Just came back and ordered the DÖNER WITH CHEESE- it was meh. Just for the fact that it was chicken, u have no other eat option for doner here. One of the most terrible things that happened here was that my friend has celiac and the menu does not have specifics of certain gluten item, she tried to return the dish and was not allowed and they told her that she should have said something, how could have she if the meal looked not o have any sides?.? We came here last night and the food was seriously above and beyond what we expected. I got the falafel plate and he got the chicken Doner . So much flavor and so delicious . So here goes...NYD is a Mecca of sorts for late-night partiers around the Landstuhl area. Once the drinks end, the döner indulgences begin! The döner kebab is shaved meat (usually lamb) with veggies and cucumber sauce stuffed into a pita. However I found that the Turkish pizza (take döner contents, make them spicier, and wrap them in a soft tortilla-esque wrap. This is my small piece of Turkish heaven! Con: It's basically a walk-in hot dog stand for döners. Grab it and go. Bottom line: Party heartily, then enjoy one of these Turkish gut-bombs after! I do! read more

He's not open late because he doesn't need to be, and there's always a line during lunch and dinner. 2: Sacha's - Unlike Ali Baba, this place is open late, and the best option if you are going home around midnight. SERIOUSLY, I warn everyone, do NOT eat here! You don't want to know what the place looks like where your food is prepared. I had deep fried long black hair in my food. The owner and his wife were extremely rude. I discreetly brought the hair to the lady at the front, apologising from my side out for making a complaint and telling her that normally I would never do this, but would it be possible to have a new side of fries without the fried hair? She made a point to embarrass me in front of all the other diners in the restaurant. She yelled that it must have been my hair and refused to offer any compensation or apology. I've been waiting for this moment for a long time! New York Doener is a staple of Landstuhl living and its finally being Yelped for the first time! New York Doener is an odd name for a seriously tasty Kebap in a slightly quirky, odd atmosphere of a restaurant. There's nothing New York about it and thats probably a good thing. Its weird how almost every time I go to Germany I get this craving for a NYD. And they occur at the craziest times too. I don't ever really want to know what their secret ingredient is, but it is unlike any other Doner I know...anywhere. And you know its a good place when most people measure how good of a night they are having by how many they times they stop in NYD that night. NYD is cheap (by European standards) and tasty. A must go if you are ever in Landstuhl. read more

While the doner was truly awesome, we also had some lamb chops and pizza that were near terrible. The pizza was on the level of a totinos, and while it didn't make you feel bad about your life choices afterward, the way a totinos does, it was still pretty bad. My kids loved it for some reason, but what can I say... They'd eat trash off the street if it had cheese on it. Maybe terrible is a little too harsh to describe the chops, but for 11 euro they were way too fatty. If I was rating the doner alone, I'd give a 5. This restaurant would be much better served if they just stuck with the doner. read more

This is our go to Döner shop. I get the Döner teller and my husband gets the wrap. We usually have it delivered to Gate 1 of Landstuhl and it's there within 15 minutes. It's not horribly expensive and one of their employees always speaks English. Yum. read more

I've only had the doner kebab and the wrap but both were equally delicious. I got them with the white sauce and everything on it. They hand rolled the dough for my wrap right in front of me which I thought was very cool and unique. Their ingredients are fresh which make this fastfood joint an awesome choice for a midnight snack. Their drink selection is a bit pricey so if you can, bring your own. It also is about the same temperature inside as it is outside so if it's cold, bring a jacket. read more
