Soup was cold, had to get a new bowl. There was a film on my soup that it sat around too long. The farmers market sandwich was missing the portabella mushroom so the manager was kind to make me a new half sandwich. When served my meal which included soup, the waitress had to go back to get the silverware, which I unwrapped to find that it didn't included the spoon, so I had to get up and go get one from one of the cooks. read more

What a modern upbeat restaurant in college town, definitely worth going too. I didn't expect much but the sweet and spicy BBQ sandwich slaps so hard. Perfect southern combo of steak, coleslaw, BBQ sauce and jalapeños. Although they did give me chips instead of fresh fruit the speed of the order came so fast it definitely cancels out the mistake. Despite all the negative views of this place, I absolutely LOVE it! I went my second time today and enjoyed it even more than the first! The food is reasonably good: mind you. we're talking about soup and salads for the most part. But the sandwich selection is well represented as you ponder the large poster board at the entrance. I found the ham sandwich, with a mac and cheese side dish to be my go to from now on. the sandwich was ample with steaming piles of meat, and the cheesey melt was just enough; you still tasted the ham without an overload of cheese. Speaking of cheese! the mac and cheese is the best! Hot and steamy and just enough crispiness to make you go back for more. The staff is going to be hit and miss depending on the time of day. I've gone in and was met by friendly staff, and other times, it was clear they couldn't have cared less about the customer as they glare at you with that ice cold gaze that melts your soul like only an ex can. The last time I came here, I only ordered soup and a sandwich. Yes, ti was pretty bland so I wasn't a huge fan. However, I tried something different this time, and I ended up liking this place so much more! I ended up getting a Greek salad. The lunch rush was pretty quick and I was able to get in and out in under 30 minutes. Definitely a great dish! It was so big, I definitely had plenty for dinner the same day. I really loved how it was loaded with more veggies than just plain old spinach. It really brought the salad to life. Best part, they weren't too heavy handed with the dressing. I built my own pizza with sausage, pepperoni, olive, mushroom, artichoke hearts, and red onion. It was AWESOME. The artichoke hearts were very thick and there was more hearts than leaves. I also got coleslaw and it turned out great too very cream, and not dry. I got my food delivered, which was speedy and the presentation was great. I'd never even heard of this place until today, and it was fine. I had the Newks "Q" sandwich and a Caesar salad. Both were good, but it's just your standard deli fare - sandwiches and soups and salads with nothing really amazing. The same goes for McAlister's and Panera, and Jason's Deli - they're all pretty much the same menu. I don't ever expect greatness from a lunch experience at a deli, and this place was no different. Oh I hate to give a franchise such a rating but I tried two locations and found each to be tasty. Staff was friendly, but made was roomy and clean. The salads are huge but the sandwiches are a little lean are fillings. The tea is great. The strawberry cake is unbelievable! This had been a favorite of ours but lately it's getting run down. Three weeks ago we were eating here and it was obvious the AC wasn't working. When we ate there today, it felt the same and the poor cashier said it broke about a week ago but they're getting used to it. It's 100% humidity in there and getting gross. Recently grabbed lunch here with my mom and sons. What a delicious spot! All employees were wearing masks, everything was very clean and we didnt wait long at all for our orders. I will not be eating here again. It took them over 30 mins to bring my order. They kept taking food to people that came in after me. My friend that ordered after me got her order. We asked where my food was. They said another customer picked it up by mistake. That is a lie. You don't pick up your food, a waiter brings it to you. When it was finally brought to me , they said they had credited the bill and I didn't have to pay. I told her that was funny as I had paid cash! This place is way too expensive for the outcome. Every time we go something is wrong. Made incorrectly or just plain forgotten. The pizza Margherita was good. The lobster crab bisque is VERY good. I LOVE Their caesar salad & caesar dressing. Great place to eat, always. And when school is not in session, it works for a medium size group (10 people). Really want to thank manager who happened to overhear a younger teen member of group ordered something they had food allergies to - he encouraged him get something else without hassle and without charge! Their pimento grilled cheese sandwich is the stuff of dreams. It must be so unhealthy, but man is it delicious. When I am feeling healthier, I get the "Newk's Favorite Salad". The flavors are so on point in this salad. I love it! The soups are generally pretty good. They have gotten my order wrong a couple times, but are always quick to correct. Quick, easy spot for casual dining. Think... Fresh Choice sans the all you can eat buffet fused with Blue Baker. Salads, soups, pizzas and sandwiches. The portion of the salad was generous. The bread sticks were strangely housed in individual plastic wrapping..which is fine by me since it alleviated the fear that grubby little hands were all over them. The price is reasonable as well.. we got a Cobb Salad and sandwich for 16.00$. Nothing stellar but it's a casual place to grab a quick bite to eat. read more
