Went to "A" School in 1989, the place was pretty bad back then, but it had a great gym, decent bowling alley, the exchange was small, and it had a video arcade. Went back in 2020 and the place is garbage, poor sailors have nothing to do here. Leadership needs to take a round turn on this and make this place more sailor friendly. read more

The small NEX and Panda Express are great. My issue is with subway. The military is always looking for healthy options but subway has taken that and said we are going to charge more. If you buy a foot long chicken breast (2 pieces) sub or a salad with 2 pieces it costs more for the salad. This makes zero sense. Navy Exchange-Dam Neck Annex - Virginia Beach, Virginia

This is a tiny little exchange and based on its size and location was designed strictly for those living and working on Dam Neck. Being said, there is no reason for anyone to go out of their way to come here if they are not on Dam Neck. This place has all the basics, from uniform items and a few electronics to toiletries and beer. It's enough to keep those who live on base happy. The staff is nice and friendly which is always a huge plus. There is also a barber shop, a dry cleaner, a red box, and a NFCU ATM here. There is a small subway and panda express here as well. Between this and the liberty center and gym in the same building, it's the perfect spot for the brand new Sailor or Marine living on Dam Neck. read more

First off this isn't a hotel, it's a renovated barracks room. That wasn't the biggest issue to me. The issue was they had the heat on when it was 88 degrees outside. You can't just give me a small fan and expect to beat the heat. The staff was friendly but the overall experience was horrible. I would not recommend this hotel to others, for the price you can stay at an IHG and actually get continental breakfast. read more

Super small "NEX". They have basic essentials. There is a Subway, Panda express, and a small Sushi cart. This is basically an auto port. They have uniform items here, I honestly don't even know if you can get your uniforms done here. Its best to just get everything you need at Oceana. read more

Food selection is limited, but if you're stuck on base this is all you got. Closes too early just like the base.

I love that they have a Panda Express inside Dam Neck.... I love Chinese food specially Panda Express, the Orange Chicken is the best!

It's always nice to have a NEX near by. Although this NEX is not big in size, it offers all the basics that anyone might need, therefore you don't have to ho off-base. The staff are very friendly. read more
