This is a large facility that seems very proud of their team, but for some reason they only have ONE doctor to handle pregnancies. Dr. Burroughs, who I am sure is a wonderful doctor, seems overwhelmed, overscheduled, and overworked. When we first started coming, we had to wait over a month to get our first appointment in. She is that busy. The clinic now seems to prioritize, and heavily market, the ice-sculpting-supplement-aesthetic-type treatments over general women's' care. Most of the physicians on staff seem to be allocated to that. With that in mind, be prepared to sit through a long hold message of advertisements anytime you need to call the clinic, or hear the loud, endlessly repeating audio ads for these treatments in the waiting room. The biggest issue I had with this office is they do not let your partners into the appointments, other than the ultrasound. I have heard that their reasoning lately is that "Covid is getting bad again". This "new" reasoning is just not truthful... Even before, when Covid was supposedly not as much of a factor, you could not have your partner/spouse in appointments. When I had asked why back then, we were told that it was just their policy. They didn't blame Covid, they just said it wasn't allowed. I feel like most physicians would want your partner to be involved, and frankly know what is going on with the pregnancy, but not this office. We were almost halfway through our pregnancy when we left this clinic and my husband hadn't even MET Dr. Burroughs. Also... Every. Single. Appointment. Ran. VERY late. Not because of time with the ultrasound tech, or labs, or the doctor, but because of hour+ long waits sitting in the lobby. We began to become accustomed to having a scheduled 10:00 a.m. appointment not ending until almost 1:00 p.m. because we sat in the lobby for 1-2 of those hours. You frequently see women going to check with the receptionists to find out what the wait was, only to be told next to nothing. The receptionists themselves look exhausted and frustrated. I can only imagine that constantly managing a waiting room of people having to sit LONG past their scheduled time would take a toll on your sanity. The ultrasounds were okay, the gentleman doing them was always very kind and it was a relief that my husband could be in the room for them. When I was actually brought to an exam room, I would sit and wait, again, in a paper backless gown, for 15-20 minutes to wait for Dr. Burroughs to arrive. A few times here and there, I could understand, but it was like this every appointment. When she did arrive, it felt like she was reading off a script. She was rushed and would ask the same questions from past appointments over and over. When all of your appointments seem to be running behind, I could see where the stress and distraction would come from. I began to wonder if she was so overwhelmed between patients that she just didn't differentiate between any of us anymore. She seemed very nice, but just not present. There was one time in the evening that we had a scare, and she thankfully was on call and able to speak with me over the phone. This was an immense relief, but not enough to make up for all that we had been dealing with thus far. I fully understand that there are tons of other women that need care. We weren't asking for special treatment, we just wanted to know that the clinic had at least a slight vested interest in our well-being, more than just another paid bill. The entire time, we didn't feel that at all. Considering the years of fertility treatments that it took for us to even get to this point, that this is our first and likely only baby, the whole experience was extremely demoralizing. We broke down over Christmas and decided to switch clinics entirely. After our first visit at the new clinic (where my husband was able to be in the appointment and we were seen right on time) we knew that we had absolutely made the right choice. Unfortunately, at Sweetwater OB GYN I just felt like a number, and not a person.

They clearly knew they messed up and just shuffled me to another private room with another nurse. Before this I was out in a bizarre zoom call w a nurse to approve the iv... I've complained to prime iv and I've emailed them and they still won't leave me alone to come back for more but they never acknowledged my complaints.

One injection of CoQ10 & one injection of vitamin D. If you haven't done IV Therapy yet. We highly recommend it! I'm not a fan of needles & have tried the IV on three different spots so far. Still haven't found one that doesn't hurt yet. Also, it's super important to talk to your health professional and let them know all of your aches, pains, & concerns. I've been fighting off sinus headaches the past few months and some are evolving into migraines. The bag they chose for me today is 100% customized for me so I'm super excited to see how I feel within the next few days. On our first visit my husband kept telling the nurse he was fine, I kept saying, "he's not fine, has chronic neck & back pain. Honestly the more information you give them the better you will feel. Depending on the bag of course. Mine has a small amount of tramadol in it today so I'm praying it helps my headaches & knee pain. We also tried the red light therapy room today so we could stay together. Lol! The red light therapy is supposed to help with anti aging, increase in energy, cognitive function, (I let them know Alzheimer's runs in my family,) providing more restful sleep, reducing anxiety, improving blood flow through the brain, and other very cool stuff that I can't remember at the moment. Also, when & if you sign up for the membership you can add your whole family to the membership so that they will be able to get member pricing. I'll be purchasing some gift certificates for everyone for Christmas! They all want to come now that we're so into it!!
