It is great being in the type of barbershop most of us grew up in. Steve is my sons and my barber and he has always been great. He has cut my boys since they were little and now they are 17 and 15. No hate, but I called the day prior and scheduled an appointment for 4:30 pm, and I guess they probably forgot or something cause when I arrived I was there waiting for about 50 min. I'd say the frustrating part was the fact that no one checked with me at all the time I was there, Once I got up and spoke to one of the barbers the guy told me that he never had someone with my name set for an appointment and tried to tell me I had the wrong place, I had to show him the number of the store to show that indeed that was the place so clearly they just dropped the ball here and I lost an hour of my time. So I'd say if you are new verify that you made an appointment with them or else you risk sitting there forever with no assistance. read more

Watch out for the prices!!! I went for a quick haircut, which took about 10 min. The guy charged me $40, even though on the wall clearly showed "New prices: $30 a haircut". Can't even rate the place. I didn't say anything, I just paid, left a tip on top of the money, but I'll never step foot in that place even though its very convenient for me. This barber shop is a nice change from the Supercuts/Haircuttery type deal. Especially being a man I've always had subpar results in those places. One week its a decent cut, then its a murder scene on my skull. I get the vibe that this barbers is mostly a trimmer place. Which was fine because I wanted a short, clean cut. Really the best part is my barber Santiago just knew what would suit my skull. I told him I wanted short and clean, and low maintenance, and not too much prepping with gel and products. He just went with the vagueness and delivered. 1.5 on the sides. 5.5 on the top. Straight razor to trim the edges. And the best part? He didn't touch my wonky hairline. If he had made it a perfect line (taping), in two days I would have had patches growing back. Its just common sense, but I've found it lacking in most cookie-cutter salons. read more

These guys really know what they're doing. The atmosphere in this place makes you want to stick around long after you're finished in the chair. Likewise, if you have to wait a while beforehand, it's not a big deal because you can just chill and watch Sportscenter or play some pool. As for the barbers, they're all top notch. I watched them as I waited and decided I wouldn't have a problem with anyone of them touching my head. Each barber has his own style and is extremely professional. NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN. Cursing and ignorance run rampant in this place. Came here to get cuts for my 3 & 4 yr olds, barber was rude beyond belief. My boys moved during their cut because they're CHILDREN, barber scolds my 4yr old "C'mon, man, don't do that!" Offended by his attitude, I offered to help holding his head - but it got awkward. To break the ice, he starts asking my husband where we're from and what work we do.He said people in corporate America who pay taxes, unlike him in a cash business, are "bird n*gga*s." What?! This is by THE WORST barbershop (and establishment) I have ever, ever, ever been to. The men working there were abrupt and rude and were speaking openly about what kind of prostitutes they pay for. They had a bunch of their friends sitting around joining in the conversation. My haircut was horrible...everything that could go wrong did go wrong and then he proceeded to blow hair all over me with an air compressor. he didn't use his hands to cut my hair he just free cut it which obviously gave horrendous results. Outrageous - I am a 58 year old male and came into the shop with a very traditional man's cut - I left looking I was just out of prison. I guess because he opened up the shop 20 late, he was in a hurry and didn't hear a word I said to him. What made the experience even worse is even after it was too late to turn back and I was clearly upset - he didn't seem to care. Avoid this shop - I certainly will in the future. read more
