Dreadful organization. I waited four weeks for an appointment. It was for today, Monday, at 3:30. I got an email Friday afternoon asking me to fill out pdf's and get them back so that I can actually attend my appointment. I don't have a printer at home and there's no way I can get these forms printed off, filled out, and back to them in such a short period of time. They would not work with me at all and so I would have to wait three weeks again for an appointment. How hard is it, when there's a four week wait, to send forms out a week prior to the appointment?? Only a bad administrator would send them the day before. What kind of health care provider sends out PDFs the afternoon of the business day before the appointment?? Appalling service, grossly inadequate. I will find someone else. Glad I found out now how bad they are. read more

I was referred to NV Behavioral Health to help resolve trauma in my life. But I couldn't get past their scheduler, Rachel. She was always too busy with "meetings and emergencies" (her words) and insisted on communicating ONLY via text, even after I asked her to call. No doubt a Millennial. read more

They are corrupt, they work together with Nevada disability and you will get played. I was referred to a Psychotherapist and was attacked by my therapist before our session even started. After being diagnosed with everything under the sun they dropped me cold. Horrible place for people to be treated it will only worsen your mental health. read more

The only star in this review is for front staff but all the rest were zapped out by the very unprofessional service of Patrick Apilado. Patrick has not returned any of my calls over two weeks nor any of the messages from his staff. I do not recommend any office that would hire a "professional" that was not thoroughly vetted. read more

I turned back and did not go in because staff at the front desk did not have mask on. When I complained hurriedly they put their mask on. It seem this business doesn't not care for the health of its patients. This is the location on Maryland Parkway! read more

If I could give this office zero stars it would still be too generous. The assistant by the name of Derrick can't even read an insurance coverage card accurately. Derrek became argumentative. I was already an established patient so I don't understand why this is happening. So when Derrick made inappropriate comments about my coverage. Derrick refused to listen to reasoning and so I got turned away from my appt. I even tried to show Derrick that office had been billing my insurance for 2 years and I had no co-payment. Derrick being a smartass said, "I must've gotten a lot of free care." I'm appalled and left in worse shape than I went there for. Two hours later I got a call from Derrick saying there was an error, and first it was the medical assistants fault and then turned the table and said the billing issue was my fault. The bottom line, I was right and Derrick was unapologetic for the treatment I received. I will not return as a patient. read more

For multiple NBH locations - I am only a week in and I already want to quit this place. Take a trip to NBH on Maryland Parkway after waiting HOURS upon HOURS at Desert Pkwy (great facility & staff btw). Come to find out the reason I was waiting so long is because these NBH people couldn't get a mobile assessor out to do an assessment. So I go to NBH to cut out the middle man. They inform me that the provider was getting ready to start group and wouldn't have time to see me. Ok cool, I get it I just showed up out of nowhere but I was desperate. So the lady behind the desk (beautiful eye lashes and braces) I forgot her name but she was amazing in finding me a next day appointment. Gave me the intake ppwk, and told me to have it filled out by the appt the next day. He seemed annoyed and didn't really listen to anything I had to say. Proceeded to tell me that there's no detox for what I needed it for. So I'm detoxing from (2) separate substances. He then referred me to the 3 hour group sessions on Tuesday, weds & Thurs saying if I miss even 1 session I get the boot. Ok fair enough. So that already didn't make me feel the warm and fuzzies. I was then referred to the location on Jones for immediate psych care/meds. I show up during the walk in hours only to be met with a very rude lady behind the counter (not her normal position) who was actually working out of the office to the right of the front desk and she was so unbelievably rude when I walked in and asked for the intake ppwk to be put on the waiting list. She shoved the clipboard in my face and said "there's no waiting list. Here fill this out" and walked away. I filled out yet more ppwk, handed it to another person behind the counter (a nicer more patient lady) and waited. The psych tech came and got me from the lobby and he was awesome. African American guy who played football in the south and was in the military (sorry I forgot his name as I had seen SO many different people that day). Then after my chat with him (he actually listened to what I had to say) he proceeded to take me next door to the provider Patrick. He seemed to listen to me at first and gave me what I needed to get through the withdrawals then told me to come see him 3 days later so he could check on my progress. Awesome ok I thought things were looking up, yeah not so much. I showed up at the "support center" on Washington and Rory the front desk lady that day was absolutely AMAZING. She has the patient of a saint and I felt really welcomed there and was just astounded at the level of customer service care she had given each and every patient. Patrick was supposed to prescribe me the rest of the withdrawal meds, a antidepressant and something to help with my energy level during the day. Well, low and behold I called my pharmacy and asked if anything had come in for me and they said no. I do know he was having issues with the internet at the support center so I figured maybe it was just delayed. Nothing ever showed up at my pharmacy for me. I called today and talked to the unbelievably rude lady that I came into contact with the first day at the Jones location and from the start she had an attitude, she told me she would talk to him when he got back from lunch. Ok no worries everyone deserves a lunch break to decompress and not think about work. Absolutely! I work without a lunch break almost daily and it sucks. But he was due back at 1 pm. I had to call them back at 3 on again the same mean lady and she said she would talk to him again and get him to send it before he leaves. Ok called them back again at 459 to make sure it was sent before I called the pharmacy raising hell. And without even asking my name mean lady said "he said he sent it." How do you even know who I am? I just now received notification it was sent after another voicemail left after hours. You have to stay on top of everyone to make sure they do what they're supposed to and I hope you got a thick skin because majority of the staff are rude and rush people through. Good thing my SO was paying attention because I would've been lost without him. read more

Wouldn't recommend. Currently undergoing diagnosis for ASD which the psychiatric nurse Genevie Kneir had minimal knowledge of. After talking for 30/40 min, she prescribed Seroquel for insomnia. Seroquel is an antipsychotic drug for treating schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Though it can be off-label prescribed for insomnia and anxiety, it is not recommended to do so by knowledgeable Psychiatrists, given the severity of the side effects. When I told my Psychologist I was prescribed this drug for my occasional insomnia, she was very alarmed. She advised me to not take the medication & to find another psychiatrist. read more

Me and my girlfriend are homeless. She has a disability and I am her caretaker. For a year-and-a-half she was told if she went to counseling once a week they could help her get a place under section 8. Now they're saying she must go everyday. We stay in central Vegas in the place they want her to go is like an hour and a half bus right away. We might be homeless but we have a storage unit gym memberships and other expenses. It's like they just used her for her insurance money for a year-and-a-half. I study community behavioral health in college and things like this a why I decided not to work in the field and sleep on the street. Thanks nbh you're awesome! read more

I went there 5 years ago for the first time and I was homeless addicted to both heroin and meth. I didn't take it seriously for the first couple years. then one day I was upset and feeling suicidal I was leaving and one of the staff there saw how upset I was and took me right away to see a therapist. I told them I was fine and I just wanted to leave. I was walking through the parking lot and one of the staff stopped me and I told him I've lost my kids I'm homeless and I just give up. He took me to a sober living house that works with NBH and they get your insurance to pay for it. within a month I had a full time job and 3 months later i was enrolled in school. Now I have moved from Vegas and am in my kids lives I am on the deans list at school where I'm going to be a substance abuse counselor which I was encouraged by Miss Casey who is the person who runs the program she always is there to take time for anyone who needs her advice, also by Mr. James who watched me go from getting high everyday and not caring to changing my whole life around and yes they expect a lot out of some of us because they believe in us. The whole staff There is Rob who I got a 7 day kick out for missing my medication count being wrong cause I'm prescribed Xanax and once a week they counted my meds to make sure I didn't abuse them and i thought i could be sneaky and I made a bad choice. It was also July so it was hot but Rob meet me outside gave me a bunch of bottled water and some snacks. He was another person who believed in me and pushed me to enroll in school. There is Janine who is a case worker who when I has having a tooth pulled on her day off she picked me up from the dentist and drove me home cause they put me under and I couldn't find a ride. People say a lot of things about the staff and yea they are following there orders but they do care about everyone there. I almost forgot one other who has the best groups his name is Wayne i was on a contract where everyday I had to talk to him about my life what was going on and he cared and he gave me great advice so many times if not for him and Mr. James I probably would still be in vegas and have no contact with my kids those to told me not what i wanted to hear but what i needed to hear never sugar coated anything. So in closing going to NBH at 2500 W Washington saved my life and has helped mold me to be the man I am today because i went 8 years not caring and now im happy sober and a productive member of society so I wanna thank them for everything they did for me. read more

This place is located at 3035 Maryland parkway. First, let me say I'd been trying to get into this place since JULY 25th of 2018. I left a message, every two or three weeks or so for months, never receiving a call back, until I finally just gave up. So needless to say, I already had my doubts about their competency, and I sure was spot on with my concerns. Don't go here unless you want to be attacked, ganged up on, and want your mental health crisis to be exacerbated to an insurmountable level. They poke and poke at you until you naturally become very upset and then point and go 'see! Look how unreasonable she is!'... trust me when I say there's a reason these people work at a state facility. They could never run a private practice; no one would pay for that shoddy level of care. They'd have no patients--they'd kill themselves the second they walked out of their door. What is it with this week? This is my second run in with a hideous witch..this one even more hideous than the last. She DEFINITELY hates her life. I'm surprised she's made it to fifty or sixty- however old this haggard liar is. I could vomit just picturing her. She also had a staggering odor emitting from her way: maybe she had a gassy lunch or missed a shower or seven; either way, make sure to keep your nose plugged if you do get stuck seeing her. In Latin I believe it's puteo, in layman's- PEE-YEW! read more

This is for 2500 W Washington: The staff for some reason is obsessed with you attending groups as if that is the only therapeutic (if it even is) part of being there. So if you miss too many ACCORDING to their messed up computer system they will put you on a behavior contract and kick you out for 7 days for non compliance even though one of the staff made it loud and clear if you attend after hours they will overlook it because "We know you have lives outside of NBH and are looking for a job and so on", well that was my case and the staff wouldn't hear it no matter how obvious I made it I was compliant, their computer wrong and the hardships of being a homeless insomniac. It doesn't matter if you've been robbed or what, they'll just arbitrarily kick you, even if you're about to get a bus pass through them as I needed to and to get my disability income back FOUR YEARS LATER of Hellish efforts trying without NBH or any other services to assist me, nope, they will not hear your "excuses" it's just kick you out just cuz you didn't go even though we said we'd not care if it's after group hours. Hypocritical, nonsensical, cold, anti-therapuetic. One of the staff even got my appointment wrong WHEN I SHOWED UP FOR IT and I got blamed for it anyways! And today I tried to see that same therapist again and asked to be reminded AGAIN, but nope, kicked out for 7 days. Absolute nonsense, counter productive, there's no excuse for such treatment, I do not care for their excuses, like "we we're trained for this not you", trained for what, to miss my schedules when I finally get to do so?! I even slept over nearby in the freezing cold to attend their therapies, including one by a staff who caused me to pass out by insisting I get up out of a lounge chair, knowing I was severely ill and fatigued and had been repeatedly been to the hospital to hear FOR THE SECOND TIME their community rules (you'll have to hear them twice I day if you get a morning ride and stay till 11:30 PM) or get booted for the day, and even though obviously it is not necessary to get out of any chair to hear a thing. And he pretended he could not see me, and none of the staff cared when I told them what he did. Now if he is oblivious, why is he working there? In fact he demonstrated obliviousness in group when ignoring next to me a guy not participating and assuming I wasn't till I showed him I was! Weird! Annoying! NOT therapeutic at all! One of the therapists I refuse to see now would not change my groups so I would be complaint and when she was supposed to, instantly refused when I politely asked, and I get blamed for it by the staff! I also heard one of the staff was having sex with a client and got fired, wow, but we homeless are the bad guys and expected to be 100% observant at all times without excuse, ever vigilant, but not staff... disgusting. Now I am stuck without a bus ticket and have to wonder if my property where I hid it is going to get stolen again and waiting for another devastating loss. Did I mention they will AND HAVE done to me, throw out your property regardless of what it is, even if clearly needed to survive or won't even examine it before trashing it to see if it needs to be trashed? Nope, doesn't matter if it is a cart, clean blankets, a book needed to get a job, NOTHING, will trash it after they close. Wow. Thanks for making it 100% harder for me to care for my pets at the homeless outdoor-shelter I am stuck dealing with NBH, great therapy, you sure are helping me to not pick up a cig again or turn to drugs or whatever, not. Oh, the place is often near over capacity, has poor bathroom ventilation if any, two of three stalls in the men's bathroom have no lock, or if it's four then three have no lock, the showers are near cold all the time, it does not get what one would think of as warm at all, it's a gross feeling and insulting. There's two laundries and unless you come early don't expect to come out with clothing washed or dry. Also do not expect staff to observe what property you accidentally left behind when they put you through an annoying metal detector every time you leave and want to come in, I ended up with stuff immediately stolen when for the millionth time put my stuff on the desk to pass through. Accidentally leave your phone on the desk, don't expect it to still be there when you realize it. It's a place filled with people with compulsion and anger problems, theft one of them. I've lost over $100 in property due to going to that place, only the bus tickets which are a pain to get and sometimes decent food sort of made up for the loss, I truly did not learn a thing from any of the groups I attended except wrong info occasionally. Their policy should be that just staying there and not getting in trouble or seeing a therapist once a week or psych. should be enough, not group attendance and when a smallish room has 20 or 30 people already inside, doors closed with no ventilation. One girl always smells of pee. read more

Hmmm, I wonder why there are so many 1 stars here, because it sucks. Horrible experience, uncaring therapist with god complex's. Don't return phone calls, system down 2 weeks later after speaking to a human. On and on and on. Finally got an appointment with BRAD. Unsympathetic and arrogant. Doesn't want to listen to what the patient wants. Only what he thinks. So thanks guys keep up the good work!! read more

My husband had a 9:50am follow up appointment on Tuesday 12/19/2017, at their Maryland office, 3035 S Maryland Pkwy Ste. 110, Las Vegas, NV 89109 we arrived at 9:45am, this was our 2'nd appt. We checked in as usual and took a seat waiting to be called. At 10:40 I went up to the desk to ask why he had not been called yet and was told the doctor was running behind and it shouldn't be much longer. At 10:50 an hour past our scheduled appt, my husband was like forget this and went to the desk and told the girl working to just cancel the appt. The girl was like your next, but gave no time frame, While the other girl chimed in and said " she told him he was running behind. My husband was getting upset at this point and said " yeah only after he came up and asked ", not really helping the situation any. During this time of word exchange, The doctor "Patrick" had come out and was looking at what looked like the schedule. Instead of trying to defuse the situation by saying "I'm sorry for the long delay" or anything at all, He said nothing. On our first appt. we waited for an hour and a-half, I figured first appt with all the new patient paper work, even tho we showed up 30 mins early, I thought to myself, ok maybe just takes a bit longer. While we were cancelling and getting ready to walk out, the girl tries to say " well he had a new patient which takes 20 mins, We had waited an hour past our appt time. I called the insurance company to tell them not to pay for this visit as we did not get any services. I was told that it wasn't my call and they would have to pay for any services billed. We paid our $10 deductible, Which we did not get back. So this place is going to get paid full pop for a visit that never took place. If you ask me, this is why our medical insurance is so costly. At the end of the day, when we the public, make an appt with a doctors office of any type, If they don't keep the appt time, we should be able to bill them for our time. Remember, If you miss an appt, they charge you. In closing, We will not be returning to this doctors office ever again. We will either find another provider or go without. read more
