When I go back to get them done. She still charges me $75. Three days later, my nail breaks and the polish is falling off. I go in and tell her and she tried to dismiss me and tells me that it must be me because nobody else's nails break. I don't care about anyone else, what I do know is that's, if I pay that much money, I, at the very least, expect them to stay for a week. At last. She threw some glue on the top of my nail and told me to come back later. She's very rude and inappropriate. Plus she was hurting me the entire time she was doing my nails. The price for a Mani & Pedi is great here, $18 for both if you want just one color. French manicure is an extra $5 each. Free paraffin treatment for those who do the pedi. However, the salon is extremely cramped and could really use some renovations. The ladies are nice and they do seem to do a decent job with painting the nails. Unfortunately the nail color doesn't last too long before it starts chipping, yes even on my toenails. The lady who worked on me spent a lot of time on my pedicure.. maybe too much because the back of my heel is extremely sore right now due to excessive scrubbing :( Overall, it's the salon was ok.. not too eager to come back any time soon. I haven't been to this salon for a few months now since I moved further from it. However I just had another disappointing nail experience today and decided to leave a review because I miss going here. If there are 10 tiers of nail artists, Jessica belongs to the top tier. The only two people I was ever fully happy with were her and Pattie Yankee, a celebrity nail artist. I don't know what she does differently that other places don't, but my color gel by her not only lasts, but never lifts. Last time I got my nails done by her, they lasted about two months without lifting and I just kept filing down. Most places around us charge $55 max for acrylic and gel on top(new set). I been in bayside for over 15 years. This place charged me $45 for acrylic and on top of that $35 for gel. Last Saturday went to do the regular Gel polish. People work there are nice and I was having good time with my friend. However, I took a look at what have done and not happy anymore. The edge was not clean, surface was bumpy, and there was little particles(?) on surface. I actually can see all these when my hand in the LED light. I told the lady and she fixed some but I'd say it's better but not satisfied. I just left because I don't want to spend too much time for this which she can't even fix it :( The following Monday I came to work, everyone was asking me did I pay for this. I said yes (I apid $25+$5tip) ... The picture was taken on Tuesday. It was only 2 and half days past and I work in the office... Today is Friday and the edge of the polish is already lifted :( Will not recommend to anybody. Gave two star for their nice attitude. That's it. read more

What a disgusting nail salon. The polish is old chunky and watered down with acetone. They have no idea how to polish nails, they just lob it on and have the nerve to charge 13$ for a manicure that isn't even worth paying 5$. Horrible service, I wouldn't bring my dog here to get her nails done. Definitely don't recommend. Still enforcing masks that do nothing, the smell of chemical is more atrocious than covid. I love this nail place! I've been going here for almost 10 years! Everyone is really nice and skilled. Shout out to Jessica, Jenny, Tina, Young and John! I don't get tips or acrylic so I can't review on those but the gel manicures stay on for a long time and they have a lot of colors to choose from. If you are getting tips or acrylic, I do recommend making reservations in advance. For regular or gel mani-pedi, you can walk in but if you are unlucky, you might be waiting around for an hour. I love that they always have the latest shades of the season for opi and essie and they have a designated section for them so you know which colors are new! read more

After my winter hiatus good to find my favorite nail place made improvements. They are now certified germ free. They also change their practice a little. First they use something like a large shower cap to line the tub so your feet does not touch the tub. They also use a disposable scrubber for you feet, so again no sharing. With the actual pedicure they still give you the paraffin for your heel but also added a scrub for your leg and feet which I love. Can't wait till I am back again. read more

This is my go-to nail salon in Bayside. I lived in Bayside for over 10 years, and I'm pretty confident in saying that all the other nails salon are either not as good or they straight up suck. I've had some nightmarish experiences at some other places, but that's not for here. They run a $16 mani/pedi special Mondays- Fridays, it's definitely worth it to go during those days if you can. There is usually a short wait, but the ladies work fast, so it's never super long. I love that with every pedicure, you get a paraffin heel treatment.. it may seem like nothing, but if you get weekly pedicures, you'll see there's an effect! (And even if you don't get them weekly, I would think actually.) Jessica, the owner, is one of the best at drawing French (and she's super fast), but she's usually really busy doing tips and extensions and the like. I only specifically ask for her to do it for me when I have a special occasion that I really want exceptionally nice nails. For a regular day, all the other ladies were adequate/good, especially if you're just getting a regular manicure. Ask for Tina! Or Bonnie (though she's usually busy doing tips and extensions too)! read more

I have come here sporadically over the years. I had an appointment for a pedicure (no polish). As soon as I walked in, Jessica assigned me to the new male employee. I knew I was in trouble because he seemed unsure about how to proceed. I have an ingrown and he called Jessica to help him. She also had to apply ointment and alcohol when she cut a little too close. He also scrubbed my heel so raw that I had to put antibiotic ointment on it. When he was done, he said he had to ask the "Master Expert" to check his work. The cost for a regular pedicure is $25.00. I am all for new trainees because we all have to start somewhere, but I just had an uncomfortable feeling as soon as I sat in the pedicure chair. I also left the salon in pain. read more

I love this place. I love that they have the paraffin heel softener included in their regular pedicure. I love how everyone greets me loud and cheerfully every time I come here. I love that the $16 mani-pedi special that runs everyday doesn't mean you'll get a sub-par manicure or pedicure (these last a lot longer than the pricier ones I used to get by my office). I also love that even though I come in late and they are booked to the gills, they never turn me away. Maybe they like me, maybe they like my business - who knows. this is the best mani place!! i showed up like 20mins before closing for a mani pedi and they were very patient and did a great job! it took about 25-35 mins longer than their closing time so they had to stay late for me, which i really appreciated. they didn't rush me out at all so i said i would leave when i felt my nails were dry enough. really sweet ladies!! this will def be my go-to place for mani pedis. parking can be a bitch because there is a gym and other businesses next door and everyone is competing for street parking but its not too bad. read more

I'll start by saying that sign outside that says $15.99 everyday for a mani/pedi does NOT apply to Sunday's. It is NOT everyday but Monday-Saturday. Anyway, dropped in on a Sunday afternoon to find it surprisingly pretty empty. I was immediately assisted. The man who did my manicure and pedicure saved my brittle cracked nails (that were buffed and filed down to awful bits from other salons, and continuously cracked- things that had never happened prior). I salon jump all the time, getting mani/pedis from different places each month. It is rare for me to see a nail artist who is dedicated. I could tell that with his attention to detail and careful application of everything from base coat to polish to top coat that the man loved his job, and it shows. I also feel as if it's rare to see comradery between employees at salons; usually it's just them telling each other what service the customer wanted or gossiping. Here, everyone asked how their days were, when they were leaving work, and to have a good day, asking how each other's families were. But my mani and pedi came out to perfection! With all the nail salons in this area, I chose New Juns Nails because they've been here since before Lauryn Hill sang about girls who have fake nails done by Koreans. This says a lot especially considering how cut throat business is around Northern and Bell Blvd. Prices right now are $16 for a regular mani/pedi every day and $21 for a french mani/reg pedi (which is what I got). The nice woman who carefully did my nails was very professional and nice. She did a great job and even fixed my nails for me when I messed them up while they were drying. worst arcrylic tips i have ever gotten in years of wearing tips. friendly staff and beautiful color selection but poor quality tips. they don't use powder and they use very cheap glue which caused one nail to break off within two days...a huge disappointment since my nails looked beautiful. more nails broke off that week while i was at work...IN AN OFFICE SETTING!!!! the tips actually felt thin and flimsy from the first day but i chose to ignore it and proceed on. a huge waste of $20 will make the trip to oscar nails on francis lewis or to jamaiaca ave. I tried this spot as it close to my apartment and I wish I didn't. I went in wanting a gel manicure and Jess suggested a powder gel as it would be "stronger". Within 24 hours, I had 3 chipped nails and cracks in most of the other nails. I called to come in and get it fixed with an appointment time, but had to wait 40 min to be helped. The woman who "fixed" my broken nails managed to ruin the few nails that were ok. I complained while I was there, as I was there going on 1.5 hours. Jess attempted to fix them and made it worse. I cannot waste another minute attempting to get these nails right. Oh and it cost $45! read more

DO NOT COME HERE. The service/regular coloring is horrid. I have yet to have received a pedicure so bad. It took them 5minutes to give a pedicure. They basically dip your feet in water and finish. Then i had to wait 20minutes just to get my hands done. ABSOLUTE WORST PLACE I HAVE BEEN. EVER. I got a blue colored pedi but the colors were blotchy and uneven. The color started bubbling after two minutes and when I asked the lady to fix it she just looked at me like I said something offensive. I don't understand. If its busy and you cannt give me appropriate service then just say that you do not have time. I am so upset. I ended up just asking them to erase the pedi and paid and left. I decided to try this nail salon because the one that I normally go to was fully booked. I am veryyyy particular about my coffin shaped gel manicures and have a hard time finding salons that are familiar with this shape. I tried my luck and I am beyond pleased with nails. Jessica did my nails and all I had to do was show her a picture of what I wanted and she delivered. She has a great technique which is required for beautiful nail shaping and applying gel color in thin layers so it doesn't look bulky. I will definitely be returning. Thanks Jessica!!!! read more
