veg pad thai no egg (vegan)
    Grace X.

I had an amazing time at dinner here with a friend. The menu is super vegan friendly, I opted for the vegetarian pad thai and asked for no egg. Our waiter was so adorably nice, and when he brought out some chiles and spicy sauce before our food he even made sure to let me know there was no fish sauce in any of the sauces. The food was amazing, very flavorful and had a good ratio of noodles to protein to veggies. The dish on its own was not really spicy at all even though I think it was supposed to be, but you can add your own spice. The interior has a lot of cool artwork and there are television screens showing scenes of Thailand, I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Prices were not outrageous either, especially considering the area. Would definitely be back to try other offerings. Highly recommend!

So good! The food really reminded me of my Thailand trip. My favorite was the crispy pork and Chinese broccoli which had the right amount of heat. I also ordered the spring rolls (unfortunately they ran out of the shrimp ones) but the tofu spring rolls were still satisfying, served with 2 dipping sauces. I tried an appetizer called hoi jor also, which was a generous portion.

New Thai Elephant is my favorite spot at the moment for thai! Stopped in here with some friends right as they were opening and we were starving! Got a thai iced tea, fresh spring rolls and some pad se ew! Everything was delicious and we were all so fun with leftovers after so great meal overall! I love the little thai iced tea bear they put in the glass too! It was definitely the talk of our dinner for a bit. Definitely recommend getting a fresh roll/spring roll at New Thai Elephant! They are delicious!

My boyfriend and I were craving Thai food while we were out in the city and we wanted something that was a little more relaxed so we tried this spot! I'm glad we did because it's so close to the pier, we walked from one of the parking structures and it was the perfect distance before and after a meal! Especially if you're going to be walking around the pier for a bit. The service was great too! When my boyfriend and I went we were sat fairly quickly and didn't have to flag them down besides getting the check. We came during their dinner rush and they get so many door dash orders! It makes me happy to see local business' thriving and serving their community! It was awesome. The ambiance is nice too! They have multiple TVs and one of them was playing jojos bizarre adventure which was hilarious because it's my boyfriend's favorite show! We were definitely entertained. The food was absolutely delicious! More on the spicy side and that's a compliment! Nothing tasted greasy or soggy, the green curry was so yummy the day of and the day after, their portion sizes are pretty big and neither of us were able to finish our food!! The veggies tasted very fresh as well as the noodles, like everything's made to order! We need to go back and try more of their menu!! Glad to know we have a place to go to when in the city and craving Thai!!

Had a short wait and was very busy even right before close. Quick service and the panang curry was very tasty and a large portion. Recommend.

We were quite hungry after running some errands, and based on the reviews, we decided to give this place a try. It's a fairly small restaurant with only three booth-style seats and mostly small tables. Honestly, the tables for two felt a bit cramped, so we were lucky to get a booth. We ordered a vegetable broth soup, which had a light, clean flavor. It was good, especially since you can adjust it with spices provided. I also had the pumpkin curry, which was good and came with rice which I appreciate as most of the time, the rice is not included. It wasn't the best pumpkin curry I've ever had, but it was good. The pad see ew was good as well, though nothing particularly memorable. The fried rice, however, felt a bit too oily for my taste. Overall, it was a good meal, though I think our hunger definitely played a role. I'm glad I tried it, but I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to return.

My eldest was craving Thai food, so I found this spot within walking distance of our hotel and decided to order takeout. We got the chicken pad see ew, mango salmon salad, and chicken red curry. The pad see ew was really good, it was full of flavor with perfectly chewy noodles. The mango salad was also a standout, and I appreciated that they kept the dressing separate so I could add it myself when I got back. The red curry, however, was good, but not the best. I've definitely had better elsewhere. It was pretty spicy and you can't adjust the spice level. Overall, it was a solid experience, and if we're ever back in town and craving Thai food, I'd happily return.

I visited in 2023 and was excited that I had the chance to visit again. The food here is some of the best Thai food I've had. The soup is very flavorful and one of my favorite things to order. The food comes out hot, fresh, and of course delicious!

Not much to say other than everything was excellent! Service was very fast and attentive. Staff was very friendly. The restaurant wasn't too busy, and the music was nice. Very clean restaurant. The food was all amazing! The curry was great and the noodles cooked perfectly. A must try in SF!

They don't take reservations. I walked in on a Wednesday night around 6:30pm. The place was full and the wait was around 15 minutes. The food is priced really well for the portion, quality and taste. It's a casual Thai restaurant with not many seats. I'd recommend coming earlier or after 7:30, closer to 8 to avoid the wait time.

Went in for a quick bite before catching a flight. We ordered wonton soup and pad thai. The soup was really good but definitely had better pad thai. Still both dishes were solid. It was a nice warm meal. The service was amazing.

We were looking for somewhere warm to eat after our Alcatraz tour, so we decided on New Thai. We started with two hot teas and the Chicken Satay skewers. With the addition of the peanut sauce, the skewers were the best part of the meal. Our tea took a while to arrive to us, as the server was trying to get multiple table's drinks on his tray before delivering. I thought it would probably be easier to do the cold drinks and hot drinks separate. Anyway, I ordered the Chicken Noodle Soup with flat noodles. The broth was very light and on the blander side. The heavier flat noodles didn't pair very well with the lighter broth, which is probably my bad as I opted for them. I would come here again, but try another dish. All in all, our experience served our needs and we were satisfied.

I finally had the chance to dine in at this restaurant after ordering take out here so much since it's so close to my work, and I'm convinced it tasted even better! I highly recommend their roti that comes with a curry sauce, and their chicken satay with a scrumptious peanut sauce and freshly diced cucumbers. I personally got their crab fried rice this night, and I believe it's the best crab fried rice I've ever had. So much real crab chunks, and the flavor was savory and decadent. I'm craving it as I describe its flavor honestly. The interior is cozy and casual, and their staff is attentive and quick even when it's hectic and busy. I applaud the servers for their great service. If you are searching for a Thai spot near the pier or north beach this is the one to go to as you'll leave wanting to come back for sure!!!

We ordered the Papaya Salad, Veg Spring Rolls, House Favorite Yellow Curry, Eggplant Basil, Pad Kee Mao, and White Rice. The Papaya Salad was a bit disappointing. It was overly sour and tasted more citrusy than fresh and lime-forward. The Veg Spring Rolls were fine, but nothing particularly memorable. The biggest letdown was the Yellow Curry. It lacked the rich flavor I typically expect from a Thai curry, and some of the vegetables seemed undercooked. The Eggplant Basil was also underwhelming. It lacked the distinct basil flavor that the dish is known for. Since we ordered the vegetarian version, it came loaded with a mix of other vegetables, which made it feel more like a generic vegetable stir-fry than an eggplant basil dish. The Pad Kee Mao was the standout of the meal. It had good flavor and was enjoyable, although the portion size felt a bit small for the price. Overall, the food was ok, but nothing really stood out. I've had better Thai food elsewhere, both in terms of flavor and value. While the experience wasn't bad, it wasn't memorable enough to make me want to return. For the price point, I expected more authentic flavors and better execution.

I only knocked the restaurant down by a star because the servers were pretty pushy with wanting us to leave despite the multitude of empty tables around us. Besides that, the food is really delicious. The papaya salad is amazing if you like spice! There was a great kick and acidity to the papaya salad distributed throughout the fresh vegetables in the dish. I highly recommend! The pumpkin fries were also a great choice: crispy fry with soft pumpkin inside, maintaining the overall pumpkin flavor profile. The sauce they provide on the side (sweet and sour plum sauce), cut through the fry but didn't overwhelm the pumpkin itself. For myself, I got the yellow curry with chicken. The curry dishes do not come with rice, so you will have to order that on the side. The curry is not only a generous portion, but FULL of ingredients. They do not skimp on the meat, potatoes, etc. Highly recommend trying Farmhouse Kitchen for some flavorful Thai dishes!

It was around 8 PM, and it wasn't busy at all, so we were able to get a table right away. During our visit, we shared three dishes: the Thai coconut hot cakes from their specials menu (which they highly recommended), the beef salad for some protein, and the drunken noodles. The Thai coconut hot cakes were warm, gooey, and filled with coconut milk. I really enjoyed the contrast between the crispy bottoms of the cakes and the chunks of pumpkin and corn throughout. The beef salad and drunken noodles were both good, but I will say they didn't necessarily stand out compared to similar dishes I've had at other Thai restaurants.
