Nikki in the Benevolence department and this church have been misleading, unclear, and inflexible in their communication--honestly, Nikki and rhe Director has been inappropriate to say the least. After qualifying me for assistance it appears as though they collected all of my personal information only to ultimately to scam me and then tell me they couldn't help, after stringing me along throughout the process for 3 weeks! Nikki and the director just hung up on me when I asked for clarification. Because of this, I've decided to post this review and file a police report on them. read more

Since Covid-19 pandemic, I continue to receive God's word online rather than attending worship services in-person. I discovered New Birth Missionary Baptist Church via Roland S. Martin who broadcasted worship services on his YouTube page. Though I am not an active member of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, I would love to follow worship services from time to time which works with my daily schedule. And what a luxury it is being able to view worship services and hear sermons wherever I may be or during any time of the day. I could not help but tune in and listen as the choir of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church praised. Their music and praise made me grateful that I grew up in a Baptist church as a child. I loved how Minister Dana Tyler acknowledged those who are watching online followed by her powerful prayer giving thanks to God, Hallelujah! And oh my, I felt chills listening to the beautiful voice of Janae Denise, which nearly put me in tears. Pastor Jamal Bryant's sermon (No wonder it didn't work) centered around how in God's will that somethings are not meant to be! How clean our records would be if we had not chosen the wrong people in our lives. Lives would not be so blemished, if it were not who you chose. You picked someone who could not nourish your soul! And God was already working it out because he has a better plan for you. We as humans are not for everybody! They got the best of you when you were in your worst moment and God has broken the tie! If God is not in it, the relationship will not work because God refuses to let you be connected in illegal alignment. As he concluded, he shared that everything you have been working on is getting ready to happen because all you needed was one good person; that person that believed in you! Embrace the new individuals that God is sending into your life. Like the other mega churches I continue to follow online, I hope to someday attend New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in-person in Lithonia, GA. Pastor Jamal Bryant's word was not only enlightening but gave me that inspiration I yearn for going into the week ahead. I went to a job fair and it was horrible. First we stood outside until 9 and the email they sent said they would open at 8:30, I had to knock on the window as it started to rain and people were standing in it. They also said it would be light breakfast there and they had Bojangles in order to get a sample of the Bo berry biscuit you had to fill out an application for employment that was ghetto there were only a handful of recruiters there and as advertised there were no on site interviews at all. This was the worst job fair experience ever. They really need to organize better before advertising another event when so many people are being let go on the Federal level. My expectations were crushed at this event, it was like a punch in the gut. I left early and a friend of mine said that someone from the goodwill pulled up hiring but by that time I was gone, if the event started at 9 why was this recruiter just getting there at 10. Smh so disappointing. read more

What a great ministry. Now JAMAL BRYANT is the new Pastor and he's committed to re-growing the membership back to the size when Bishop Eddie Long was in leadership. I visited on the FIRST Sunday of Pastor Jamal's tenure and I was NOT disappointed. He brought home an effective message entitled: BITE ME!!!! My God his delivery is so effective and memorable. I love that he's so cutting edge and isn't afraid to have the tough conversations. Getting into the property to park is just a difficult as getting out. But it's great to see the saints anxious to hear a Word from the Lord. I pray the church continues to grow and I'm sure it will; the day I was there they took in better than 100 members... So AWESOME!!!! read more

It's hard to give a "bad" review of a church. I'd kinda feel like God is gonna get me. New Birth is a new-aged mega church and you feel like it as soon as you're on their grounds or "campus." They have landscaped NEW BIRTH in the hedges and ornate statues of Samson, Jesus and Daniel in the Lion's Den in their main lobby. Very fancy shmancy. The sound is awesome, and the choir is very dynamic. There was a guest preacher that Sunday, who was awesome, but lost my respect when he asked people to stand up and walk to the "altar" or pulpit area with money to give to Eddie Long for his pastor anniversary. Secondly, I really didn't understand who/what moved these people to run to the altar and throw money at the preacher. Was this a strip club or a church service? Why are we making it rain at church and THEN taking up a formal offering and THEN being beseeched by the preacher of the hour to give the pastor money? Cmon Son, really? Good preaching, but bring your dollar bills to throw at the preacher, since it seems like the thing to do here. read more

My home church for the last 18 years. I am always fed here. Whether it's Bishop Long or someone else. Of course there are the things people complain about, tithes (you pay this at all churches), attitudes, drama, etc. But guess what, that's not a NB thing. Where there are people in churches, there will be all of the above. It's about how you respond to it. That's indication of your personal spiritual growth. read more

Amazing Church. I'm not one to go to church but everytime I go I feel as thought Bishop Eddie Long is speaking directly to me! He's very uplifting and the atmosphere is just overwhelming. I actually went for Easter Sunday. I opted to go to the 5:30AM service. If you've ever been then you know parking is HORRIBLE. I was so glad we decided to go then. He had us in and out by 6:43. The message was simple, but powerful. Our steps are ordered. God has a plan for each and everyone of us and he will uphold us with his hands. Once it was over we walked outside to a parking lot full of cars stopped waiting for us to leave. THe cars were back up all the way too the freeway! That is my only complaint that parking freakin sucks. So they get 4 stars! THey congregation is very supportive and donates a lot of their time to doing community service. read more

This review is for New Birth North in West Cobb. First, I am not a member of this church so trust that this is an honest review. I attended the larger New Birth in Lathonia 5 or so years back and in my quest to find a church closer to my home in Cobb county, I stumbled upon New Birth North which is under the umbrella of the larger New Birth. My experience at New Birth North was very good. Awesome and passionate pastor and awesome praise and worship. This church is one of the churches on the top of my list for a new church home. Here is some of what I experienced and my only cons. I dropped by goddaughter and the nursery which was a bit crowded and when I picked her up, she said that she had been bored. I had a bit of a hard time finding New Birth North (because it is located in a shopping center and not you're typical church building) Don't let this be a deterent though. The worship space was nice and spacious enough to fit all the congregation and guest. The paster spoke about tithes and offering and other financial topics which is necessary and appropriate but not a good sermon for a first time visitor, I mean I don't want to leave with the impression that the church is all about money which could be carried over from the impression of the larger New Birth. Cons: Hard to find location, overpacked and "boring" nursery Pros: Passionate preacher, excellent praise and worship If you like the larger New Birth principles but hated the size and traffic you should try New Birth North. read more
