I had asked for a hybrid or road bike, but ended up getting a huge clunker (think the citibikes in NYC, Santander Bikes in London, or VeliBike in Paris). All bikes come with a bike rack and some bikes have panniers. The bike also has a built in lock for the back wheel. Bikes are relatively heavy, but held up well on the cobblestones and branches that we went over. Wheels and everything seemed true and no issues with the bikes what so ever, although I was scared if I got a flat during the ride that it would be a long day (luckily didn't happen). Overall very friendly people working the store and bikes were good. Would recommend. CHEAPEST BIKE RENTAL IN BRUGE EVEN WITH COUPON!!!

They have a pretty good array of craft brewing methods and if you don't know of them the staff helps you get acquainted. Great presentation and great quality of the coffees. Also got a warm, crunchy/soft on the inside croissant. The music playing is oddly ominous in contrast to the typical Starbucks Jazz. The ambience is also very unique, having bikes hanging in the window for purchase. The floor to ceiling windows make for a great view along the canal. Sandwiches are in the €5.00 range with drinker (even beer!) for like another €2.00. Thank god there is a cheap eats place that is good in this part of the world. The power of walking the Messines Ridge area where the largest non-nuclear explosion of all time happened in 1917 is not to be missed. There are two unexploded mines in the area. Stay on the path, and walk gingerly. One mine exploded in 1955, killing a cow. How crazy is that?!? Tons of ordinance, both live and spent, are dug out of the Flanders battlefields even now, more than 98 years later. Bring a snack as the lunch we had was pretty blah, even for free. Oh, and bathrooms are not readily available on this eight hour excursion. Finish your coffee early on tour day. This is an absolute DON'T MISS for anyone with ANZAC leanings.
