DO NOT GO HERE FOR ACRYLICS! like other reviews mention, they don't use the typical acrylic powder, liquid, and brush. they use some sort of glue, dip your finger in the powder, and ash it off -- leaving you with a lumpy nail that is VERY thick. when I told him it didn't look right multiple times, he insisted that he'd try to fix it but that my natural nail was the problem. that was very off-putting and clearly a red flag. after asking for tapered square, I left with a duck shape that I had to file myself when I got home. and if things couldn't get worse, I asked multiple times whether they could do the designs in the picture I showed them. the woman who paints told me she could, but during the process I noticed how different and disappointing her creation was. I asked her to just go back and do a solid color and she became visibly annoyed and handed me back off to the man. while holding back tears, I ended up paying $135 (also got a gel pedicure) before a half priced tip ($15). these were supposed to be my birthday nails and the man who put the acrylics on knew that because it was also his birthday. the nails began chipping the very next day and because the paint wasn't close to the cuticle, they have now grown out within 10 days. I have never had such a bad nail experience and the worst part is speaking up for myself got me absolutely nowhere! read more

Last week, I went to Neo Day Spa for the first time. I like how clean and neat the shop looks. I had a pedicure. The pedicure was nice. The gentleman who performed my pedicure was a nice and quiet man. I don't understand why he did not exfoliate off dead skin on the bottom of my feet. I had to go home and do it myself. read more

This salon is fantastic. And very clean! It's a great, calm environment. The team of aestheticians are skilled, kind, and upbeat. There is a good vibe here. I have been to Neo twice: once, before my sister's wedding; another time, just for fun. Both times, Neo exhibited remarkable professionalism, speed and care. Both times, I walked away wildly pleased with the color and treatment of my nails. My sisters, who had gotten their nails done elsewhere, ended up coming to Neo for a polish change, and were seriously pleased (as they should be). I am sad I don't live anywhere near here, but I plan to stop in every time I am at home visiting my parents. Wonderfully convenient to Stop & Shop, Dunkin Donuts, TJ Maxx, and Granby center: shop after a break with a fresh, new manicure to make you feel like a million bucks. I go to Neo's regularly and have done since they opened. Eric and the others do a great job (a regular french manicure will last a week) and the shoulder massage while your nails dry is a great bonus. Salon is clean and well managed, I am seen promptly and my nails look great. read more

I received a gift card from here that I decided to use towards an acrylic set. The total came to 47$ which I think is really outrageous. Most nail salons I have been to prior usually don't charge more than 30. To top off the ridiculous pricing, I had three of my nails break before I even had them on for a week. I had two break within three days and went back to get them fixed. I was then charged 10$ for that. For being so expensive I would think that they would be more durable. I've gone there over the past few years and there isn't enough to be said about these caring people. I am disabled and have a hard time getting around. They are gentle in helping me get in/out of the chair for the pedicure. They don't make me feel uncomfortable because I'm not one of the beautiful people. Like some of the other salons in the area have made me feel. They do a great job and it lasts over three weeks at a time. For the manicure I love getting the Shellac nail polish because it lasts longer. My nails always look beautiful. They are competitively priced and do an excellent job. This was my first (and last) experience at Neo. I just moved to the area and have been going to another nail salon for a while now and wanted something closer. I needed a quick fill and had to go to work. $47 later (not including the tip) I left with awful nails. I made an appointment and they took me right away. For something that usually takes my salon 40 minutes... I was at Neo for 1 hour and 40 minutes. My nails came out lumpy, the nail polish is blotchy, sloppy, uneven, one nail isn't even shiny (looks like there's lipstick on it), and there are spots on my nails that the polish was almost dry, yet he painted over it and now I can actually see my nail. My 7 year old sister could have done a better job. Literally. Besides that, my nails are different sizes and filed down so they look lopsided. To top it off (no pun intended) they didn't even fill my nails, they just filed down what was on my nail!!! If I didn't have to go to work (and if I wanted to sit in the chair for another hour) I would have had them fix it. I have NEVER been so unhappy with a mani in my life and will spend half the money and half the time at my usual place. I would like to add that the salon was clean, people were pleasant... But still not worth the money and time. I wish I could add a picture to show everyone how awful my nails look... This review does not give it justice. read more
