It was a bit confusing at first, and I actually ended up going the wrong way. But it became a happy accident because I discovered the Hörnli Express, which was a long gondola ride that I could use to go on a long blue run #5 going down. It became my favorite run to practice snowboarding on. I like how there are a lot of chair lift and gondola options for T-bar adverse users like me. There are also several snow parks and good sledding options. I also saw a lot of hikers on the mountain. So fun for all!

The lifts operate smoothly with minimal interruption, and they're fast enough that the line never takes too long. Plenty of restaurants up on the slopes too. Cons: Quite expensive. Pretty sure this is one of the most expensive ski passes you can buy in Switzerland, especially considering the fact that these slopes don't really connect to anything else. I know my brother has managed to get to another area with a professional guide, going through a lot of off-slope areas, but the Arosa area is definitely not as well-connected as other ski resorts. in the region.

It's a wonderful place to take a break from skiing and enjoy the spectacular views from 7710 feet / 2350 meters. If you have a love of graphic design, sports and skis, it's definitely a lot of fun to see all of the different Kästle ski designs on display with brightly colored logos and illustrations. There's also a very cool racing motorbike. Over 100 years ago in 1924, Anton Kästle Sr. created this ski brand in Austria. The first Kästle skis on display are made of wood and were named the Arlberg Ski for this region. In the 1950s the brand name Kästle was used for all the skis. The Kästle Mountain Museum was recently redesigned to mark the 100th anniversary of the company. The museum is open daily from 9:00 am to 4:00pm, during the normal operating hours of the Rüfikopfbahn.

Although the Albula & Bernina lines are the most well known of the RhB, there are other scenic routes I recommend exploring like the Chur-Arosa line or the Engadine route from Saint Moritz over to Scoul. A highlight of traveling with the RhB is dining in one of the Gourmino restaurant cars which travel on either the Albula line or the Glacier Express route.
