Yesterday I made an appointment for today at 1330 hours. I was given outstanding service from the Navy Police Officer, the Gate Sentry Officer and the ID Officer. They all were polite and treated me with upmost respect. I was seen on time. No waiting. I had to show two forms of ID. I showed my CA DL and VA ID and was issued a new Military ID instantly. I highly recommend anyone authorized a Military ID and needing a new one to make an appointment and go to Norco Det at 1999 Fourth Street, Bldg 502. Just enter , go straight thru the double doors and sign in at pass and ID immediately to the left and then on the right. You will receive outstanding service. I was in and out in 15 minutes. Thank you Navy!

The base also has an ITT for discount ticket purchases to movies, events and area amusement parks. All tickets must be pre-ordered by email and pickup is usually on Thurs the same week. Other than that, the only other facility on base is the Navy Credit Union and an ATM... sorry, there is NO Exchange, Commissary, Clinic, Shoppette, class-six, gym, etc. on base and the RV storage lot is now closed...minus a star! However, the grounds look very nice for running. Also if you have an assigned GOV, you can gain permission to park it on base if you live near here. For BX or Commissary, the closest is at March Air National Guard base in Moreno Valley Ca, about 25 miles. NWSC is open 24 hours but the gate is closed after hours; however, you can call the number posted on the gate for after-hour access. Again, access is for military-affiliated personnel only.

There was only one employee at the counter. They were short staffed. The line was moving slowly and the people were pissed. The blame was not for the one employee working his ass off. He was set up for failure. I hope management would not make that regular practice. I imagine it may be though based on the poor rating this post office received. Lastly, it's hot in there. Fix the situation with the a/c. Back to the reason I was there. Passports. Melody was a godsend. She went above and beyond to help my family. She is the reason for the 5 star review. Animal Control Officer Sandoval remembered my frantic call from Texas late Thursday night when on Friday morning a call came in from a resident of Norco called in with a sighting of a white husky by Hwy 15. Looking through the reviews, the same complaints keep coming up: * Long waits -- Why not make an appointment? With one, the wait is usually minimal. * Being told they need additional documents -- A quick check of the DMV website beforehand clearly lists what's required. * Failing the driving test -- If you failed, there's a good chance you made a mistake. Personally, I'm glad those drivers aren't out on the road until they can pass. So a genuine thank you to the driving examiners for keeping standards high. As for my own visit: I stopped in simply to grab a form. The security guard directed me to the woman overseeing the written tests. Even after dealing with someone who was loudly complaining about failing multiple times that day and blaming her, she remained calm, kind, and helpful. I told her what I needed, she handed me the form, and I was on my way. Mission accomplished in minutes. Great experience. The staff here does a tough job under constant scrutiny, and they deserve more credit than they get.

My daughter had an appointment today at 2:40 PM for her California permit test. She is 16 years…read moreold. We brought her passport and the Certificate of Completion of Driver Education. However, at Window 7, the DMV employee told us that we also needed documents to prove our residential address, showing that my daughter and I live at the same address. Because of that, she was not allowed to take the permit test. I went back home and brought additional documents, including: Her birth certificate Her U.S. citizenship certificate / U.S. passport Her school report card, which shows both my name and her name with the same address. However, the employee at Window 7 still did not accept those documents. She said that the address proof must be a statement or account document in my daughter's own name, showing her name, date of birth, and address. We go to dmv 2 time and her So she refused... and we will never want to go there again.
