I was looking for the perfect Christmas stocking for my youngest granddaughter. I found this shop online and called to see if they had any and Barbara replied that she had quite a few. As a long time needlepointer, I was absolutely thrilled to see all the Persian wool on the wall in their little cubbies! Persian wool is what was always used in decades past but hasn't been readily available for decades! Barbara, the owner was a delight and she stayed past closing time pulling just the right color threads for my granddaughter's stocking. I plan to go back right away and look at all the other beautiful hand painted canvases and buy some more projects!! She uses the best artists available for her pieces and they are all treasures waiting for someone to bring them to life! read more

The owner of the shop was very rude to my husband and I. We asked her if she had any cross stitch supplies and she was shocked that we would even ask such a question and said "No cross stitch, only needlepoint. It's on the SIGN!" So, we won't be going back. read more

I have visited twice in one week when I was in Highlands on business last fall. I will be back this week and look forward to visiting again. Barbara was kind and helpful last visit. I am an experienced stitcher, if not an expert, and the joy of visiting stores away from home is learning how (mostly) women around the country approach needlepoint. (I only wrote this in response to the other review currently up.) I personally found the owner Barbara to be delightful. As a novice, she pointed me to the best things to start off trying. She made conversation and was very pleasant. She's owned this shop for decades and has the luxury of closing it when she needs (so the store hours can vary, which I realized the last time I tried to come here, at which time it was closed).
