I did my undergrads in Irvine and now I am working in Irvine too so I have been long spoiled with Nektar. I love Nektar!! I had a phase where I would eat their acai bowls for dinner at least once a week. I was quite excited when Nektar opened in Upland back in September... however this specific location was beyond disappointing. The girl who took my order was as unfriendly as unhelpful as it gets. I was casually asking her for a recommendation because I wanted to buy one of the juice bottles in the fridge to save for after my work out. She replied with a snotty attitude and said, "I haven't tried any." Wow... you should really know the product that you're selling. A smart answer would have been, "X and Y is a popular choice amongst many of our customers." Or something like that... So I was like nevermind w that juice... and I ordered a small Chocolate Dream Smoothie ($4.95/16oz). THIS DRINK TOOK FOREVER!! The place wasn't even busy and somehow they took forever making my smoothie... AND the guy in line behind me who ordered a large of the SAME THING got his order before I did. What tha heck?!?! I basically had it with this place... The parking is horrible and I love overpaying for juices but I refuse to deal with incompetent customer service. I loved this smoothie and am not surprised in anyway that this is one of the most popular drinks. -Tropical Cooler: If you're looking for a green drink then tropical cooler. This isn't a very sweet smoothie. Very grassy type of drink. Also very refreshing. -Pink Flamingo: Pineapple fans, this is your drink. I was surprised that there was only one person in line ahead of me when I went in this morning, but it made sense when I found out that they had just opened their doors only two hours before I stepped foot inside. So obviously the place was pristenely clean. The ambience is nice, with a small seating area and pleasant staff. I really like that the menu isn't too big, it can get annoying to have to choose from a bajillion things. Quality over quantity is the way to go. Anyways, I got the acai banana berry bowl which was yum and also looked as good as it tasted. I tried my wife's sublime juice, which was really good too. I was craving an acai bowl and stopped by Nekter on the way home from work. Nekter Juice Bar is located within The Colonies Crossroads shopping plaza in Upland by Campus Avenue and 19th Street. They are located in "Zone C" which is by the Nordstrom Rack, Toys R' Us and in between The Habit Burger Grill and Which Wich (opening soon). Upon entering, there's a narrow aisle on the left hand side where customers can form a line to order and they have seating on the right. They offer a few snacks and bottled drinks. Their menu lists juice, smoothies, and acai bowls. I ordered the Banana Berry acai bowl at $6.95. (the price already included the tax). The first thing I did was taste the acai by itself first. It wasn't that sweet, but once you eat it with the granola mixture and fruit, it was absolute perfection. In contrast, the acai bowls at Robek's are way too sweet. The one negative I have to point out was that they didn't blend my acai long enough. There was a large frozen piece in the middle. Other than that, I like the fact they are pretty close to my house and I don't have to go to Bowl of Heaven in La Verne the next time I have an acai bowl craving. I have been going to this nekter for over five years. This past year Nekter has been on a decline with customer service and sanitation. The most frequent problem is no one is in the front to help customers and all of the chairs are on top of the tables. Now recently they have a B rating for health inspection. If You haven't tried this place you're missing out they have the best Açaí bowls! This is our go to every Saturday morning. Not sure if they had a new associate make our Acai bowls this morning but not the same taste. Very disappointed with our order of 3 bowls. Not to mention the portion of topping literally 1/2 a strawberry and 1/3 of a banana and missing a couple of toppings. Please do a better job on training your associates. I've been coming to this Nekter location for awhile, that I wanted to review them. Upon entering, I was welcomed and acknowledged. I was undecided to drink between the Toxic Flush & The Greenie. So then, the store manager, Jose was very gracious, very cool & knowledgeable to talk to. He took the time to explain to me the health benefits of both drinks. That right there, says a lot about him and the vibe he gives out at his store. I ordered my Açaí Banana Berry Bowl (My Favorite) and the Toxic Flush. They both come out great and was very pleased. My overall experience was awesome and with Jose answering my questions, made my morning. I'll definitely come back and continue to be a loyal customer. I love Nekter juices but what I love even more is the skoop! Skoop is Nekter's version of a healthy, no artificial ingredients, natural, gluten free, dairy free ice cream! They only have two skoop flavors so I naturally tried both of them. While the vanilla was pretty good, it is all about the chocolate! It's naturally sweetened with honey and cocoa. It was a bit on the pricier side as far as ice cream goes but for $5 it is well worth the price of knowing exactly what's in your food! The store itself is great. It's clean, well organized and staffed with excellent and friendly juicers! One of the best parts is the ample seating. Other stores in the area rely on the outdoor seating next to the Habit but luckily Neker has plenty of indoor seating of its own. The location of this Netker is great! It's located in the Colonies off Campus Ave in Upland. There is easy access from the freeway and to other parts of Upland as well. There is plenty of parking as well. read more

When I came in the chairs were still on the tables at 12 in the afternoon and again the girls attitudes were as if people were bothering them by ordering drinks and making them work. This Nekter rules! It's conveniently located by the freeway, the drinks are always made in reasonable amount of time, and the customer service provided. When it comes to the quality drinks--berry banana burst/ginger shot/ etc--its always consistent. Sometimes there's a slice of banana at the bottom (but its ok...because you know... you can just open the lid and eat it...lol). Ultimately it's a smoothie/juice that I can make at home, but it saves me time and from washing dishes, especially when on the way to work. Also, shoutout to all the people here that make effort to remember names and drinks! It helps start my day off nicely. I really love this place. The staff is really helpful and know their stuff. When I was sick they suggested a ginger shot and it actually did help a lot! I asked one time what would be a good after workout drink and they said the health nut would be great because of the protein. They even told me I could add spinach and kale and extra protein! Of course I did and it actually tasted good still! The menu can be a bit intimidating but if you ask the staff they will help you find something good.
