Like a breath of fresh air. I was missing Indian Street food and ended up at New Delhi Sweets and Snacks. We had Pani puri that was sweet and tangy with crispy puris- just what I wanted. Next we had dahi Puri and aloo tiki and both were fresh and delicious. My sweet lassi had perfect sweetness, not overpowering flavors. The owners- Sandy and Manny are lovely folks. They are very passionate about the food the create. Their love for their restaurant was evident. We will be back try their mains next time. Everything we tried today was fantastic. read more

Taking a break from all the reviews from our holiday I still need to post, to try to also catch up a bit on *local* reviews - in this case, we were specifically looking for the best Indian buffet for Saturday for lunch nearby. Normally I'd define "nearby" as in Long Beach, but I knew in this case, I'd want to go just *slightly* further out of the way, to Little India. Pre-covid I remembered there being a bunch, but it seems like the flock has been thinned pretty significantly in that department. That said, you only really need one, if it's got the quality and the breadth you're looking for, which they definitely did, here. Especially if it's also a good price, which at $20, it *very* much is. (Saturday and Sunday, until 3:30.) For $20 in Long Beach for a buffet, I'd start to question it, but I'd guess they get away with it mainly due to not having to pay quite Long Beach rent. We got there around 2 PM, sat down, got drinks ordered almost immediately and then went straight to the buffet - great service all around. Everything was totally fresh the whole time we were there (I absolutely had seconds, despite not necessarily actually needing any.) Great pakora, chicken curry, daal, a *goat* curry (who puts goat in a curry for $20 at a buffet? These guys!), great raita and chutney, a wonderful paneer curry (I think the first buffet I've seen a paneer dish that wasn't palak/saag paneer. I liked this curry *way* more than those.) Naan was also included, and served fresh to order - also excellent. I can't say *conclusively* that they're the best buffet in the area, not having tried any of their remaining competition - but I'd be pretty confident it was. Only thing we paid extra for, obviously, were drinks, but you can't *not* get a mango lassi. So I guess total it was a $25 buffet, because obviously you're gonna get a mango lassi. :p Well, technically I also spent another $10 on a box of gulab jamun. I was really looking forward to them hopefully having it in the buffet, as I'm used to Indian buffets serving them for dessert... they did not, sadly, but do have a by-the-pound (or fraction thereof) take-out section specifically for sweets, so I had to get a few to eat over the next couple days. I also got a "chum chum", a related sweet I'd never heard of, that they had a couple flavors of - was also pretty tasty, but gulab jamun are still the winner, and theirs are quite solid. Probably for the best the buffet didn't include them, given I'd already stuffed my face with curry, and I probably would've eaten half a dozen and felt sick. Compared to how inexpensive the buffet was, the gulab jamun felt a *little* pricey - but I'm not gonna make gulab jamun myself, and they were delicious, so I would almost certainly buy a box any time I happened to be back in this part of town. (Like because we were craving an Indian buffet again in the future. We'd almost certainly just come back here for that, too.) read more

I visited this restaurant yesterday and had such a great experience! The food was incredibly tasty, and you can tell they put a lot of effort into quality and flavor. The atmosphere was really nice--comfortable, welcoming, and perfect for enjoying a meal. I was also impressed by how fast the service was. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure everything was just right. On top of that, the restaurant was very clean, which always makes a big difference. We went to lunch and absolutely loved the variety on the menu, food, decor and service. We ordered paneer tikka roll, saag and roti and fish sizzler. All the food arrived hot and flavorful. We went for a team lunch here today for the first time. The ambience and vibe is nice, it was clean and well lit, open seating as well. We ordered a mix of veg and non veg items, pakoras were crispy and flavorful, butter chicken and paneer butter masala very tasty and had the right amount of spices. We also tried bhindi that was delicious. Garlic naans were perfection. I am from north India and the food tasted authentic which is a rare find. This place has DELICIOUS food and very kind and attentive service! We went on my birthday eve and they were so sweet and gave my mom and I a little dessert to try (gulab jamun for the first time! Yum!) at the end of our meal. The portions sizes are great - we ordered garlic naan, rice, vegetable samosas (a lil' spicy), mattar paneer and chicken tikka masala. We took enough food home to eat an additional two meals. We inquired about their take out (yes!) and buffet which has incredible reviews. We will be back!! read more

Wonderful family owned restaurant! We wanted to celebrate our 13yr wedding anniversary by eating Chaat: and we were SO pleased to have found this wonderful little place in the heart of little India: The owners Sandi & Husband were amazing hosts and not only was our food delicious and very fresh, they blessed us with a dessert gift of Ras malai (their desserts are home made!)... Recently opened in December 2025 in the Bhindi Jewelers plaza, this family-owned spot has quietly become one of the strongest meals I've had in Little India. (Plus there is guaranteed parking because they have their own lot!) The menu is extensive: halal options, vegetarian dishes, and meats ranging from chicken and shrimp to goat and lamb -- plus Indo-Chinese dishes too. Everything is made fresh to order, and you can taste it. The tandoori chicken was incredibly tender and easily my favorite from the mixed platter, followed closely by the rich, comforting butter chicken paired with soft butter naan. The chicken biryani was fragrant, the goat curry deeply flavorful, and the makki di roti with saag felt soulful and traditional. Don't skip the snacks and desserts -- the rabri is made fresh, and the gulab jamun and gajrela carrot cake were the perfect ending. They also serve falooda, kheer, kulfi, lassi, and chai. They offer weekend lunch buffet (11:30am-3:30pm) for $19.99 adults, kids under 7 eat free, and $11.99 for kids -- plus catering for birthdays and special occasions. Wow! So we were just out here in Artesia, planning to go for some chaat, and saw that they had finally opened. They're opening in place of our long time go-to chaat place here (Bombay Sweets & Snacks). So we decided to pop in and check it out. So glad we did. So they offer a full menu, not just chaat. Every single thing we tried was so good, so fresh, and was obviously made by people who care about the quality. The opening round, the Amritsari Kulcha, already knocked it out of the park. We also had the lamb biryani, chicken samosas, and samosa chaat. Everything was equally delicious and fresh. Ooh, and special mention to the Punjabi Fish Fry, which perfectly hit the spot, as my wife and I were getting nostalgic about Fish Fry recently. As good as everything else. We topped it off with Chai. Also fantastic! Surprisingly it was a bit spiced (cardamom and long/cloves) but overly so. Perfect end-cap for a great meal. The owner and staff were courteous, attentive, friendly and competent. They made the experience even better. I really hope they do well. They deserve to! read more

Tried this new place in the city of Artesia on a rainy Christmas Eve, and it was totally worth it. From the moment we walked in, the experience stood out. Customer service is a huge factor for me, and they truly delivered here. I can't recall the name of the lady who took our order, but she was genuinely sweet, attentive, and really took care of our food and order. If you like your food spicy, from mild to extra hot, just let them know and they will adjust it perfectly. What I really appreciated is that they actually check in to ask if everything tastes right and are open to listening and fixing anything if needed. That shows they truly care about getting things right. The food was full of flavor, very fresh, and well balanced. Everything we tried was tasty, and they also sell sweets that taste fresh and not overly heavy. Quality and quantity are both on point. This is a fairly new spot and definitely a must try, a solid 10 out of 10. It's quickly becoming my go to place for get togethers, with plenty of seating and a welcoming atmosphere. Absolutely loved the food here! But even more than the food, the owners truly made the experience special, they're incredibly kind and genuine people. I felt right at home from the moment I walked in. The food tastes just like authentic, home-cooked Indian meals, which is rare to find. You can really tell they put care into everything they even make their own butter and yogurt. Highly recommend if you're looking for something authentic and heartfelt. Thought we'd get a quick bite before going to pick up some fish at 99 Ranch Market and saw the New Delhi Sweets & Snacks restaurant banner and decided to give it a try. It was not lunchtime yet, so it was not crowded. Ordered some ground chicken samosas, dahi bhalla as starters and then chicken tandoori and garlic naan. All of the food tasted great and were freshly prepared and well presented. We couldn't finish the chicken and naan as the portions were too big for us. It seems the place only opened two and a half months ago and it was spacious and spotless. We'd been going to Ambala Sweets for about 35 years, but this place has both vegetarian and n0n-vegetarian food that gave us better choices. Will probably give it another visit soon at dinnertime and give other items on the menus a try. read more

I first had falooda in Pakistan about 15 years ago, or maybe it was 17 idk. I have missed that dessert more than most of my family tbh For the past few years, every time I visited California, I planned to drive to LA specifically to find it, but something always seemed to come up. During this visit (March 23rd) I finally had the time. After a bit of searching to make sure I found the specific Indian/Pakistani style I was craving--rather than the Persian ice cream version--I ended up at New Delhi Sweets and Snacks in Artesia. The entire experience was chef's kiss! They have a full menu including mithai, kulfi, and mango pudding for dessert..but the real showstopper was exactly what I came for: the Mango Falooda. As someone who is obsessed with all things mango, this was easily the best dessert I've ever had. It was layers of rose syrup, basil seeds, vermicelli and yummy creamy mango ice cream. I have to add, it wasn't just the food that made the trip worth it. Even my Mexican mother-in-law was really impressed with the flavors. The owner, a sweet Punjabi woman, made us feel like family. We spent some time laughing over my toddler's latest shenanigans, and she checked on us several times to ensure we were enjoying ourselves. It was truly a wonderful experience. read more

We went with kids and usually when we order non spicy Shahi paneer, it's not "non-spicy" at other restaurants. So we were apprehensive when we ordered it. Easily my new favorite restaurant in Artesia now. Went in highly recommended by one of my wife's friends & they did not disappoint. The food tasted great, you can tell they made it fresh and from scratch. The hostess/owner was gracious and spent some explaining to us how they buy their ingredients fresh every day and how the chef prepares everything from scratch daily. We tried one item each from chaat, main & indo-Chinese - each was really good. Next in line for me to go and try are missi roti, makki ki roti, pani puri & all their Indo-Chinese fare.
