TLDR: Tasty pizza. Crust is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The bacon crumble gives a nice smokey flavour to the pizza. I enjoyed it.
I had never heard of New Orleans Pizza before, but apparently it's a chain that's been around since 1978. This location is the first and I believe the only one in Ottawa (at least at the time of the writing of this review). It's actually inside a convenience store called Our Neighbourhood Store. However, it has its own entrance and some limited seating.
I was in the area and saw that they had a BOGO (buy one get one free) special on UberEats. Small Hawaiian pizzas were going for $15.49, so with the BOGO deal it was 2 small pizzas for that price. The Hawaiian comes with pineapple, ham and bacon crumble.
The ham is sliced, which I always prefer to cubed. The pineapple was canned pineapple pieces. The bacon crumble was so smokey and delicious.
The crust was regular-to-thick. I usually prefer thin crust, but I liked the crust here. The outside was crunchy, but the inside was soft and fluffy. They also spread the toppings to the edge, which I loved.
They sell slices too, if you didn't want an entire pizza. Although the small is more like a personal-sized pizza.
I ordered on the UberEats app for pickup. Pickup was quick. Staff were courteous.
The place is in a little plaza. There's free parking available at the plaza parking lot.
