However, within 90 days they came back and told me that they would not be able to work on this file because they felt there wasn't enough substantial evidence proving wrongful death or wrongdoing in part of the memory care facility. Even though I provided substantial medical records as well as substantial evidence and information that substantiated the claim that the memory care facility was at fault. The medical records in itself showed that there were substantial injuries due to traumatic events that occurred. Still, they declined to represent my father. They simply did want to be bothered working on a case that was in their minds substantial in amount they would likely receive, but boy, were they wrong! However, we went with another law firm, Senior Justice Law, and not only did they take the case, but they won the case with a substantial settlement. Slim to impossible to get any communication. Our "point of contact" was very difficult to get a reply from... later found she also was no longer with the firm. We were not notified nor given a new point of contact. Overall, not just the lack of communication, I feel we did not receive professional quality representation nor did I feel valued as a client. I literally had to reach out to Pendas himself at least twice to get a reply from someone. I feel the firm constantly fumbled responsibilities and constantly blamed others in the firm rather than taking accountability and providing quality performance. I really wouldn't suggest this firm. Too stressful and a helpless feeling of isolation at a time of despair after being a victim of a car accident. Definitely feel they all could have done better.
