I relied on either family or the general apt building community washer/dryers to do the trick, and they have. In fact, I found quickly after going here that I was one lucky duck for having a washer/dryer in my former apt building. Early in October of 2010, my boyfriend and I moved to a new apartment which promised us available washer/dryer. Unfortunately they took a while to make good on their word, so we had to use backup methods for laundry for a while. After some research (aka Google), we headed to a nearby laundromat to do a few loads of laundry. Plain and simple, I did not enjoy doing my laundry here. I'm not sure how this fares compared to other laundromats, but I was not ecstatic about this location. When we entered, we saw a variety of washers. Some were clearly old and defunct, but some were bigger and kept in better shape. As we began to figure out the wash, some kind patrons informed us that the washer we were about to put money in did not work. TIP: Tape on the washer/dryer means it does not work. Unfortunately not all broken machines have tape on them, so it's a total gamble. We were saved by this nice tip from other customers. A few people came in and out to do laundry while we were there. The biggest machines in the center of the room are the best ones to use for washing; the dryers are hit-and-miss in terms of functional units. The entire place was a bit grungy and not very well kept. A man came in while we were there to buy some detergent - he put his money in the dispenser on the wall and found it was not working. He had no way to report this issue and get his money back, so we loaned him some. I was glad we'd brought supplies, as it's apparent that this place steals many a poor unknowing patron's money. I will not be likely to visit here again unless absolutely necessary - and I'll be sure to try out other locations before returning here.

Looks like it was recently renovated with new flooring, paint and washing machines. They have 6 Huge dryers at .25 cents for 4 minutes. They have 7 washing machines the smallest one is 3 load capacity for $3.75 (25 min). The larger one is 5 loads for $5.50. They also accept credit cards in the washing machines which is convenient. The soap dispenser machine is $1, however they dont sell dryer sheets so you may need to bring that yourself. Free wifi here and a little table to sit on while waiting. Super cute place, but I didnt see any bathrooms available. Ample parking on the street and about 1 mile from downtown Cincy.

The washers and dryers were adequately working. They have washer and dryer sizes to accommodate all laundry loads. I washed 4 loads including 2 covers and a large comforter for approximately $25. Unfortunately, the staff was not very attentive or professional on Sunday, May 17th. I had a few questions and he was outside on his cell having a conversation with someone on speaker phone. I asked a question and he rudely told me to "wait a minute". Finally, he showed me how to pay for a card to use in the equipment. There were also a few minor leaks from the shafts going across the ceiling. They were leaking into small containers catching the water dripping. That looked as if it needed to be repaired immediately. All in in all, I would give it a 7 out of 10. The music was great! The oldies station plays while you wait. They also have refreshments for purchase. I would return. Hopefully, the minor inconveniences will be addressed/repaired prior to my return.

I was lucky enough to know about the Washing Well already, so I hauled my clothes across town to check it out. I was definitely pleased with my experience. In addition to being newer and cleaner than the laundromats from my college days, the prices are also very reasonable. I do appreciate that they always have an attendant on duty to help, since I couldn't figure out the machines on my own at first. The space is a little small, but the days I went were pretty warm so I hung out in the outdoor garden area while my laundry finished up. Overall, I would totally go back if I were in need of a laundromat again!

I will tell you what I had found there: The future. WaveMax Laundry is very clean both outside and inside. Absolutely nothing was dirty or even smudged on the tables and floors. What I thought was interesting, were the number of machines they had available, which is a plus. The rolling baskets were also in good supply. The young lady behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. She showed me where to purchase a WaveMax Laundry card, how to operate the washer, the dryer, and their settings. She had pointed to a machine which sanitized the water which was used in the washing process. I washed a large load and it only took 21 minutes. Drying was even quicker, as long as you have it on the right setting. My clothes came out clean, sanitized, and (eventually) dry. Unfortunately, I did not take advantage of the free wifi or the snack machine. They do offer detergent, fabric softeners and dryer sheets for a price. The dryer sheets came in handy, because it was the one item I had forgotten. WaveMax Laundry is what a future-focused laundromat should be, in my opinion. There was stuff everywhere. The floors were filthy. It looks like it's never been cleaned underneath their sinks, I wouldn't use their bathrooms, I would go outside first, it's just disgusting so I decided that I would email the company instead of posting a nasty review about them to see if I could get anything accomplished. Well, needless to say I did not I even offered to work there, he said he has 24 hour workers, which I've never seen I've seen a girl out there, sleeping a lot of times but nobody cleaning, I asked her if she worked there, she told me no, but they say they're clean. And all it's false advertisement. Plus, soap for sale, snack/drink vending machine, and bathrooms. The employee working was great, friendly and very active with cleaning and engaging with customers. I needed to wash a comforter and paid $7 for one of the 40-lb machines. It took 3 dry cycles at $1 each to get the thing dry--but not bad for $10 and an hour and a half of my time. The main downside is that the machines here only take cash and specifically only coins. There is a change machine which only spits out $1 coins. Great for the laundromat, not that useful elsewhere. I saw online that other locations now offer pay with card and that would be a little more convenient. Queen City Laundry also offers drop off service for $2.09/lb (10 lb minimum) and will clean your comforter for you for $19 (or $29 if it's down). They were also advertising their rug cleaning service, which I would look into using in the future.
