Parking is definitely a problem. There's a tiny lot and way more cars. Be sure not to create your own spot because you will be ticketed. We saw many unoccupied cars get tickets for parking in an illegal spot. The lighthouse and surrounding areas are beautiful. The lighthouse provides for such a stunning back drop. It's closeness to the water, allowed us to find secret spots to relax in close to the water. We also saw seals playing in the water. They definitely drew a crowd, along with photographers but it was such a sweet experience. The beach sand was soft and the water was gorgeous. read more

Nice place but be careful as there were many ticks climbing over the towel. What was supposed to be peaceful time looking at the sea became a time to watch all over for ticks looking like small crabs. There is a billboard mentioning the presence of white sharks! read more

It is such a gorgeous beach. It's sad to see how much has been the victim of erosion ... the lighthouse and bathrooms had to be moved back. Nevertheless, it's a wonderful beach (water is cold!) but definitely worth visiting ... over and over. read more

We had a great time visiting after exploring the lighthouses. It was a bit of a challenge for our disabled family member to walked the path down to and up from the beach. Lots of seals and waves. No sharks but it's possible they haven't migrated yet. The water felt like a rock tumbler to the youngest one, but he enjoyed watching the older kids play. Did you know that little lighthouse on your Cape Cod Chips is from a real life lighthouse and you can go see it? The Cape Cod Chips factory is less than 30 min from it. It is small and adorable. You can walk right on up to it and take a picture if you want. There is a small "trail" nearby. The beach is clean, pristine, and handicapped accessible. read more

Limited parking due to construction. We went on a weekday afternoon so there wasn't many people. We brought our dog. The walk down to the beach has a lot of shrubs and our dog picked up a few ticks we spotted once we got settled on our blanket. Nauset Light Beach was a wonderful way to finish our day trip. It was off season so parking was free and the lot was nearly empty. We parked closer to the entrance/exit and walked to check out Nauset lighthouse. There is a photo spot on the way provided by Cape Cod National Seashore with the lighthouse in the background. Nauset lighthouse tour is only available on certain days and I wish I had known before coming here because it looks like tomorrow 10/27 1-4pm will be the last tour of 2019. There is a free cell phone tour available for the lighthouse and the beach (see photo). After reading about the history of Nauset lighthouse, we returned to the beach parking lot. The beach is doggy friendly and we saw at least 5 dogs during our brief visit. It was windy and cold so we did not go down to the beach. There is a picnic area with many picnic tables on the way down to the beach. There was a great white shark warning. Public restrooms were available. read more

What an adorable little beach and lighthouse! We came in late September and entry was free, and the area was not crowded at all. We loved taking pics of the lighthouse with the cape cod chip bag and reading about the telegram cable. Beach itself was a typical cape beach and very lovely! read more

Gorgeous. Clean. A bit of an odd parking lot where they permit you to park in their crosswalks. Cheaper than city beaches at $20/day. Definitely recommend a National Parks pass. $80 lifetime pass for 62 and older. Good throughout the USA and the 5 Cape Cod National Seashore beaches. Restrooms were well maintained. If you enjoy walking on a long stretch of beach this is a great option particularly at low tide. Lots and lots of seal activity swimming very close to shore. Excellent rock hunting!! read more

I am not one for sitting on the beach in the blistering sun but I do like to go to smell the ocean and feel the wind on my face. I also love lighthouses. This is a great location for all of those things.... in the off season. I noticed the sign at the toll booth stating that the fee was $20. We were there just one week before the season opened so it was free. All that means to me is that the bathrooms were closed. Certainly not a deal killer. There were only a handful of other cars there. I could see how that parking lot fills up quickly. While you are still in the parking lot, be sure to walk toward the lighthouse to read about "The Long Black Cable". The Nauset Lighthouse was moved in the 1990's due to coastal erosion. Thank you to the preservation society for saving this historic landmark. read more

If you've had Cape Cod potato chips, you've seen the Nauset Light. It's the Nauset Light that adorns the Cape Cod chips made in Hyannis. The Nauset Light is iconic. It's had to continually move inward due to constant erosion (they've had to move the bathrooms) The Nauset Light stands sentinel over a constantly shifting shore. The views of the Atlantic are spectacular. It's a relaxing spot, tho the parking lot can be chaotic even in the fall. We had to circle a couple of times to get a space. We are in the Cape for a long weekend and have been several times in the past. We have never been to this beach, but so glad we came this time! Our first stop of the day was Head of the Meadow in Truro. To be honest, we really disliked it there. We got eaten a ton by the sand flies there. Since we had a National Seashore pass for the day we decided to end at Nauset Light Beach and were not disappointed!! It was beautiful! Huge waves, saw a few seals and no sand flies! One of the best ocean side beaches on Cape Cod. The waves were going off this past weekend and there were plenty of surfers to take advantage of the great conditions. While there is a bathroom near the parking lot, there is no concession stand to be found. I forgot to bring a bottle of water and hence had to cut my time short. on account of thirst. read more

Gorgeous views sandy beach but there are big rocks so be careful that you don't step on one cuz they are super sharp. The rocks are big and roll with the tide so water shoes would have been great had I remembered to bring them. The water is cold and the waves are big so it is easy to get pulled in. It was nice to stretch out and not have people right on top of us. There is a $15 fee to get in but many walk or bike in for free. Some park down the street at the high school and then bike or walk but it is a bit of a ways if you are carrying either a lot of stuff or a heavy cooler. We got there mid day so we had to wait for a parking spot. We thought about dropping off our stuff and parking down street but the line went by fairly quickly since the early visitors were leaving. There are bathrooms on site but no vending so bring your food and drink. This is near the bike path and we have biked there before and I would do it again. Check the websites to make sure the beach is open. We saw signs driving thru about Marconi beach being closed so the day before. Not sure if it was a shark siting or something else. read more

RE: TOURS. You can go inside but only on certain days, about once a week. It's a very specific seasonal schedule. I made the mistake of not doing my research. If you want to be extra cute, grab a baggie of Cape Cod chips and hold 'em up. It's 15 dollars to park in the lot (for the beach) so if you are there just to take pictures of the lighthouse, I'd recommend just pulling off to the side really quick. This beach is decent with ample parking. We visited in the evening so there wasn't an entrance fee. The view was quite nice and the restroom was clean. This beach was also relatively quiet when we visited as there weren't too many people. The main thing that I dislike about this particular beach were the tiny flies that swarm and bite as one descended down the stairs from the upper levels. We actually visited this beach a second time but at night (around 10PM). It was amazing to see so many stars in the sky and the sound of the waves at night was quite relaxing. read more

Another awesome beach on Cape Cod National Seashore. This may sound a bit odd, but I found it really cool that the eroding shore line is so visible here. As of October 2017, crews have started demolition of the existing bath house and washroom - to move it further back from the eroding shore line. The steps down to the beach are also eroding. It's something that gets talked about all the time, so I really enjoy seeing it first hand. read more

I stopped by while in the area. I recommend going toward the end of the day when parking is free. Check the website for tour hours for the lighthouse as they aren't open for long periods of time and the line can get long. The lighthouse tour was brief but the guides were knowledgeable and nice. You can't go to the top where the light is, but you get a nice peek at least. read more

BEAUTIFUL Beach and Lighthouse! I would highly recommend biking to both. We biked from Brewster to the Beach, dug our toesies in the sand, hopped in the water, saw a family of Seals then biked to the Lighthouse. After seeing the lighthouse, don't forget to go up the block to see the 3 Sisters Lighthouses, so cute! I'm so glad they saved all these lighthouses from being dismantled. read more

On a cool and gray Sunday in June, we arrived in the late morning. Lucky for us, one in the car had a National Park pass that got our car in for free, avoiding the $15 fee. We would have paid anyway, since the fee includes parking, access to the facilities (outdoor showers, bathrooms), newly built steep stairs down to the beach, and lifeguards. The parking lot was about 2/3rds full. We started by crossing the street to read about Nauset Light and to walk to the 3 sisters (smaller no-longer-functioning lighthouses, moved from nearby for preservation and educational purposes). It's a short walk with a good sidewalk and some decent plaques giving the history. Back at the beach, the sand and water are what I'd expect of any Atlantic beach. The lifeguards were friendly, happy to let my toddler push their red life preservers back upright in the sand. Most of the people were concentrated in the 100 or so yards on either side of the stairs. I was impressed by the number of families who'd lugged multiple kids with toys and chairs and coolers down the stairs. There were a few surfers and a few people fishing, though I didn't see anything being caught. There were some seals in the area, so I'd expect fish, but they warn that the seals bring sharks. The views are great, both from the shore and from the cliff above. Definitely worth a visit while you're on the Cape. read more

Absolutely beautiful. This is the beach we tend to go to when it's not too hot outside, and it's a good day for just laying on the beach with a good book. The shoreline can get pretty rocky, so I don't really swim that often when I'm at Nauset Light, but I really love going there just to hang out and enjoy the beach. Whenever my mom and I go we make it a pretty low maintenance trip - just some pretzels and sodas or water and a couple of chairs. I also love going to Nauset Light at night because of the lighthouse. And since Coast Guard and Nauset Light are on the same side of the shore, you can walk from one beach to another for a little exercise along the water. The lot was full when we arrived in August but the guard said if we waited a few minutes we could get in as people were leaving which was in fact true. We waited a total of 5 minutes. $15 parking. The beach is huge, definitely busy but you can get a nice spot to spread out. It was rocky in certain areas but if you walk around there are plenty of areas with just sand. This is my favorite ocean-side beach on the Cape. The sand is beautiful, the waves are decent and there's hardly any seaweed. If you set up close to the stairs it can get a little crowded, but there's a big stretch of beach, so if you walk down a ways you can usually find a decent spot. The bathhouse is pretty standard, not really clean, but usable. The lighthouse is gorgeous as well. Make sure you get there early or the parking lot will be full! read more

$20 was a bit steep for entry (especially in the afternoon) but, once you're in, it's nice here. We walked about a mile down the beach to see a dead whale (which was super cool). It was neat to see people surfing and we also saw a lot of seals pop their heads up to check us out as we made our way across the sand. The lighthouse is neat to walk to as well. Overall, it's a fun spot and the whale was worth the 20 bucks all day long. read more

Beautiful beach I haven't been back here since I was a child. My husband and I took our dog in the off-season so he could dig in the sand and run around. We all had a great time, and we even saw some seals pop their heads out of the water. We will definitely go back. read more

We scouted out all of the beaches in the Cape Cod National Seashore (hint: if you visit after 5:00 the parking is free) and came back to this one. We enjoyed the 4 nearby lighthouses (the "3 Sisters" are a short distance back from the one at the beach) as well as the pounding waves and dramatic landscape. We saw some seals or sea lions out swimming also. The beach is well maintained and clean, and a lifeguard is on duty until 5:00. FYI there is a longish gravel path to get to the beach so wear shoes until you get down to the sand. read more
