It's an unassuming shop tucked away in a strip mall with tons of great selections. Being an American girl, it fulfilled my every desire for English foods as I stereotypically know them. Their fish is huge - crisp in all the right places, soft in all the right places, way better than any I've ever had in the states. Delicious chips to go with the fish. Loved their saveloy, as well. I tried both the regular and battered, both were YUM. Had to also try their mushy peas which were equally tasty. When you're paying £2.10 for a 'large' chips you expect enough for about two adults. I don't know if it's as I'm not a particularly large person, so they assumed I wouldn't et as much, but it's always ridiculously small for me. My fiancé ordered chicken nuggets, which is also child-size. £2 for 6 chicken nuggets? He ended up getting a meal from tesco too. When it got to asking whether I wanted salt or vinegar on the chips (Well, she said You want?), she did so WHILE adding salt! I said No, I don't have any. If I weren't already having a rubbish day, I would have complained to them and made more of a scene demanding another portion. I've used this chip shop on the odd occasion, but purely as it's right where I live; convenience. I always end up having something else to eat too, as for their prices it just isn't enough.

I find them not too greasy (really, it is chips we are talking about!) as sometimes chips are just more greasy than they need. They have a few tables and chairs so that you can sit in and have your meal. It is a shame they don't serve your meal on a plate though, you get a take away carton. They also sell all the usual drinks, fizzy etc. The shop has a small car park at the rear which is a bit of a squeeze sometimes.

Fish was big and chunky but it didn't have the firm texture of fresh fish, it was a bit mushy and didn't taste fresh. Chips were ok but nothing special although there were lots of them. Service was friendly and efficient so no complaints on that score. Prices were about average for fish and chips. I've lived by the sea so I think I'm a pretty good judge when it comes to fish and chips. I've tried loads of fish and chip shops in MK, most of them are terrible and to be fair this is one of the better ones but it's not the best in my opinion but that's just my opinion and others might disagree, clearly lots of people rate it highly as it was very busy when I visited.

The majority of us that wanted to order food wanted dessert. Nothing wrong with that! Any normal business that doesn't have it stocked would phone and offer an alternative. Not Oceans! A grumpy and very rough Chinese looking bloke (Can't call him a gent) turned up at the door late, handed me the food and without eye contact muttered angrily Not doing this again. Got to be mostly proper food. Excuse me? I simply took this as a challenge. If they sell it, have it in stock and it's above the amount of money they're asking for delivery, then they deliver it! I simply explained how I write reviews, he'll be getting a negative one, and this isn't going to stop me if we all want cake. They are terrible with timing. When they say they'll be here at a certain time, I expect it 5 minutes either side of that time, and that's me being lenient. Arriving 40 minutes before the time stated is not acceptable. The last time we ordered, it was at 5pm. They stated the expected delivery time as 5:40. 10 minutes later we phoned and asked whether we could delay it until 6pm, as we still had cleaning to do in the house. The man on the phone rudely kept exiting the conversation to mutter at another man in a foreign language and giggle. He would then put the phone back to his ear and say Hello? This happened three times in one phone call. When I finally managed to say that we'd like the food 20 minutes later than the expected time, they said No, he's on the way now. I said No, the expected time is in half a hour and the shop is only 5 minutes away. After the mini struggle it was made clear they would be delivering to us at 6 or we cancel this order. We wouldn't have made such a fuss, but they were planning on delivering half a hour early! Why have I ordered again? 1 My fiancé used to like the chicken nuggets (Though last time he said they weren't very nice). And 2 I love a challenge. I'm a woman that stands up for herself and demands proper customer service. I'll bet the rude Chinese bloke was either fired or scared of me, as they now send a different, more polite man!
