Not the least bit helpful. We are active duty military & are consolidating all our vehicle information. We arrived needing to change our current registration to PA and was immediately told we could not do so without have proof of PA insurance. I explained to them that we are are active duty military and that we don't currently reside in PA (because of the military) but we have proof on insurance. Our insurance is equal to and/or greater than PA requirement. The employee simply said this is the law, you have to have PA insurance and sent us on our way. One quick call to PENNDOT confirmed that the insurance we have is completely acceptable and confirmed we can in fact register our vehicle as long as our current insurance provider has the capability to insure PA drivers (which they are). It's very frustrating when people don't even try to help. This employee was only interested in doing the absolute bare minimum (but not even) and doesn't know the actually rules providing top notch inconvenience of service. This place is a disaster!! Do not go here if you can avoid it, there are plenty of other tag dealers in the area. I made the mistake of coming here and boy do I regret it. People are miserable and not helpful at all. They don't give you your registration tight then and there you have to wait 3 months. They will not answer the phone when you call. The lady took the phone off the hook because I kept trying to call. You have to waste your time and go in person which is super frustrating. The hours on their "website" have not been updated for years so you don't even know when they are open. Total disaster of a business! read more

Went there with my son who was trying to transfer his car info from NY to PA, the lady at the desk was very rude the moment we walked in, we heard a loud sigh come from her as we walked in and she mumbled "can I help you?" While giving us a glare. We explained the situation and she demanded papers instead of hearing what we had to say. She told us to go to the DMV right next to them to sort out our registration, we went next store to the DMV and the guy told us we had to go back to the auto tags next to them to sort it out, we went back and she gave us the same "can I help you?" attitude she did before, and we said "you told us to go next door" she said "you're a NY driver right?" "Go to a DMV in NY and come back to me once you have it sorted out there" so we went and got it sorted out there, we came back to the same loud sigh and attitude. Demanded paper work again and had a nice, loud conversation with a co worker about Christmas decorations and they were screaming curse words at each other right in front of us! Never again will I go back to these stuck up, rude women!! read more

WORST experience ever. I moved from nj to pa and I needed to switch my car and truck over. I went to the pendot place next to Nelsons to do my license and then to Nelsons to do my registration and I also needed to transfer a title for the truck that I had just purchased. I was there SEVEN separate times. They told me that the pendot rules were that I needed a social security card and birth certificate for proof of ID and that they could only take cash or money order. It cost me over 200 to register my car. Then they told me to transfer the title over it would be acceptable to take a picture of the vin number of the vehicle. I was 9 months pregnant and couldn't climb in the front of the truck to get a tracing of it which was what I was told I would need (but then she said I could take a picture). Drove back with the picture of the vin and a picture of the sticker on the inside that supposedly had the "weight" of the truck...all of a sudden she told me "oh. Nope. A picture is no longer acceptable the rules have changed". So she told me if I couldn't get a tracing then I would have to get temporary plates from New Jersey and come back. But obviously I couldn't do that either because now I already had pa insurance and information. Also because the title had a pen mark on it I needed a "new one". So I got into my car and cried because it was literally my seventh time there. I went home and my brother actually helped me find a different auto tag place right on New Falls Road which was not only closer to my house but they were super nice, gave me NO problems and did all my stuff immediately....I didn't need a social security card or a birth certificate or a tracing of the vin number or any of this other crap this woman was making me run back and forth like an asshole to get. Clearly this woman doesn't know what she's doing and just wanted to give me a hard time. I just can't believe it. I've NEVER experienced anything so ridiculous in my LIFE. read more

Clearly they don't know their own policies or state laws, and they are very inconsistent in their application of rules and regulations. In my opinion, the only reason they are still in business is because of their prime real estate location right next to a DMV, not because of their customer service. read more
