Waste of time. I stopped by three times and was unable to get serviced. The first time I stopped by they were closed, and it was during business hours. The second time I stopped by the person behind the counter told me to come back in an hour because the person who does the smog test wasn't there. I stop by an hour after (and for the third time) and was told they are unable to do my smog check because they are not star certified, however their website says they are star certified. It was annoying dealing with them. I wish they would have told me they couldn't do the smog check because they are not star certified since they did look at my paperwork before telling me to come back in an hour. read more

My car being a "gross polluter" by California standards, I was limited to going to Test Only smog stations. Nene's was in the general area and decided to give it a shot. This place isn't busy, and I like it that way. I was in and out in about 30 minutes, with results and instructions on how to repair the problems that my car had. Went to try and get a smog test done today and I guess this place is no longer Nene's test only and didn't honor the coupon. Also wasn't able to smog test my car because the car is to "new" they can only smog cars in the 90's. Wish someone would of told me that when I called earlier. read more

Best shop. Best people. Best service. Best knowledge. Best price. They saved me thousands. They saved my car from the scraper by actually reading and understanding the laws they are enforcing. Other places I've been to were not following procedures correctly which could result in unnecessary failures...unnecessary fixes.... unnecessary harm to vehicle components.... and unnecessary decommissioning of vehicles. But not here! They know what they are doing. And take pride in their work. Also, I really enjoyed meeting and chatting with the guys there...just like old friends....really down earth and chill, . You can tell they know more than the average Joe and they actually care about what they are doing. I commended them on their knowledge and they shrugged it off with a line like "...if you're going to do something, might as well do it right". I professed my love to them right there and then. Back story: This was the only place in town familiar with the government documentation regarding: "Aftermarket catalytic converters installed before January 1, 2009". Literally every place I went to did not know about this...and said my car would not pass......they were all wrong....unbelievable. These other smog places cost me numerous days/weeks/months and almost cost me my car and my job and thousands upon thousands. I was getting lies and misinformation from every other smog check place I went to. But I didn't know the laws so I accepted the misinformation. But... it all just seemed fishy to me. It didn't make logical sense. So I did extensive research and read all the documentation provided to smog check station. I learned all about how a test should be completed on different cars....and I found out that everyplace I went to was completely wrong......in many ways. But not Nene's.....they knew the laws...and saved my car! Also, other places were redlining my car for long periods of time.... at idle with no airflow. This was harmful to many components...but I thought it was the norm. Now after reading the smog check procedural documentation, I know that is NOT how the test should be done on a Diesel! read more

My minivan, Chrysler Town and Country 2007 with 108 thousands miles on it, was a difficult case for the 2019 smog test. I had to make a bunch of repairs and then the van's computer had to be reset to get ready for the test. I must have stopped by Nene's smog shop more than 6 times since May! The technician at the shop was always patient and helpful. He really worked with me and helped me to pass the test. I would give the highest recommendation to this smog test station. Parking area is a bit tight and sometime there are cars waiting to be tested. But given all the help I received, I would gladly come back to this shop! read more
