Cinsidering this is so clost relatively to Mitchell st I'm not sure why this one charges 1/3 less per hour. This car park is slightly easier to negotiate as its more modern. However having parked their the night Radiohead played Glasgow Green, I found out just how unsafe it actually is. When we came back after the concert to get the car, the fire alarm had been tripped however we didn't know that as the audible alarm outside at the back entrance wasn't working. The doors weren't automatically opened like you think they would be if the fire alarm had tripped and none of the warning lights were flashing. Only when we got up onto the floor where we'd parked (next to entrance for the casino) did we hear the alarm. There were no staff about. Surely a member of staff should have been stationed at each entrance? or their systems checked regularly to see if they were working proerly. After a lot of hassle, we finally found out from the fire brigade what was going on and we were allowed to collect our car. They were quite surprised we were able to get into the car park normally and that there were no audible alarms at the rear entrance.
Also there are no signs except at the very front entrance to this car park where the machines to pay are. At the time of writing this there were only 2, one on the ground floor and one on the second floor, except the one on the second floor was out of order and there were no signs saying where else to pay!!!!! Can't say I was impressed. read more
