At the instruction of one of the hosts, we chose a bottle of wine from the shelves along the wall and took it to the bar where it was opened and glasses were poured from it for us. Not only is the wine selection very broad, but the prices are exceptional - only a little more than you'd pay if you were buying the wine directly from a supermarket! To pair with the excellent wine, we chose from the menu of simple tapas (ham, bread, olives, cheese, etc.). This year we do not have visitors but we had a great time at our front row table of 5. We sat with a lovely Turkish/Kurdish couple and a sweet young woman from Kviv Ukraine! All strangers when we sat down but left feeling like once again, we have new friends. All over the magic of FLAMENCO! * Tonight we were treated to the amazing Flamenco dancers, Irene de la Rosa & Rosa Sanz (we have seen each perform in different venues in Valencia), the stunning voices of Javier Calderón & María Briones and wow, Manuel Reyes on his magical guitar! Can you believe they perform four nights a week. Thursdays through Sunday. I think we can all say that Flamenco should be woven into our fitness routines! To be able to move and sing like this, the passion is so intense. Absolutely LOVE IT! * And the staff at the door and serving are so friendly and kind. We had so much fun picking out special Christmas treats from a tray of goodies being passed around.
