We tried various machines where every time we would get the item and the claw would be moving halfway towards the drop off section. The claw would open up on its own, even though the item was secure in the claw while moving the first couple seconds. The mail working the register told me his manager calibrates the claw machines in a way that you have to keep spending on it until you can have a payout. He said there's nothing he can do about it and that's how claw machines work. I feel like that's a poor excuse if you spend about $50 for young kids to try to get a prize. Other claw machines around town do not drop your item that many times and force you to keep spending over and over again. I think this will be our last time here.

I will say that Melina does have a unique eye for creating a beautiful aesthetic wedding. In my opinion, I think our personalities did not mesh as well as I would like. It was a business relationship only. I was hoping for a better personal relationship in some way with my wedding planner as it may help more in the planning and communicating aspect. Business relationship only is also fine but I think due to the lack of understanding of certain wants and needs of our vision of the wedding it took more persuading. Some things may not been done before which can be a little scary or difficult but also lining up back up plans or things that need to happen when things do not go as planned is necessary. Nonetheless, the show went on and the wedding was enjoyable for most of the guests and it was a beautiful wedding filled with love. However, I think listening and understanding what our needs are can be improved and opening up the conversation for certain topics like, "How did you feel the wedding went?" "Are there areas of improvement on my side?" "What would you suggest to meet your vision and how can I make that happen for you?" These are the questions I wanted to hear more from our wedding planner. Also, if you plan your wedding at The Doyle with Starry Eyed Events, please do not have your family and loved ones stay at The Grand Hotel as most of our guests were complaining it was too loud and they were unable to sleep and they did not end up having everyone on the same floor.
