This is a great roadside restaurant/ gas station/ food mart. We ate at the restaurant and we had the poutine! It was pretty good and flavorful. The service was great and friendly!! They also have a little bakery section with fresh and extremely delicious Belgian cream puffs. I strongly recommend the cream puffs!! read more

Truck stops usually have good food. Plus, breakfast is such an easy meal, it's impossible to mess up. After stopping here, those two statements no longer hold true. My fiancé wanted to try a new place instead of going to Big G's, which is my all time favorite place for breakfast. I knew that was a huge mistake when I saw my food. My corned beef hash was pretty much all potatoes, looked and tasted like canned dog food. It was cooked nice and crispy on the outside but was grayish on the inside. The toast was beyond well done, borderline burnt. If I wanted carcinogens for breakfast, I will get it the old fashioned way and inhale it from the exhaust of the trucks outside. At least I might enjoy the high in the process. The coffee was watered down as well. For this, I had the "luxury" of paying twice as much as I would have at Big G's. I was only able to eat the home fries and eggs since everything else was inedible. I also had one of my fiancé's pancakes. *As of February 2020, there are 5 reviews that are "not recommended." I am a driver from Auburn and recently stopped in for fuel and of course snacks. After Angela rang up my total, I handed her a $5. She quickly noted there were 2 bills stuck together and promptly returned the extra bill to me. I applaud her honesty. Angela is very polite, and professional to her customers. I feel had those bills been 100's, Angela would have done the same thing! This event made me stop and think about all my Irving visits throughout Maine. service was terrible. it appeared we were ignored after we got our drinks. the server kept clearing tables and walked by us 5 times, ignoring us. my husband went to the front of the restaurant and yelled that we were ready to order. but no one came. when we picked up to leave, our server came over and apologized saying she thought our order was taken already. it was not crowded at all so not too busy. no excuses. read more

We have been going to the Store for 11 years, to have meals, and pick up items we need while we are there. The food is great, the Servers are wonderful, and we enjoy it every time we eat there. One suggestion: Have the Breakfast buffet on Saturdays. We go to Church on Sunday and the time doesn't work so we can never go anymore! It was a part of our routine for Saturdays before. Yes, once again a great little spot in the middle of Yankee Redneck woods in Maine. Of course, this isn't high class -- It's a truck stop! I heard from friends in PA that truck stops had amazing food. I have to admit that when I visited Maine, I am uncontrollably unhappy with food. Especially because most people aren't really aware of cuisine or did not grow up to appreciate good food beyond blend seafood. BUT, I have found some good spots. This is one of them. If I don't compare Maine's restaurants to the gems I have back home, they are pretty good. I would not order any pasta at this truck stop, but I remember having the breakfast, yum! I live in the area, so this place is conveinent . They used to have good food, but maybe someone else took place over, Went there one day with my daughter, food was discusting, got diahrea after. But decided to try again, everyone has an off day, My husbands steak tips were over cooked and dry, so he sent back got a phili cheese steak sandwich, hardly any meat, mostly bread, I ordered pot roast, although it tasted good, I have been sick for two days now. Maybe the cook should wash his hands after using bathroom, or maybe place needs an inspection done. Never again, horrible read more

My sister, niece, my nieces' friend and I just had the worst meal ever ! I was really disappointed tonight . We have eaten here once before and decided to go again, but after tonight, that won't happen again . For starters it took over an hour to get our meals . Then when we did , they wanted to know what one of the girls wanted for dressing on her salad .... ummmm she ordered a Caesar salad. So then she gets served a chef salad with a side of Caesar dressing. So back it went and she got the right salad about 10 minutes later. Another meal was pancakes and a side of bacon. The pancakes were almost black and the bacon I think was from another day it was so tough. My sister asked for a hot turkey sandwich. She got turkey on the plate with gravy over that and her potatoes. ( Not to mention her stuffing was like 1/2 a scoop. ) We both had the broccoli for a vegetable and that was so waterlogged it had little color left to it and was floating in water. Topping it all off, all was lukewarm at best. We would have had everything taken back and redone, but as we had 2 school age children with us and we still had to drive over half an hour to get home,we took what we got and then headed for home. read more

The new dinning room remodel looks good, but I just had the worst breakfast there, I opted out of the buffet & ordered off the menu- pancakes were hard, I think the bacon was left over from last week, couldn't even begin to eat. read more
