New Haven truly changed my life. I went there February 13 of last year and graduated January 11 of this year. I spent 10 months trying to figure out the kind of person that I wanted to be. With the kind of people that I wanted to have in my life. It was a very tough transition there but the girls and staff welcome you with open arms and bright smiles. New Haven strips you of all of your negative and connotative thoughts and changes your mindset on the world. They have a wonderful set up of where you can attend sobriety groups off campus when you reach a certain phase. There are 5 phases. Safety (You are on it the day you arrive), Expectation (Which is team and you slowly start to build trust to earn your next phase:), Exploration (You can be out of sight of staff for 15 minutes. You don't have to consistently be with staff.), Insight (On this phase you can start going on home passes and learning how to reintegrate back into everyday life), Integrity (On this phase you get your phone privileges and can have your phone each day 2 hours and on weekends 4 hours!! You can also get to go on fun passes with a staff of your choice and get off campus a couple of hours!!) and finally Interdependence (This is the transition stage. You get to have your phone with you at all times, -- minus night time-- you get to keep a backpack with you at all times. You get to have your own food. You can go in fun passes whenever you want and you can be out of sight of staff for 4 hours, on or off campus!!) New Haven truly works for individuals and families. It helped to change and shape my life for the better and my family dynamic has never been better since I have returned home. New Haven saved my life and helped me see that there was more to life than drugs and alcohol. That I could learn how to have Healthy boundaries with people, have healthy relationships, and continue to stay sober with the provided Recovery groups. I would 10,000,000 out of 10 recommend that you send your daughter if she is struggling to the New Haven Spanish Fork campus. Thank you staff!! read more
