We enjoyed a great dinner of Grilled Fish Fillet and Las Suizas Enchiladas. The fish was perfectly cooked and lightly seasoned in butter and Mexican seasoning (can't remember the name). The enchiladas were delicious and accompanied by black beans. This restaurant has a large juice bar so try a fruit juice or smoothie. I loved my Kiwi, Strawberry and Orange fruit juice which was served in a huge glass. Service was friendly. The great staff are very welcoming. We came back the next night for their delicious Breaded Fish Fillet and Shrimp in Garlic Sauce. They are open for breakfast as well. It is CASH only so bring pesos or US dollars. read more

It is hit or miss with this place. Great location, nice decor and atmosphere. The staff was nice as well. This place may be more known for their fresh juices but the food menu had a decent spread of choices. What I found to be unique was the bread they use for the tortas. I forgot to ask the server but I believe it was Cemita style bread. The torta did lack the appropriate amount of met I feel. If you are going to serve a sandwich this big, don't make the bite have more bread than meat per ratio. The flavor was good though just wish it had more met in it. For the price they charge I was a bit let down. That is the other thing guys, for some reason the price of this establishment could rival a lot of places in the US so don't assume you will have more cost effective eats as you may find some places are close American pricing. Most likely because of the tourism in the region but I bet you can find the same or similar sandwich on a street stall for about 30-40% less and just as good. Stopped by for a quick lunch. Love the decor and color in the upstairs seating. Service was attentive. My chicken burrito was full of good tasting chicken. Hubby's tacos were also full of goodness. After seeing long lines for takeout every morning I decided to check this place out. The lines are for the amazing Juices and that is all I am commenting on since I did not go inside to eat. They have a takeout area where you wait on the sidewalk for your order. Pros: As before mentioned, amazing juices. Freshly blended in front of you. Will not forget to mention that they are huge. And best of all they are only 40 Pesos which Is about $2.00! Cons: Takes awhile to get your order and will take even longer if there is a crowd already awaiting (most likely will be). Keep in mind you will be waiting with the Mexican sun beaming on you. I posted menu pics but just to give an idea of the options...I went with the "Jugo Verde" which consisted of Cactus,Grapefruit,Celery,Parsley, and Pineapple. They have great options. I walked by their juice bar and it looked like a nice ambient vibe. So I strolled in even though all I have been doing in Mexico is eating way too much. I ordered a nopal juice which they customized for me into my own green juice with cactus and honey. This place was disgusting. I got the vegetarian enchiladas and asked for it to be vegan. It came out with sour cream and cream sauce on it. They remade it but I don't know if they just scraped it off or what because it came back a little "used" looking. There was some kind of smell to the food. I couldn't tell if it was the smell of the can or it was something rotting. It was a mix of dish water smell, rusty can and something else. I couldn't eat it. Their soup was ok but most of the vegetables is cheap potato. The fruit smoothies are ok but that's hard to mess up. There's tons of places that make smoothies and juices--why come here? read more

If you're in Playa del Carmen you have to come here for breakfast! Their smoothies, juices, milkshakes, (the list goes on..) are as fresh as you can get them. Underneath the restaurant is a small shop with a variety of fruits that they use in your drink. So it's fresh, ice cold and only $40MXN (~$2USD) for a liter! My favorite one is called CHISPITA, it has pineapple, prickly pear, lime and orange juice all fresh and blended perfectly! For breakfast a must try are the CHILAQUILES: tostadas, beans, red or green salsa with your choice of meat (I have them plain) and some queso fresco. I think plate is big enough to split between two people and it'll cost you about $70MXN ($3-4USD). I have tried several of their other dishes but since I wouldn't be able to capture the essence of what it'll do to your tastebuds then all I can say is you must come feast on the food, drinks, and the artwork on on your trip to Playa read more

I feel like it is important to note this place has 2 locations. The 2nd one has rooftop seating. (1/2 block north from this location on the corner) Wow! What a find this place makes the classics as well as a HUGE variety of smoothies that are made right on site. Iv had the chicken fajitas a few times and decided to try the breakfast out this morning as my normal spot is closed on Wednesday's This morning I had an egg omelet with chicken and cheese inside with beans rice and a small salad on the side. The eggs were cooked a little well for my taste but they were still very good the fish is served with a handful of tortillas chips and salsa. I was able to finish the entire plate but was not left hungry by any means. I also had a cup of their coffee it was the perfect temperature, bitter in the ground and smooth down the throat. Over all one of the better cups of coffee Iv had here that wasn't from a coffee shop! This place has a lot of game, so watch yourself here. Ordered steak tacos and chicken tacos. I wanted a side order of beans like was on the menu. The server said I can't get that. OK. The server said my food came to 203 pesos. I saw the sign where it said they took Visa and MasterCard. I told server I wanted to pay by card. He said I couldn't. OK. Took forever for my order to come out and there was no line. Server gives me my order in a bag. The bag felt light, so I said, let me check this order. Sure, enough, the chicken tacos we're missing. OK. Server went into the kitchen making some big deal about the chicken tacos not being there. He came and told me 7 minutes on the chicken tacos. Order finally came, I checked it and it looked fine. Got home ready to eat my food and there was no steak in the steak tacos. This is some BS. Not sure I'll be back even for the drinks. There's another place right across the street for that. This place is awesome!! They have delicious fruit smoothies all day in either a 700 ml cup or 1000ml both very sizable portions. I got the cenote smoothie 3 times during our stay in playa because we kept going back. The service is very good and friendly. I had the chilaquiles with chicken for breakfast and the only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I didn't like the chicken that much and there was too much chicken on my plate for my taste. Delicious! The walk-up is a little odd, as you enter through the kitchen area to get to the stairs to the dining area on the second floor. Great smooties, plenty of vegetarian options , extremely friendly staff. We checked around for vegetarian options in many places around the town. Finally we found this place and were really amazed with the variety of vegetarian options a local mexican restaurant could have. They even had Vegetarian tamales. Their Yogurt and milk shakes are mindblowing. We spent majority of our vacation meals having smooties and trying different veg options. Highly recommended. There is also a sweet kind kid server about 10 years old who is always running around helping customers. They also offer complimentary corn chips and red sauce. Highly recommended.
