Your review helps others learn about great local businesses. I had a haircut at Naya a couple of weeks ago. Friendly atmosphere, however I am not very pleased with my haircut. As I have thick and long hair, I have instructed the Brazilian guy( I can not remeber his name!) to have it cut in a particular way and to have it thin it out. I am not particularly happy with the style he chose and on top of that he has not thin my hair out at all. To make things worse, I have asked beforehands about the cost and was told it is 65 pounds. When I was issued with the bill I was asked for 75!!! Do not recommend this place. Please don't review this business if you received a freebie for writing this review, or if you're connected in any way to the owner or employees. read more

I came in for a full head colour, cut and blow dry on 21st Dec at 3pm. When I booked the appointment with the pregnant Japanese girl she told me it would cost £70 for the colour and £75 for the cut and blow dry. I accepted this and made the booking. The Italian stylist was very good except when he finished we walked over to the till so I could pay. He then charged me £140 for the colour and £75 for the cut and blow dry. When I asked him why he was charging me double for the colour he said it was because he had to use more colour on my hair. I paid and left, upset but didn't want to start an argument. This has bothered me ever since. They cannot charge a customer double the advertised price after they have done the job and with no warning. I felt ripped off and taken advantage of. They were recommended to me by my friend and I am local, needing colour every 6 weeks. I think it is very short sighted of them to treat me like that and lose my repeat custom. I have contacted the owner Daniel and am yet to hear back from him, two months after my initial contact. Poor! read more

We had a really good chat about what I wanted to have done with my colour and she really tried to understand me and give me advice on how to make it work. When explaining my idea for for my haircut, she listed intently, then looked through her phone, showed me a picture and said "Like this?" and just like that she nailed it. Amazing. She also was from Italy and many people that came in spoke Italian and it seemed nearly all the staff spoke Italian as well. It created a great European atmosphere and I just loved it. My colour BTW looks amazing and the haircut is still shining through my curls after nearly two months. Success.

I was introduced to Naya Hair over two years ago and absolutly love this salon. You get a lot more than just a wonderful haircut; the pampering in the form of drinks and the relaxing 'me time' that comes with it (hello head and shoulder massage). The stylists at this salon actually listen to you and the environment is comfortable. Daniel, the owner, is very accommodating. As soon as I sat down to wait for my appointment slot I was offered a drink and shortcake (my fave) to pass the time, while I read one of their much diverse choice of magazines. When I eventually sat down in the chair for my hair to be washed, the experience was fab, from the comfy leather chairs in the backwash, to the relaxing head massage, glass of bubbly to enjoy while my hair was chopped and the detailed explanation of the process and products. They definitly know what they're doing and all of the stylists are very senior (I've experienced most of them). I'm a firm believer in paying well for a decent haircut prices are extremely fair here. Like a good pair of shoes, you should make sure you're investing in something that's comfortable, practical and workable because there's nothing worse than leaving a salon chair with a style that hasn't got a hope in hell of lasting more than 48hrs. I've tried most of the well known high street salons but Naya hair is truely one of those hidden gems. 5 WORTHY stars! read more

Had my hair done at Naya and I am so pleased with the result. I saw a stylist named Roy, for highlights, followed by a cut & blowdry. My stylist took the time to talk to me and really understand what I wanted & what was achievable. Result: the highlights are very close to the root, which most hairdressers never do. Also being blonde, I didn't want the colour to look yellow, as I'm sure you blondes out there understand! I left with a beautiful ash blonde colour and an easy to manage cut! I must say that I have had a best hair cut by Italian guy. He listened to me very carefully what I wanted. He also gave me a idea of which shampoo to use and how to style my hair. Lovely salon and really great team at Naya. Had my Japanese straightening by Hiromasa and I must say the experience has been great so far, did recommend few friends of mine and everyone seems really happy. My hair looks great and did last over 4 months so far with nice and straight hair. A bit pricey but after saying that you get what you pay for. I will definetly back. Yummi read more

I love this place my hairdresser cuts my hair normally when it is really in need of a radical overhaul and always gives me a cracking new look (I have very unexciting hair so it is a bit of a challenge!). It isn't pretentious also happily chopped whilst I had my baby on my knee. read more
