I don't even want to give one star- the "tax service " is soooo bad! I bought the "insurance " for 2017 and 2018 in case I needed help with anything related to IRS- we'll I had a question about a form I got from IRS and call NBS ( in March). And even TOOK the paper over for Norman to look at- NEVER GOT ANY CALL BACK-!!! I called multiple times asking for help-- NO RESPONSE! I finally asked for my money back for the insurance- secretary said "that's up to mr spells". "He'll have to call you"!!!!! HAHAHAHA! RIGHT!!! He never called. DO NOT GO TO THIS SHYSTER! I submitted my tax documents on 2/26/21 through a secure link and Nelson has not emailed me back with progress on my taxes. I circled around and submitted an email 3/13/21 (two weeks after submission) asking if there's anything supplemental needed on my end and left my phone number. I called the office the next week and the receptionist stated that it usually takes 72 hours response time. I'm very frustrated with the lack of professionalism and do not feel safe knowing my tax documents are submitted with a company that will not answer your emails nor give you any updates for a month. Nelson is the owner and he has been covering our tax responsibilities since 2004. Go there with confidence. Note: Everybody is trying to pay less in taxes, but you should not skimp on your tax preparation. If you itemize, then come. Did our yearly visit to Nelson for my parents 2017 taxes. Always a pleasure working with Nelson because he takes the time to to explain every single detail to my parents and answers every single question. My parents are immigrants and English isn't their first language, so most times there can be a communication barrier. We were 10 minutes late to our 2:30pm appointment and Monica helped with front desk duties. I understand we were late, but don't be rude and abrasive about it. We can all be solutions oriented here. Worst tax experience ever. The original tax lady we always go to unfortunately got sick and some how NBS got chosen to do her clienteles taxes. First off when we called to make an appointment they did not disclose to us that she was sick and would not be returning to her business. We showed up and there is Nelson asking us if we still wanted to do our taxes and that he does not know how long our tax lady would be gone for but that she does want to return. I Could not help but to also take a look around and notice that all her decorations and pictures where being put in boxes and moved out which tells me that she was not coming back. We decided to do our taxes since we were already there. My fiance forgot out mortgage tax supplemental info so we paid he said just to email the info and he would get the taxes submitted. We emailed the info I tried to call to confirm that they received the info and after a few tries and a few days they final called back unable to locate the email. They gave us another email to send it to so we sent it right away. I tried again to call and confirm and the same thing after a few call I finally left a frustrated message and received a call back after a few days. They said the taxes were submitted but did not leave an details as to when or explanation as to why they were done sooooo much later. It has been about 5 weeks since they said they were submitted and we have not seen the money deposited in the bank account yet. I have been calling and leaving messages the past 2 weeks and have not received a call back from them yet. My whole family use to go to this tax lady before she got sick and unfortunately passed away ironically we didnt find out about it until after tax season. He knew all along that she was not "wanting to come back" as to the severity of her illness he lied just to keep her clientele. Bait and switch with this guy. Poor service and communication and just a flat out lair. Dont waste your time or money. read more

Without a doubt the most incompetent tax "professional?????" I have ever encountered. While charging us $1000.00 to do 3 simple returns, he stated he would have to write a letter on one account to verify an inconsistency with a submission to the FTB. 5 months later the letter had still not been written and he refused to take phone calls stating "he was with a client". Finally I went to his office and he stated that he hadn't gotten around to writing the letter and didn't know when he would. He then tried to physically intimidate and stated "your mama is a ----. Where that came from, I have no idea. This guy is a joke who claims to be a professional. Anyone who does business with this individual needs to personally carefully check their returns and submissions for accuracy. He has recently closed his Diamond Bar office and appears to be wanting to capitalize on the excellent name of Wheeler Tax Service. There is no comparison with the quality, professionalism, integrity, knowledge or client relations between the 2 offices. FIND ANOTHER TAX SERVICE as Wheeler tax service would never let this guy in the door. read more
