This is obviously a grocery store for the military families and only military personnel could pay. I came to get some snacks for a road trip and came across the Ritter Sport chocolates. I've not had one of these before and chose a couple that appealed to me. There were a variety of different chocolate flavors to choose from. You can get a freshly made sandwich super cheap too. All the meat is frozen so if looks fresh, it's not. It will tell you not to refreeze. You can get some pretty good deals. Baby back ribs for around $5 for a double rack...not bad. Make sure you watch prices...not for sale items but just the regular price. Since they sell at 10% over cost the price goes up and down with each shipment. Also, pay attention in the produce section. Some things that you are used to paying "each" for is charged by the pound. Lettuce, for example, is typically $0.75 PER HEAD but here it is PER LBS. Lettuce is pretty heavy when you aren't paying attention.

This store is rather large. Larger than the grocery stores back at home. Maybe the newest Krogers Grocery Store on Mall Blvd in Savannah Ga may match it in size. Maybe not! Lots of walking for sure. It's quite an experience shopping for food in Germany. So not like the states. It definitely will be a greater appreciation for many many things when we get back to the states. A quart of milk is .36-.46 cents here. Cheese is .79-1.99 here. Bread is .85-2.00 here. Juice is .55-1.50 here. Fruit is very cheap. Meat is very cheap. Water is not sold by the gallon here. It's like a liter-1.5 liter I believe .19 cent and up a bottle. Or you buy the case, plus .25 cent for recycle. Once you recycle it back to the store you'll receive. 25 cent for each bottle you bring back. It goes through a recycling machine in a hole that you put it in. It goes down a conveyer belt into this room and drops down into a box. The counter on the machine adds .25 cent each time you feed it a bottle. When you're finished then you get a ticket with money. You give it to the cashier when she or he rings up your grocery total and you receive the ticket total as a discount against your grocery bill. I'll do a video soon. The parking lot usually has spaces available, unless you happen to be there at lunch on a busy work day (in which case you wait in line to enter the lot as other customers leave). After you purchase your groceries, hand the cashier your parking ticket and they will validate your ticket for you. Assuming you've spent less than an hour in the lot, you won't need to pay for parking. Rather than trying to buy groceries on an empty stomach, you can buy a cup of tea or coffee and a snack from the bakery and eat it at pleasant tables in front of the windows before you shop. Denn's positions the fruit and vegetables front and center as you enter the store, which helps me to get the staples I came for rather than less healthy snacks. The fruit and veg are of high quality and the store offers a good selection. You can get wild rice and red rice and almond butter and kale chips and Lavera cosmetics. There's also a great cheese counter. And did I mention the bakery?

So if you're American and want to make Seafood Gumbo and need crab in the shell, they have it. Tiny baby crabs. I didn't look further for regular size crabs. Only reason I got these because we needed to spend a total of 10€ on card. I'll take a picture. I only need it for flavor purposes anyway. Check this market out. It's in Bobligen. They need to change the name they have registered on yelp. This name isn't the same as it's identified as on the building.

Even Saturday 1pm for a 10 min shopping stop they charge you. I cannot recommend such a market, since they obviously do not want to have customers.
