The Ashtonbee campus is the perfect venue for a ribfest. The parking lot is huge such that it hosted a bunch of food trucks and four vendors specializing in barbeque goodness. This campus is pretty. It used to be where the headquarters of Volkswagen Canada used to be. I used to pass by the old Ashtonbee campus a lot when I was practising my driving as a teenager. There was a driver's testing location on Warden, just south of Eglinton Avenue East. My dad and I felt that practising down here would make me feel comfortable and familiar with the roads, and all that practising helped! It's pretty. I love the architecture. It was pleasing to my eyes. This campus is home to automotive, some liberal arts and pre-health, and a handful of community and health studies programs. Ashtonbee campus is Centennial College's oldest property. Neat! For some reason, I feel at home dropping by campuses. Even though I was here for food, it felt good being on this campus for a brief time. (310)

She is very knowledgeable and cares a great deal about her students. The lectures however were slightly dry because of the teaching materials the teacher was given. She tries to enrich the material by showing youtube videos that relates to the topic. Only critism I have about the teacher is she needs improvement in the English language and lecturing skills. There is a lot of "um" and "uh" in every sentence which makes it very difficult to focus on the point at times. The course is a very fast paced course and there are topics covered that there should be more time for. This course should not be taken if you don't actually have industry experience. Another reason this school would not be recommended is because of Management. They are unprofessional and hard to deal with. First of all, students do not know which management person is in charge of what duties unless it becomes necessary. Second, the Scarborough campus houses 2 different school however the policies are different for very small things like obtaining a student ID. Examples of unprofessionalism: Moving furniture during class hours loudly disturbing the classes that are running.

I am a student there, I just finished the G3 course, and the experience was great. If you ask, why it was great, is the people there. Dale Fairbairn, my teacher there was no less than Amazing!!! He takes the time to go through every detail with you until you fully understand the issue - Thank you Mr. Fairbairn. Mr. Fairbairn has been in the gas business for many years and he is a Licensed G1. I have taken classes on both campuses, and while St. George is a gathering for prepsters and nerds, Scarborough is home to tiny Asian hall dancers and the young. I mean really young. I'm certain I am pretty much a dinosaur in comparison to these kids. I say kids because they are so loud, and dressed in something I'm sure could be found on the closet floor of my 16 year old mother. I've realized two things about attending university at this campus in this city. One I highly enjoy the anonymity of the large on line classroom. Scarborough offers several of their highest grossing classes as on line available. Meaning that one can watch the lectures anytime, and that you need not be subjected to the aforementioned youth and all the irritants that surround them. It also means that the procrastinator inside can be fulfilled and I can still ace all my courses. Number two, I can try to fit in here, but I'm white, and old comparatively speaking. So I'm fashionable as an almost cougar and someone you think you can ask directions from. In fact I'm certain my prof yesterday was markedly younger than me. Oh well, thank goodness I'm mostly over trying to be cool:). As far as amenities go, the gym facilities are pretty shoddy though they will be redoing them shortly. Food options are few and have pretty poor hours, but there are two Timmy's, one open late. Highlight of my most recent trip to Scarberia, the ghetto Asian dance troupe practise taking place in the hallway near floor length windows. I say ghetto, because that is what they call themselves, because in all honesty they are sporting more brand names than a Macy's superstore. Bottom line...don't transfer here, this is a full fledged business and they deny deny deny all the credits they can. As business and psychology faculties go though they are top rated.

They told "approximate fee" and they wanted me to pay a deposit ( 2.650 $) without knowing the total 1-year fee. They just want to have money, money, money!!! Students have a right to learn the exact final tuition fee before they register. They said that they would let me know until 22nd June 2020 but still there is no information. I sent an e-mail 3 times after 22nd June, they never answered my mail. Moreover After the pandemic, the Centennial college has just started to demand the whole tuition fee only from the international students until 6th July 2020 while they were taking the fee semester by semester before the pandemic. They are not asking the whole fee from the domestic students. Centennial does not be equal for all students in terms of the payment schedule. The epidemic has already affected to all international students. However, Centennial still does not inform students about Fall fees? My suggestion is please be careful while you want to go to Centennial College. You should think more than twice if you don't want to go to a school which sees you only as money and doesn't respect your rights.

The Covid vaccine clinic hosted by North York General Hospital (NYGH) at the Newnham Campus was very well run. There is plenty of free parking out front and the gate keeper informs all patients to wait in the car until 15 minutes prior to appointment for sign in. There are 2 more security guards that confirm you are there for the vaccine and time reserved. Sign in is very fast, provide your health card and drivers licence and within 5 minutes of walk in, you are at the main gym that has the doctors providing the injection. They ask a few questions to ensure you have no underlying health issues before they administer the shot. You are then asked to wait 15 minutes to ensure no adverse reaction before you sign out with another friendly crew that confirms your health card, email and phone number for your digital confirmation and 2nd shot date/ time. The crew here is very friendly and professional. Looking forward to the next call up in 4 months time.

I received a notice more than a year later from OSAP stating that a grant that was given to me is going to turn into a loan. I didn't understand how this could happen since I returned all of the money I was given. I contacted Seneca financial aid office and the person Biju told me they had returned all of the money to OSAP as well and I need to contact NSLSC directly. So I did but was told that Seneca kept a portion of the money. I am now trying to contact Seneca again regarding this issue but they are ignoring my emails. My advice, avoid this school. I've taken courses from multiple schools and this was the most trouble I've ever experienced.
