Hot garlic sauce prawns lunch special
Lisa L.

The Hot garlic shrimp lunch special could feed 2 people. Would try something different next time.

I was made aware that we had a new Chinese place in town. We used to order from the old place. New Peking is so much better! And... the lunch plates are 7 days a week!! Food is made to order and while we only tried chicken dishes for our first time here, after eating them I am betting the other dishes are fantastic!! Next time I am going to order shrimp. We went in to order and nice gentleman brought out to the truck when it was ready. We asked him to. So glad they are open! Quick and easy and delicious! And affordable! 5 stars

Mongolian chicken lunch, very delicious and fresh.

Very glad I tried New Peking restaurant. Very helpful. The Mongolian chicken was delicious. It came with the best fried rice around. Will be back to try other delights.

Very small location for dine in. We had: Green beans - 4.5 of 5. Peefectly cooked but not much heat/chili. General tsaio chicken 4.5 of 5 good mix of heat and sweet and very crunchy. Chicken fried rice 3 of 5. Lots of chicken and green onions. Well sauteed tice but no carrots or egg and only few peas. Snow pea beef 5 of 5. Not on menu but they made for us and it was yummmm.

This is such a great spot to have down the street! My wife and I often get lunch specials, and so far all of the different options we have tried have been great. Flavorful, packed with meat and veggies, and huge portions. It's a really great value. The staff is also always very friendly.

Taking over what used to be ACME Express for many years, New Peking finds themselves in one of the older shopping centers in this area, and doesn't really have much in there besides an IHOP and a Petco. It is in the shopping center across the street from the Lucky's shopping center. Parking is usually not an issue here, as again, not a busy shopping center, so shouldn't have to worry too much about this issue. The spot is pretty small, as previously, ACME was mainly just a takeout place, so New Peking is also mainly just a takeout place, though with a few smaller tables as well set up inside. Obviously, not good for big parties. The staff here are always friendly, though it's usually just the 1 guy there always, which I believe it's a whole family thing as the people in the back are probably related since it's all the same people too in the back. I do always get a friendly wave and hello from them though when they see me come in from their open window kitchen. The menu here is going to be decently sized. It has a little bit of everything on it, but certainly going to be an expansive menu by any means, but still plenty to choose from. Their lunch menu is also decently sized, though, it just doesn't appear that way since they just combined the options of having chicken, beef, shrimp under one item name, so just feels like it's less, but compared to other menus, it's about the same number of items had they listed the different options separately. The biggest selling point here is the price though. Definitely one of the more affordable joints around, and the other part of it is that the portions are also comparable to the lower pricing of their items. A great bang for your buck for sure, particularly since many Chinese food places I've frequented throughout the years seems to be significantly higher now. At this spot, at least this is a selling point for sure. Lunch menu prices are just great, and includes rice (fried rice option free of charge unlike other places, and it's actually decent) and a fried spring roll (make sure to ask for sweet and sour sauce). If you want to feel filled after lunch, this is a great spot for that and you won't be paying all that much. So, let's get down to the important part, which is the food. How does it taste? I feel overall, the dishes that I've tried and ordered have all been pretty decent. One thing I appreciate about their dishes is that most of them have a good variety of other ingredients mixed into them, as opposed to some places where, if you order kung pao chicken, it'll be the same chicken, zucchini, and peanuts in them, and not much else. The ingredients they use here are a bit more varied in these dishes. They'll have some more traditional Chinese cuisine ingredients mixed into these dishes, and they're great because they add texture but also flavor to these dishes. It's a great combination of a little of everything in these dishes. The flavors of these dishes are also well done, and tastes delicious. Tried several flavorings already from the schezuan, to the hot garlic, to the kung pao, and thus far, probably hot garlic is my favorite. I typically pick the shrimp as the option, as they give a good amount of shrimp for your selected entree, and the shrimp is cooked well and delicious. I do enjoy their chicken wings here too, but certainly make sure to order the secret menu item version, and not just the options of regular or spicy. I quite enjoy the secret menu Sesame Chicken Wings flavor for this particular dish, so I would recommend picking this option if you're visiting and want wings. Overall, a place I would recommend for those who are interested in a decent Chinese takeout spot, or a quiet sit down spot because there's not really many seats in there anyways, but this shopping center in general has less foot traffic, so it's rare to have other people seated inside besides waiting for takeout. The bang for your buck aspect is probably the biggest highlight, next to the food being quite yummy, but the portions of food you get for the price are well worth it and one of the main reasons to pay New Peking a visit.

Such a successful rebranding - delicious American Chinese food. We tried out their lunch specials (available daily from 11am to 3pm). We got slight variations of the same dish : General Tso's and Sesame. They were both delicious and had the same sweet sauce base. We preferred the General Tso's chicken slightly more since it had a mellow spice to make the sweet sauce more complex. The host was really nice and attentive It is nothing fancy but a neat little diner with 4 tables. I can't wait to go back to try out the rest of the menu.

Sweet-and-sour pork, crab rangoon, BBQ spareribs, House special chow mein, House special fried rice, dry cooked string beans.

Food, service, and lighting really great! I wish it was more visible to the road so it can get the attention it deserves! This place reminded me of a restaurant I ate at growing up on an island I lived on as a child and I could never find similar flavors anywhere else! Yes, I ordered everything that I had enjoyed! Their portion size is very generous! I will have food for a couple of days hahahah and very worth it! I'm so grateful I'm so happy and I look forward to returning! The waiting time was about 20 minutes or so, but what do you expect for a freshly cooked delicious food! Zero complaints on my end! I recommend this restaurant! Thank you everyone there I taste the love and hard work putting into this food tonight! Thank you beautiful souls/spirits!

Pork chow fun

New menu with different owners from the previous chinese restaurant in that location. Counter person was friendly. 2 chefs working in the back. Food was ready in about 15 minutes. Ordered the pork chow fun, smells great, good amount of meat, beansprouts, green onions, and red onions. Tasty

Big plate of pepper steak lunch special for only $10.95! Delicious and generous portion!

Small clean place with delicious food. Very reasonable yet generous portions! One of the best and clean tasting Chinese food in the area. I had their pepper steak lunch special for $10.95! Beef was so tender & flavorful, also generous portion of fried rice, tasty but it wasn't salty at all which I love! The spring roll was bigger than your normal size and piping hot. I was hungry but couldn't finish the plate. I got the other half to go for my dinner tonight. The male server was very pleasant, service was quick and efficient. Come try this place! I promise you won't be disappointed.

Lunch special

Great Chinese food! Got the lunch special the other day (protein and egg fried rice) and have no complaints! Generous portion size, food was hot, and came with eggroll and side sauces.

Pepper steak

Ordered pepper steak at lunch. Included fried rice, spring roll and tea. Attentive service and food served quickly. Happy with good quantity and price. I will return. Pic attached

Delicious food and huge portions. The interior is simple and kind of small, but the food is amazing. We'll definitely go back.

You actually pay for your order when you get to the store, which I would be worried for them if people place orders and don't show up. I ended up ordering Basil Eggplant with Chicken and Prawns, as well as Deluxe Chow Fun. The bag was fairly compact when I picked it up - two plastic containers of the dishes. When I opened up the container, they were overfilling! I'd say very generous portions for the price. -Basil Eggplant with Chicken and Prawns: I don't feel like this is a really traditional Chinese dish, maybe a bit more Thai, but it was delicious! I also wasn't expecting the sauce to be as red as it was. This dish had a lot of basil which I liked, and a lot of flavor. There was a good amount of protein. -Deluxe Chow Fun: Pretty good, the noodles were soft and bouncy, good amount of flavor, and also lots of protein. Service during pickup was friendly. When I was there, it seemed like the restaurant is popular, with both diners and people coming in to pickup their to-go orders. This is a very solid place for Chinese food!

The minced pork sauce clung onto them really really well. The minced pork had a nice balance of sweet and savory, although it leaned towards a little sweeter than I personally prefer. But it wasn't a problem at all, since I was able to adjust the flavor to make it more savory by using the Chicken Granules, Cumin, Chili Oil, and White Pepper condiments. Overall, it was a very satisfying dish! We also tried their new shaved ice dessert. It wasn't like the Hawaiian style shaved ice which is based on frozen water, but more like Korean style Bingsoo with a milky shaved ice base. The flavor and texture were both good, but I thought it was missing the toppings. It relied solely on syrup, and I think it would've been much better with fresh fruit or other toppings to add more flavor. It was $5.99 per order as of July 2026.
