We had to push off later than scheduled due to the holiday crowds so they gifted us extra time for the inconvenience. Saw lots of manatees! Caitlyn and Emily our tour guides were great, it was just the two of us on the tour which was awesome. Very relaxing and saw a bunch of manatees. We believe we saw one that was pregnant. Just an enjoyable tour with some wonderful tour guides that went at a very leisurely pace to really enjoy the wildlife and the surroundings. Also thanks Caitlyn for the recommendations on other hikes, we ended up doing the mounds trail and homossassa state park. Thanks again for a great experience and we will be back to do another tour. Highly recommend this group for any kayaking/snorkeling, etc tours.

STAY AWAY! GO FURTHER DOWN THE ROAD!…read more We rented a kayak last Wednesday. After the gentleman told my husband that particular kayak had dumped out another couple, we should have rethought what we were doing and driven down the road to the much nicer kayak rental facility. But we didn't know about the other place at the time, and we thought the other couple must have been new to kayaking. Well, WE turned out to be neophytes. The kayak we were given was very narrow and unstable. That kayak was meant for speed, not for people who wanted to leisurely paddle along. Instead, we spent our time trying to remain upright. Then came the speed boat with the idiot who was thoughtless of everyone else on, or in (meaning the manatees) the river. He flew by much too fast and the boat's wske was too high and violent. Yep. We partially dumped over. My husband in back fell completely out of the kayak, which stopped it from completely flipping over. I was soaked but somehow managed to stay seated. We took care of ourselves. However, we were soaked and the day wasn't warm, so we headed back. I was furious at the gentleman who rented us that kayak when he knew its history. Whoever bought that kayak for their business made a serious mistake. We should have been made whole or at least received a partial refund. But nothing was offered - my husband is too kind. I am not, and gave them a piece of my mind. There is a bsr and restaurant out front, snd I guess the shacks are the "cabins" for rent. PLEASE do yourself a favor and keep on driving by. I will say the employees I met inside the bar when I used the restroom were nice, but that's not enough to recommend a place. STAY AWAY! GO FURTHER DOWN THE ROAD.

Very disappointing experience at Three Sisters Springs. During our Florida vacation we visited…read moreseven parks from Fort De Soto up to this area and had great experiences everywhere else. When we arrived, the parking attendant directed us to park across the street and said we could pay at the gate or the visitor center. When we returned to the gate it was closed and the attendant had stepped away with a sign saying to wait or go to the visitor center, so we assumed we could pay there. When we reached the buildings we were aggressively approached by a volunteer named Cyndi Stone who immediately accused us of breaking federal laws and sneaking in. We tried to explain the misunderstanding but she was not interested in listening. The interaction was embarrassing and unnecessarily confrontational. We were clearly tourists unfamiliar with the setup and would have happily paid the fee if approached respectfully. Instead, the situation ruined the visit and we chose to leave. On the way out a different person at the gate apologized, which we appreciated, but clearer instructions and a more respectful approach would make a big difference for visitors.

Come here!…read more Late November to early March these wonderous creature come to the warmer inlets of the gulf and like to habg out here at the 3 sister's spring, where the water is 72°F year round, and crystal clear. The grounds of the spring head are nicely kept, and contain a nicely informative walk. Come see the floaty potatoes!

They provided us with wet suits & snorkels for swimming in the slightly cool river. The boat took us to a several different places on Crystal River to provide us whit as many opportunities as possible to see the manatees. The captain of the boat was ever so careful to turn off the engine when we were near any manatees. He was a wealth of knowledge and taught us so much about these wonderful creatures.
