I had an appointment there during the worst snowstorm of the year and my bus was very late. Tried calling to let them know I couldn't be anywhere near on time and couldn't get through. Much later I did and they told me they would contact me with another appt. which they never did. It was an appt to renew the licence so it lapsed. The providers I registered with kept emailing me though as if the licence was still valid. And yes, you get crammed into a waiting room and forced to wait well beyond the scheduled time. read more

Horrible waste of patients time. I've been going there for a few years. Always horrible wait times. I think they make more money on new patients and don't care if they lose older patients to other medical cannabis doctors. I told them today that I'm unsatisfied with their wait times. Most of the repeat appointments require 5 minutes of talk and verification. After being checked in a nurse asks the same questions at each visit then you wait for 1/2 hr to 45 min for the Dr to repeat these questions. They reacted as if there's no problem with that, it's normal. They were very defensive and tried deflecting it as if I'm not allowed to expect better service or express this. Moving on...... I know other patients that get much better service from other cannabis doctors. read more

Yikes. Emails do not get answered even after two attempts. Staff need to be educated. They keep sending me emails with links I cant access EVER !!! I asked them to stop and again today I get another asking for feedback. Are they kidding me? then you get no choice as to where to get your prescription. they send you to Emerald Care. Read Health Canada's guidelines --- the use of 20 vile pesticides is allowed on marijuana plants . Look for an organic company which Emerald is not and the staff could not answer any of my questions. Really bad - stay away. I am now switching to another service as their staff is rude, poorly organized and really couldn't give a c**p about the patient. After sitting in a small room for over an hour I got up and left. I won't go back. Totally useless. read more

I have never been treated with such professionalism by a doctor in my life (and after waiting 45min past my appointment time to see her no less): the doctor was defensive from the get-go, and I should have followed my instincts and left right then, because my appointment only went from bad to worse. In hindsight, I can tell the doctor was very stressed, but that's no excuse for her behaviour: she didn't listen to what I was saying, was very terse and impersonal, was pushy and bossy, asked me inappropriate and vague questions, and I got the distinct impression that she really just wanted to get rid of me, which hurt. This is the worst clinic I have ever been to! Even walk-in clinics are more efficient with lower wait times. They way overbook, to the point that you're sitting elbow to elbow with a room full of people, with hour long waits regularly. For some reason there is only one person at the reception desk today, so it's a half an hour before you even get to sit, elbow to elbow, in the waiting room. Hopefully your health issues don't prevent you from being able to stand for that long! After all, this is a health clinic, and many patients that attend are ill. When you are required to have a follow up every three months, would be nice for your 10 minute appointment not to take almost two hours!! I hope to find another clinic before my next follow up because this is ridiculous! The two doctors I've seen here have no personalities and low affect too. Come on folks, you're prescribing weed! Been going here ever since I got my medical card. I am looking into another clinic tho. The appointment is set for a specific day and time but do you think this time is even close to when you actually get seen? Hell no. This clinic waay overbooks, not enough staff or doctors...today my appointment was at 11:30...at 12:39 (1 hr and 10 min and still not ready to be seen) I asked if I was forgotten, just to be told that should be soon, well that was what I was told an hour prior...this isn't the first time either..it was my 4th or 5th visit to the clinic and these major time delays happen every time...I could see if it was a walk-in clinic..but no, these are set times..like come on..very disappointed and do not recommend this clinic at all :( Might go back to buying my medicine the old school way and avoid all this hassel..and 4 follow ups are done within a year so to deal with these crazy wait times every visit?
