BL - we need another Augusta location!! Got to this NFCU Mon at 11 to withdraw a large amount (more than ATM limit) and there were 2 tellers, 11 people in waiting area, 10 people in line & All ATMs had short lines too. Left at 1145 n there were 20 people in line, 3 sitting n ATMs still busy. I like what NFCU offers but there should be no doubt we need another location!!!!!!! read more

I visited the NFCU in Grovetown I attempted to get assistance on an issue I left after 45 minutes with no luck. The next day I went to the NFCU is Augusta waited not long and it was worth it.. I was helped by a young lady named Amya , she was able to help me with my issue and walked me through how to fix my problem. I was giving other options I didn't think about. Prompt and courteous. Even with closing approaching, and several customers, service was excellent.

Lunchtime is the busiest time of day -- we're all working Americans trying to get things done when we can. It's extremely disheartening to walk into the bank, see only two members assisting clients, watch a third return from lunch, and then another employee immediately leave for their lunch break while five customers are still waiting in line. This is unacceptable. Everyone deserves a break, but when you're in a service role, timing and customer flow matter. Management needs to reevaluate scheduling and structure to better accommodate members during peak hours. Customers shouldn't have to stand in line while staff rotations take priority over service. read more

I needed the services of a notary (treasury direct - name change.) As the only customer in the bank, after waiting for her to walk out her office to the tellers for a little chitchat, the lady's greeting as she's walking towards me in the lobby, states loudly that she may not even be able to help me. She had not asked follow up questions or looked over any of my paperwork. Never bothered to look at the instructions (my paperwork tabbed and organized,) promptly dismissed with an excuse: for me to figure ask others how to do her job, or i would need a special appointment with someone else at a different branch. You came at me with attitude and very rude. You should change jobs, clearly you don't enjoy it. read more

11/2024 my credit card was stolen and used at various stores. During that time I recently had a C-Section and experienced re-hospitalization due to postpartum pre-eclampsia. Upon finding out that my card had been stolen I immediately froze my card and then reported it stolen. I initially reported it via chat on navy federal app. I submitted my hospital records showing that wasn't able to be out and about due to recent hospitalizations. FRAUD CLAIM DENIED. I asked for a reopening of case and submitted a police report. DENIED. I asked for another reopening of the case and I was told 11/2025 that if I had new evidence it could be reopened. I submitted my main checking account transactions during those days to include my direct deposit and bills such as electric, water, gas being withdrawn (to prove it was my main account). The account also displayed transactions during the time period of which the navy federal credit card was used. It showed that I was atleast 1 hour 45 minutes in distance from where the card was being used. DENIED!.. So today I spoke with a fraud claim agent which told me they have denied the claim and exhausted all resources to reverse the charges. She said that she was told I initially said I had the card in my possession, which was a LIE. She said I initially reached out to them in February (LIES). She said because of this it was nothing they could do. I can not believe after all these years of banking with them and even paying a car loan off within a years time frame, that they would treat me with such contempt. I can never trust Navy Federal again after this incident. Knowing that they are throwing the blame back on the customer is horrific. I am the victim of fraud and of Navy Federal! read more

The slowest and least efficient NFCU anywhere. I come here on a regular basis only due to it's location. The lines often exceed thirty minutes. They typically only have two tellers for four stations and the line literally goes out the door. If you have any time at all, go to the other branch! Edit to add: I'm sure NFCU wants us to all use the app and not come in. But sometimes we have no choice but to come in. The answer is to add tellers, not to tell customers to use the app when they can't. Read the other reviews- we are all saying the same thing - two tellers at this location is not enough! read more

The absolute worst customer service. They are unsympathetic, completely rude, and quite honestly do not care if you are a member or not. They don't care about anything. They don't care if you stay or if you go. Just another greedy company there to take your money. read more

My husband has been a member at NFCU since he retired in 1999. We married in 2013, and I became a member as well. I have enjoyed my affiliation with NFCU throughout, though there are only two branches in the entire CSRA, which seems minimal with a large military base here. It really does make it very inconvenient. Recently, NFCU has adopted a policy whereas a deposit up to $2400.00 previously was immediately reflected and available in your account NOW only can have $250.00 available until the next business day. I typically deposit COMCHECKs, which by definition IS cash once the approval code is acquired. WHAT is the reason for this change? I have a very small local bank that I use as well, in addition to another national bank, yet NFCU is the ONLY one who has this policy. WHY?????? If not for having too few locations, and having the limitation on ANY deposit other than cash, I would have chosen a 5-star review! read more

Customer service is SLOW! There are 2 tellers on a Friday morning. One talks too much to guest about nothing important, the other moves like pond water. Teller ID D2849 had my ID in front of her and still mispronounced my name not once but 3 times. Why are we waiting 37 mins to deposit money? 37 minutes!!! USAA needs to start accepting cash! As a small business owner and sole proprietor, my experience with NFCU over the past 24 hrs. Has been completely horrible. On Sept 11 , I deposited a check for the amount of $1950.00. On thurs, I get an email from NFCU stating a 5 day hold has been placed on the check. On the very same day, USAA transferred the money from my customers account to NFCU. NFCU customer rep supervisors sherry, Jacki, and shannon all lied (it is recorded) stating the federal reserve placed the hold wwhen in fact it was NFCU and that it was for my protection. They are hurting me by not releasing the funds that was paid by USAA. I do not recomend this bank . read more

As an active military member, I [obviously] utilize Navy Federal for some of my banking needs. I have used them for years now, and they have always been good to me. This location is great, everyone is always friendly, it's clean, etc. The only downside is that lately, there has been a really strange scent coming from this location. When I came in a couple weeks ago, it smelled like dirty diapers, and I thought it just must have been a fluke. But, to my surprise when I went in again today, the same smell was present. I don't think that it is coming from Navy Federal per se, but maybe the place next to it. I'm not sure, but its an extremely unappealing scent! Otherwise though, I enjoy coming to this location for my banking needs. read more

The service at Navy Federal is always very quick and friendly. Someone always greets you when you come in and says goodbye when you leave. Love that personable service! I don't think their credit cards or investment options are all that great, but we like them for general checking. read more

I recently joined this bank and I am really impressed with the customer service. I have yet to receive my debit card but their hours of operation are accommodating enough that I just stop by if I need cash. Upon arrival, there is a person waiting up front to greet you and answer questions. I like this because I may not necessarily have to wait in line to talk to a teller. Although there are only four tellers available, the line moves rather quickly. If you're in search of a new credit union, I highly recommend this bank! read more

Great bank, great service--one of the few with NO service fees for a checking account. After Ft. Gordon Federal Credit Union was bought out and closed, Navy Federal was the only logical choice for military members that require great service for their banking needs. read more

Worst customer service experience I've ever had at a banking establishment. I was trying to deposit money in their ATM around 8:40am, and the branch was opening at 9am. There was a woman standing inside at the door and I asked her for help because I couldn't figure out how to select the proper transaction (this isn't my bank, I was running errands for boyfriend), and she rudely shoo'd me away, hollering through the glass "YOU CANT STAND THERE" . I'm sure my face looked very confused, I was just trying to ask for assistance. She yelled again. "I HAVE TO LET THE EMPLOYEES IN, MOVE AWAY FROM THE DOOR. YOU CANT BE THERE". I calmly answered once more, I just need help at the ATM? She scoffed and yelled, "I CANT HELP YOU. MOVE OUT OF THE WAY." Awesome service mam, to the middle-aged short-haired brunette who decided the best way to start off my morning was yelling at me through glass doors and refusing to assist a customer. Icing on the cake? I was still wearing my first responders uniform, since I had just gotten off a 25ish hour shift on the ambulance.
