothing like what I'm used to getting. I challenged this with my credit card because it was so bad it was unusable. They refused to admit any issues, even though I had it reprinted and it looks just amazing! I should've never used anyone other than Poster Burner! I didn't know that there could be such a difference in highly obvious visual accuracy. I've had multiple order with Poster Burner and they never disappoint. read more

I am a professional photographer and i have ordered from Nations Photo Lab for prints and albums for my clients multiple times for the past 3 years. And unfortunately, the production and service has gone down in quality so bad as of late. We offer up the acrylic albums to our clients and they love it, its a beautiful product. Though we know it takes about a month (business days) in production (which is very long and crazy because other places do not take that long) we wait anyways and advise our clients for the wait because its so pretty to have as a wedding album. I placed another order with them at the beginning of December and i have still yet to receive my order. I ordered small and big prints and the album, i have received all of the prints in a reasonable time frame which is nice but no album yet. They do not work on products on weekends or holidays and since December is full of that i understood and stretched the delivery a bit. We were expecting it to come at the late-beginning of January but then it got pushed back until the 17th and then again until the 31st. But we did not receive any this information until we contacted them and that's when we were told that it was pushed back for production. It is ridiculous how management in this company have NO sense of communication with their customers. We had no idea what was happening with our order and as expected when I called, I received rude customer service and lack of help due to the issue. Obviously, I was upset and they knew that and they responded to me like I was not an important customer. I was even more disappointed with this company. We have called yet another time today about this order to see what is going on, because again they do not communicate at all with their customers, the person on the phone was respectful but she did not know what was going on either and asked if she could call us back to talk to someone else in charge, we are waiting for their call. Online it still says "in-production" and i have to say it is outrageous how that can be possible. I am extremely upset, displeased, disappointed and dumbfounded how this can continue. And needless to say, they have lost a loyal customer. I am not planning on ordering any more products from this company. I don't think anyone else should either. Not until, they create a better production team and customer service as well as any kind of communication about a ordered product with their customers. I really wish this company would step up their game and care a little more about their customers, it would do them a great deal!! All in all, if you're a pro, do not waste your time here. After years of inconsistent quality I'm finally DONE with NPL. I'm a pro and I most recently submitted three client print orders with inconsistent results. Two orders were fine but the biggest order, kindergarten cap and gown photos, were all underexposed by AT LEAST two stops when compared to the actual images I submitted NPL. They blamed me for not checking their "color correction" box and allowing them to alter my images. No, I want my photos to print EXACTLY how I submitted them without any alterations. If they had printed as submitted, I'd be happy. But no, they look like garbage. Time to search for a new lab. They will definitely not be getting my business any longer and from other pro reviews I've seen lately, it seems I'm not alone. read more

I would not recommend Nations Photo Lab in good conscious to anyone. I ordered and received an unacceptable photo print. I uploaded the same photo to Wal*Mart and it was acceptable the first time. At Nations Photo Lab I ordered a special size 12X16" print. I uploaded the photo and waited about 2 weeks for it to be delivered. When I looked at the photo it was several shades darker than my original, and not of the quality to sell to my customer. I contacted NPL customer service and.was told the fault was with the brightness of my computer monitor. This was untrue and a deflection of responsibility. They would not try to make the photo lighter. They offered 50% off the next level of printing they would adjust the qualities of the photo. I asked for a refund and they repeated the same offer. I mailed the photo back to them and contacted my credit card company to not charge my account for the disputed low quality order. read more

Update on 15 Jan 2019 I placed a large order of nine prints -- eight of them 20x20 and one 20x40 -- and they made a mistake! Their first mistake ever for me. I got two prints of one image, and zero of another. I got online, somebody popped up asking if I needed any help, I said "Yes!" Explained the problem -- and that guy put in a reprint order for the print I was missing. They then overnighted the missing print to me -- all at no expense to me. The whole experience was about as good as it possibly could be, unless you could throw in some Star Trek teleportation technology. But that would be asking a bit much, I think, and possibly dangerous. So. It is not possible to never make a mistake. The question is -- how well do you handle it when you *do* make a mistake. This could not have been better. I wonder if these guys would consider moving to Ann Arbor? read more

This review is strictly for the website. I used Nations Photo Lab because I wanted nice prints for my graduation photos. I didn't order the default school graduation photos because the quality of the picture is just terrible and expensive. I did my own shoot and was looking for a vendor that would print great quality instead of going to Target for cheap photo paper. I ordered a bunch of prints in luster and they came out great. Their prices are a bit higher than shutterfly, imug, and etc.. but I think the quality is better and delivery was very quick. read more

I suspect they really hate their jobs / not being treated well because I have never come across what felt almost like a hostile rep? Incredibly weird. I'm posting on YELP because after using their in-house review system and confirming my email address and so on...it never got posted. Smells like they are filtering any reviews that are less than flattering. I've ordered multiple wood prints (from another national, web-based vendor) so this wasn't a case of me not being familiar with wood prints and how they should look. The Wood Print Wrap was pretty underwhelming. The added text was mushy and almost blurry. Image edges were too soft; like the ink had soaked in too much. Muted colors I would expect--it's a wood print after all. But these just looked almost out of focus. They can keep their pending patent. It met the minimum requirements and was on sale so I'm going to eat this project as a lesson learned. But I won't order again. Not to mention that it took 15 days. I print/order pictures regularly...that's a pokey turn-around. If I'd not ordered wood prints before, my perception might have been less...demanding. The fact that there are only three reviews (as of this writing) for that product that's been out at least 18 months; that's a sign. Perhaps there are more reviews but they too were filtered. Who's to say for sure. Sorry guys. There are too many other options out there to accept anything other than excellent. read more
