This is why I would never agree to work with this adoption agency. Sarah Hofland who represents herself as a social worker in adoption industry and is affiliated with New Horizon exhibits behavior that is downright predatory. Sarah Hofland searches for vulnerable young women on social media and seeks women who are going through hard times with their pregnancies. When they seek out help from adoption community with navigating the system of putting their baby for adoption a 50 y.o. Sarah Hofland tries hard to manipulate young 20 yo women to contact her agency. She leads, coaxes and lures young women into contacting New Horizon because someone's baby is the only way the agency would get paid. I knew it. Stay away from these predators. Several weeks ago I wrote a post seeking help with answers to my questions about legally leaving my newborn at a hospital using safe harbor program, which is completely legal for a mother to part with a baby and have that baby adopted by a willing adoptive parent. I had questions on how to do it legally while I did not have documents in this country. I care for placing my baby in safe hands avoiding adoptive parents paying exorbitant adoption fees adoption agencies charge that make adoption look like sale and child human trafficking. Sarah Hofland barged onto my post like a vulture and obsessively tried to steer me to contact an adoption agency. I did not want to deal with someone earning profits off children and adoptive parents. I also do not want to be a burden on the taxpayer system or make my baby an object of sale. Sarah Hofland continued to try to manipulate me with fear, guilt and shame. She chose to troll my choice of leaving the baby at the hospital, accusing me of drawing money from the system and repeatedly attempted to push me to deal with the adoption agency. Sarah Hofland then attempted to double-down on shaming and guilting me for being illegal, acting like the was thoroughly confused about my illegal ailien status, devaluing me by saying I had spelling errors in her post. Being from Europe I speak 4 languages and even with spelling errors in English lots of people offered me support in seeking answers to her questions. Instead of answering my questions about placing my baby legally without documents, Sarah Hofland chose to sadistically berate me for my illegal status in the country that I initially disclosed and already discussed in my post and comments. Furthermore, Ms. Hofland triedxhard to pressure me for not paying taxes into the system every US legal citizen pays, and shame me for drawing funds from safe haven program. All this was meant to lure the young mom to be to an gency so that they could profit from selling the baby by charging a adoptive parents hefty and often unaffordable burden of adoption fees. But what do people that profit off of adoptions care? They just care about getting paid, not about helping pregnant women who are going through hard times. In her every comment Sarah Hofland made sure everybody saw how she enjoyed trolling and attempted to belittle me. I did not let her and all her desperate attempts fell flat. She missed no chances to self aggrandize in her comments, repeatedly waning to remind me that I was illegal, "wondering" if I had a legal status in the US how would I obtain it, inferring that if I was an illegal, I was taking advantage of government assistance programs because I did not pay taxes, giving me guilt trips again and again for wanting to drop my newborn at the hospital. Sarah Hofland even tried to imtimidate me by claiming that it would be illegal and I would get arrested. All her sadistic behavior, attempts to put pressure and manipulations were designed to coerce a vulnerable undocumented young mother to be in this country to contact the adoption agency, where the owners and staff lure women and excercise their predatory practices in seeking profit. They enjoy laughing at young pregmant women who nagivate through struggle and trauma, but are not willing to be a part of adoption agency profit agenda.
