That aside, this place serves a purpose and serves it well. Much of the lot and inside of the building look exactly like it did when GetGo left the property behind for greener pastures. With that, that allows for the people running this place to offer a wide array of items that a typical convenience store carries. Walked in kind of late one night and was met with fairly quick service. Made for a quick in and out visit and had me on my way.

One of the sauces seemed to be just like ketchup and the other was watery. The samosa dough was undercooked in some parts, and it almost seemed like some parts were moldy. The stuffing was extremely dry. There were essentially no vegetables. It was seasoned with a ton of spices, but it did not taste like the same spice many Indian restaurants used. Not good, not good. All in all, the Indian food here is just not good, at all. Avoid it for that. The prices aren't good for items, either. Won't be returning.

But right around the corner is a large pittsburgh parking authority lot (and the cut through stairway leads you to a crosswalk basically right in front of the store). The store is smaller than I was expecting, but they pack a lot into a small space. There is a little bit of everything. Japanese and other Asian snacks and food, cosmetics (including Korean skincare, housewares like ramen bowls and chopsticks. They even had Hello Kitty toilet paper. There is a wall of claw machines and blind box machines (you need to purchase the coins for them) and lots of collectibles like pokemon. Prices were reasonable (although stuffies seemed really high). My daughter was really excited about the "really super cute" school supplies. There was a consistent line the entire time we were in there, but the staff kept it moving and were very friendly. Overall a fun place to find some unique items without having to pay crazy shipping rates if you tried to get them on your own.

I spent some time browsing the shelves for products that I had previously purchased during our vacation in Japan last year, for example, Kit Kats in different flavors. We saw a variety of foods, beverages, kitchenware, toys, beauty products, hygiene products, household cleaning products, office supplies, and more. Prices were reasonable, and some prices that were close to their expiration date were marked down. My husband loves gacha vending machines that dispense quirky little toys, and this store had some of them. I felt most interested in trying new-to-me foods, teas, and hygiene products. Overall, I think that Ebisu offers a decent selection of products that are a challenge to find in other brick-and-mortar stores in Pittsburgh.
