I have been overwhelmingly blessed to be a volunteer with Neighborly Senior Care Network. I have volunteered with Meals on Wheels the majority of my life in other locations and I can truly say that I have never volunteered for an organization that puts the needs of the seniors in our community as a top priority as much as Neighborly. The impact you make can be seen and felt immediately upon starting your volunteerism. I've enjoyed it so much I have brought in my mom and husband and many friends on board and they are loving it too! The individualized care and consideration that goes into each client is top notch and as a volunteer you will be abundantly personally fulfilled by the time spent with the clients. The entire team is wonderful to work with and you are openly and consistently shown appreciation for the time you give as volunteer. The work simply cannot be done without our volunteers! NSCN is an organization that is vital to Pinellas County, and without the services they provide, thousands of seniors and other affected individuals would be hungry, without transportation, and lonely. For these reasons I volunteer in their Meals on Wheels Program, delivering much-needed food to our clients. These are nutritious meals, providing much-needed sustenance. And, in many cases the other volunteers and I represent the only human contact clients have each day. It's very gratifying work and I wouldn't have it any other way. read more

After retiring I looked for a volunteer opportunity. I feel fortunate to have found Neighborly Senior Care Network and the many volunteer options that they offer. I like that Meals on Wheels is something rewarding that my husband and I can do together. We deliver nutritious meals to seniors in Pinellas county. Since I may be the only contact that day for some people, a smile and a kind word goes a long way for these appreciative people. This is the opportunity that works best for us. I don't know much about this agency. All I can say is one of their drivers driving the bus hit my car and there was a lot of damage. When I called the administration, they said they would take care of it. Never heard from them. Well, when my insurance company got involved, this company denied any wrong doing and said it was my fault. My insurance company stated that this organization was very unhelpful. read more

All the people we've dealt with there are very nice and professional. They made it easy for Mother to start getting Meals on Wheels by setting us up with all the contacts and doing most of the work for us. And so far the process has been virtually flawless. I can't speak to either of the other two reviews; Mike (Mom's delivery guy) goes above and beyond the call. read more

Would not recommend at all. The Staff, and especially the Human Resource Manager; Mona Norindr has a very bad attitude, and are very Rude and Unprofessional when treating Clients / Customers. Never plan to use them again. read more
