Called AllState for towing around 1:50am, and was assigned Nearby Towing. I was given an initial ETA of 1hr - 1.5hrs (pictured). Then at 1:55am they sent that text and the time was updated from 1-1.5hrs to 15 minutes. (pictured) Then about 20 minutes later at 2:15am, I get an update text saying that they are still on the way (pictured). Throughout the entirety of waiting, the ETA changed several times. Once the ETA started to come near, an extra 5-10 minutes would then be added to the ETA, extending the time longer. I thought that was weird but decided to wait anyways. At 2:25am (10 minutes later), I get an update saying that the tow has been completed even though I was still waiting for it. Essentially had me waiting on the side of the road at 2am for nearly 30 minutes just to cancel last-minute. Terrible. read more

Nearby towing was assigned to me by my insurance company, USAA on 11/5/2022. ETA for Nearby Towing to arrive was 90 - 120 minutes. I called Nearby Towing two hours later as it was the end of the window and they said the driver was dropping off a call and was going to be another 45 minutes to get to me and if I wanted to continue to wait. I told them that I had no other choice and agreed that I would wait. The next thing I know, they cancel the pickup. I called my insurance company and they said that I requested the cancellation which is a complete lie. I tried calling Nearby Towing and it went straight to voicemail. They are a terrible towing company and left me stranded that day. I filed a complaint with USAA and hopefully they will drop them as a provider. I would NEVER voluntarily call this towing company.
